@@Michael-rp5pvwell yeah but something happened that he probably never thought would(him realising he was in love with lorelai) and I guess we’ve never really seen Luke be surprised or shocked and he doesn’t seem like the type to make it a whole thing so I think the “woah” wasn’t very out of place
I think every Luke and Lorelai shipper cheered when they finally kissed. We waited so damn long for it.

When I first started watching this show I thought to myself “Luke and Lorelai should get together soon” and I am so glad they did!
But not “soon” lmao we had to wait like 4 seasons

You want to stand in the wings for years as the person you love dates all these other ppl as they Lean on you for emotional support, physical support, even financial support...but only ever acknowledging you as a “buddy/ pal” friend who is always there for THEM as they keep YOU at arms length apart from the times they actually need your kindness/ money/ support??? Dreamy.
Oh, and then when you do finally end up in a relationship, they don’t marry you for another five to ten years.

This is one of those couples where as an adult, I fully realize I shipped these two as a kid 30% bc I enjoyed the story, 15% bc I hope my own love life works out, and an overwhelming >50% bc I wished my parents were more stable. 😂😅 We joke about Lorelei and the whole odd dynamic she and Rory have, and the divorce, but actually Rory was SO lucky.
