@@neelkeanna7729 Rory kissed him and then ignored him for three months after saying she wanted a relationship, dated Dean during the kiss and throughout summer, and then when Jess never called she got upset. He told her she could've called too and moved on with a different girl. Then Lorelei and Rory did that to his car because he got a girlfriend. You know, because Lorelei is a nine-year-old in a thirty-year-old body.
sorry to be so offtopic but does someone know a trick to get back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Tahira Ellahi Sure, she's sweet, but being sweet doesn't mean that she couldn't have treated her boyfriends like they belonged to her. Remember what Rory said after she first slept with Dean; "He was my Dean first!" As if she had special rights to him.
@@PatientVoicesMatter jess was actually the only one of Rorys boyfriends to not cheat on her or use her to cheat on someone else both Logan and dean either cheated on her or used her to cheat on someone else though I guess she did cheat on both dean and Logan for jess but that wasn't his fault moral of this story Rory is something of a serial cheater and kinda sucks as a girlfriend in some moments.
Y’all keep forgetting that after seeing Jess once even after like 2-3 years or so, she went straight back to Yale. That’s how strong their bond was. That’s how good he was for her
I don’t think Jess’s words were the trigger more what his persona symbolizes. He was Stars Hallows black sheep no one expected much from him so he mirrored that in his behavior. He then perused his passion and didn’t let other people’s opinions get to him. He was showing her that if he could do this, she can.
@@heylol2509 he is. he's the one that encouraged her to go back to yale and try to be better. dean cheated on lindsay with rory so clearly he isnt the best bf ever, and logan did the same thing with rory and his fiance, so he's not great either, not to mention that logan just let rory go around committing federal crimes and stealing yachts like?? if ANYONE ended up beign good for her, it was jess. he always got her back on track and reminded her of who she was.
but we left out the BEST jess moments, like when he's the one who gets her back to Yale and when he comes back and says he WROTE A BOOK!!! he was a real jerk sometimes when he was a teenager but he's the one who grew up the most
logan grew and changed as a person throughout the series while jess pressured her into sex and abandoned her. he had offscreen character development and magically changed his ways? i dont think so.
True, def agree with all of this but he wasn't her bf at the time so if it's about who was the best bf while they were actually with her, that only considers Jess's jerky teenage persona.
Me at the beginning of the show: jess doesn't deserve rory!!! Me after they regressed rory's character and made jess mature: wow rory really doesn't deserve jess
Yes at the time of the revival, Jess was too good for Rory. She was a serial cheater, and had transformed from a sensible, responsible, grounded, and very likeable 16 year old into an entitled, spoilt, bratty, unlikeable 32 year old. I wish the writers had let Jess move on and be in a happy relationship with someone else, instead of still pining over Rory.
logan proposed to rory while they were still too young, he had a career path sorted for him and he wanted to settle down. rory still had things to figure out, she was clueless but she knew she didn't want to be tied down to one city. i couldn't pick the better boyfriend they all had their flaws
For Dean's fatal flaw; I'm surprised it wasn't anything from the Donna Reed episode. For Jess's; him leaving like that, I get but why not the time he couldn't talk/nor communicate any closure with Rory? As for Logan's fatal flaw; thought it would be his womanizing. Like cheating on Rory with an entire bridal party. But I can understand that he did other bad things too, later.
The way Jess and her connected and understand each other (several interests in common, good chemistry) I think they admired each other, their opinion was actually influential in their life. That’s why she goes back to college, she listened to him. However, he needed to mature when they first met, because he was careless with her feelings. He could have been perfect for her when he was older, great character development
Agreed. Especially that their influence had the most amount of impact on eachother. Didn't jess say that he couldn't have become an author without Rory?
This might be an unpopular opinion but personally i feel like Dean was a really good boyfriend but later when Rory changed, Dean felt that he wasn't meant for her. Of course he was jealous but we cannot ignore the fact that he was right about Jess! And he was really protective of her. He did put her in a third party situation later but I'm just expressing that as Rory's first love, he was perfect.
Dean loved Rory, but he was not on her level. Rory couldn’t grow next to him. He was holding her back. She couldnt look up to him and let him lead her, and that was the biggest problem with Dean. The only boyfriend that was on her level is Logan.
@@SunnythechestnutmareRory also cheated on Dean with Jess, Dean still put up with a lot with Jess throwing himself at Rory while they were still dating
Dean was a horrible boyfriend right from the beginning the donna reed episode pissed me offbso much and he also cheated on his wife. Once a cheater always a cheater
Jess' “aren’t we hooked on phonics” and the fact that he appreciated who Rory was and was rightfully pissed when she left Yale makes me believe he was her best boyfriend.
I know, Jess was always encouraging Rory to be her best self. They teased us a little TOO well in the revival, with the hint that he's still carrying some lingering feelings for her!😉💘
i am a logan girl for life😭😭 i thought they were the best together. she actually seemed really in love with him. and i think he was always the sweetest to her🥹
Ik he was obvi the best bf they both genuinely loved each other he should have just ghosted Odette for Rory and I feel as though Tristan could have been in the mix aswell
@@TessaPhieffer pls he didnt even think it was cheating since he thought they had broken up, + we are forgetting he doesnt know much abt proper relationships
I love Rory but i just realised how horrible she is, she cheated on Dean with Jess then with Dean when he was married. Then when she was with logan she cheated on him with jess. Like god keep hold of yourself.
Spoilers! When Dean saw Rory coming out from her grandparent's house with the boys behind her and wearing jewels you can really sympathize with him. Rory was becoming more and more priviliged and Dean was losing the Rory he fell in love with. The same thing happend to Jess and you really notice how she changed when Jess later asks her why she left Yale. Logan only knew Rory as the priviliged and slightly entitled girl that she became in Yale and maybe that's why they worked so well. Rory's character development really started to go down-hill in the later seasons. Anyway, that's just how I see it. Feel free to disagree. :)
As infuriating as Rory’s character got its actually quite realistic not all character change is for the better i personally think its her grandparents’ faults they put her on a pedestal and Lorelai didn’t exactly help.
I think Rory was always like that. Lorelei was from that world, but she was always different. She knew she didn’t belong in that world. But Rory didn’t seem to belong in the small town world. She fit in more in her grandparents world. I think her true self came out when she was exposed to that world.
Dean was a great first boyfriend. Handsome, polite, considerate and respectful. Jess was the typical troubled kid with an interest in adventure. He was pure lust, desire to play with danger. But he was NOT a dating guy. Logan was a mix of the two with additions. In addition to having the approval of the family, he was a cultured guy. They had things in common, and it was easy for them to have a long conversation about any topic. They matched PERFECTLY. So Logan was the perfect guy for Rory!
Noooo Logan was so bad he’s the reason Rory went off the rails I admit that Jess was bad at first but he became such a good guy while Rory was dealing with the mess of logan
It makes me soo unbelievably mad that Jess and Rory didn’t date again and didn’t end up together. I do love Logan but Jess is something else with Rory.
I cried when Rory told Logan she wasn't going to marry him. The worst is when he says, "goodbye, Rory".But I have to watch the scene over and over again
Logan was the best, 100%. The only guy who wasn't toxic. Not as controlling and jealous as Dean, not as unreliable and destructive as Jess. Logan smiled constantly around Rory. He helped her mature, and she him. Logan was the only one Rory made a real team with. She was too much of a free spirit for Dean and too ambitious for a drifter like Jess. Logan, with all his childish faults, made her a better person and she him. He understood her, he supported her in his ambitions. Not marrying him will always be Rory's biggest mistake, imo. They complement each other well.
Not jealous and controlling? He literally started dating Rory seriously just because he started getting too controlling about her. He thought it would be okay for him to date/see other girls while also dating Rory but then he got mad when Rory went out with another guy. He also was a snob, making fun of Jess' book. Then he yelled at Rory and slept with a bunch of other girls when he and Rory weren't broken up. And don't you remember the time he stole something from Emily and Richard's house and almost got the maid fired? Just because he's a spoiled rich brat who gives no fs about a working class woman?
And also i don't think Logan made Rory mature, I actually think he was a bad influence on her. She already was turning into a shit person since she cheated on Dean with Jess, but Logan didn't make her mature imo.
@@nataliare576L take. No one said Logan didn’t have his flaws. Also, you’re just referencing things from the beginning of their relationship. They grew mature together for sure by season 7. Even Paris herself admitted that she was completely wrong about him.
Jess is the one who has grown as a character and has the greatest potential to be in a healthy successful relationship with Rory as adults they bring out the best in each other and he obviously still has feelings for her Jess is her Luke they belong together
She's too shitty for him. Honesty. He's not my favourite character but he deserves better. I love Logan but they messed up his character development last season
Agreed. I didn’t like how they treated the beginning of their relations ship but when he came back after leaving if she had said yes to Jess they could’ve had a great life together. She needed to be with dean and let Jess take the time to grow up
The last couple seasons I believe weren't by the Paladino's (original writers) since ABC or what ever wanted to cut it short an they didn't want that so they dropped out of the show an the writers that had been on the team since the beginning continues it. Then the Netflix series is what they actually wanted the season to end like with a few tweaks of course.
I love how Rory says she reads A LOT and when she asks Jess he says not much even though he probably reads just as much as her or maybe even more. Love that part :D
My favourite thing was whenever he was super serious about what he had to say to her he always said Rory instead of ace. He first called her Rory during their first kiss, he called her Rory during every serious goodbye and whenever he told her he loved her it was always Rory
Dean was so smart and sweet in the beginning, and once Jess entered the scene he completely lost his mind 😅 (Don't get me wrong, I'm team Jess all the way, but I kinda understand why Dean went crazy)
Kristen Ibrahim But it’s unfortunate to see a character change for the worse. Usually shows try to have character development where the person gets better as the show goes on, but Rory went in reverse and became more and more shallow. Maybe that is what the creator intended though.
Monet Chandler don’t be upset because the creator wanted to give the ending a more realistic approach. Rory was a spoiled kid, and has a pretty adventurous mother... I think she turned out the way someone in that place would.
@@kristenibrahim9504 the creator actually left for the last season so it was the writers decisions. Her character regressed in the final season and even when the creator returned for A Year In the Life, she continued to regress. At least Jess had character development.
Dean, the best boyfriend. Jess, the best soulmate. Logan, the best partner. Dean taught her know what it is to be loved, Jess helped her be on the right path, Logan made her a mature person. All of them supported and loved Rory in their own way.
Dean wasn’t ever that great of a bf. He was way too possessive and jealous whenever Rory wanted to think about school or her future. He was whiny and needy and didn’t really support her when it wasn’t something that he didn’t think was valid. He always showed the signs that he really wanted someone like Lindsey to be a wife and mother and love a simple life. He knew she didn’t want that and it made him insecure which is why he’d act so jealous and possessive. He really let that show when he argued with Luke and told him that Lorelai would get tired of him and want more than he could give her. They were always a bad match. Jess had issues but he was more what a teenage first love should be like. They liked the same things and they had fun and it wasn’t about forever. It wouldn’t have been as good for the show, but from the outside looking in, it feels like she should have married Logan when he asked. Especially since now we know they’re still circling back to one another. I love Rory and Jess the most, but I think Logan has the best of both sides of Rory, a little unpredictable and exciting like Jess, but ability to be stable and reliable like Dean. Thanks for coming to my Gilmore Girls TED talk
@@bibi-yy8mr logan and dean cheated on their s/o's to be with rory, who had no problem with it?? jess is the ONLY one who waited until they were both single to actually get with her. something about dean and logan making it seem okay to cheat doesnt sit right w me
Jess is the one. He always helped Rory to find her way in times of crisis when no one else could and understands her on levels no one else does. They are soulmates but met each other at the wrong time.
I agree but he didnt talk to her, he was always there for her but the fact that he didn't want her to be there for him is why they aren't meant to be all tho in the "year in the life" i think Jess was great he helped her though a though time, when she was with her grandparents and becoming a spoiled brat he was the one who putted her in the right track again so what I'm trying to say is that I'm team Logan and Jess
@@madeleinehaddad1350 when I first watched the show a few months back I thought he sounded pretty stupid and desperate when he said that but watching it again he was right.
In my mind Jess would be the best boyfriend. He never really pushed her , exept when he got her to go back to Yale. I think she did go back because off what he said and she wouldn't dissapoint him by giving up. ?🤷♀️❤
@@LulleH1982I personally didn’t like Jess at the beginning I felt he was a bad influence but he definitely became a better character as he grew and I think they would’ve been great together if Rory didn’t turn out the way she did. I actually think he deserves better than Rory at this point.
I can't help but have a crush on Jess, maybe because of his bad boy '90s look or his personality of taking care of people without them knowing that I love them
Two times in Rory’s life when she was lost, Jess helped her to find her path again. When she had quit college, he woke her up that what she was doing wasn’t like her. She also wrote the book because of him, when she was lost with her job. I think he was the only boyfriend that could really get through to her and really knew her. Jess deserves beter than Rory tho.
Rory and Jesse were endgame for me after rewatching the whole show. Even if they weren't right when they were younger that scene where they meet up again and Jesse has had time to mature and find himself he was perfect guy right there. Plus I think he was the main thing that convinced Rory to go back to yale and opened her eyes.
Rory is caught between two different worlds and Jess is a drifter. They go together. You could never see Logan in Stars Hollow and his family had plans for him, it would be impossible. All three never stopped loving Rory though. Logan was clearly a replacement for what would have been Tristan's character.
Jess is the best one without a question. He had a great character development, has so much in common with rory, made rory see her mistakes in life twice, helping her on getting her life together. He is the best! NETFLIX, GIVE US ANOTHER SEASON. THE FINAL ONE.
Jess was the best one for Rory in some time but I think that now she deserves someone more like Logan and ofcourse Jess deserves someone as amazing as him.♥️😀
y’all did my boy jess DIRTY when in reality he grew the most through the seasons & had the best chemistry with rory whilst they were dating. by the time they were adults, he was the only one who would’ve been healthy for her.
Truee. Jess was immature and troubled and he needed some time to work on himself and I could say that he did a good damn job on last season. Throughout the series he was the one who had the best character development. He wasn't a good boyfriend material at first but he definitely is husband material on the last season
Jess is the only boyfriend who is not a cheater. (Dean cheated on his wife with Rory, Logan cheated on Rory and cheated on his fiancé, while Jess broke up with Shane before he got together with Rory)
Aura Bae no, he didnt. In his mind he was single, he didnt have the intention to cheat on her. But Rory knew the were together when she cheated on him with Jess.
SHE DIDN’T CHEAT ON LOGAN WITH JESS!!! She literally went to congratulate a friend but went alone because she knew Logan would be a jerk about it and HE kissed HER. It really wasn’t her plan I don’t think.
Dean was a perfect first love. Tristan was the one that got away. Jess didn't deserve Rory at first, but after his character development, Rory didn't deserve Jess. Logan helped Rory grow and mature, but wasn't mature himself.
@@holleyvanheerden627 he was the guy from Chilton that Paris liked, but he liked Rory. He always called her Mary and treated her like a jerk. They also kissed at the party when he got dumped
Dean cheated on his wife and Logan was a reckless playboy. They both may have genuinely cared even loved Rory, but those would have been red flags if it was me. Jess was angry and rude for the most part, which would have been a red flag for me, but when he returned as a hard working, more level headed it complicates things for me. On paper, how do you now give him a second chance, when he really has become so worthy, but all of the past trauma would be hard to forget. Dean mirrored her wholesomeness and innocence, Jess mirrored her intelligence and creativity, Logan mirrored her family pressures and obligations.
"Dean mirrored her wholesomeness and innocence, Jess mirrored her intelligence and creativity, Logan mirrored her family pressures and obligations." Excellent take!! 💯
I CANT BELIEVE HE HAD TO LEAVE THE SHOWWW :( And lane ended up with ZACH? They did lane SOOO dirty, Dave was literally the most perfect character on the show, I can't even name a single flaw ab him
I low-key ship her and Tristan and he is a mixture of Logan and dean in my opinion. I can also see a mixture of Jess and dean in him. Sorry if i spelled something wrong
TEAM LOGAN HERE. Yes in the begging Logan was a trust fund kid who didn’t have a care in the world, but when he got with Rory she help develop him into the great man he was in season 6,7. Logan and Rory were my favourite and they worked so well together because they helped each other improve, they had similar lifestyles, and because they had that click as a couple together. To me they were 99% (100 if Rory said yes to the proposal 🙄)while with Jess it felt 75% and Dean it was like 65%. SPECIAL SHOUT-OUT TO KURK AND PARIS FOR BEING MY FAVOURITES ON THE SHOW 💃💃
Umm Rory literally skipped SCHOOL and went on a bus to New York and missed her mom's graduation for Jess and cheated on Logan and Dean with Jess like hello
This may have been said before but imma say it again. I feel that each boyfriend was perfect for the time period and age Rory was when she dated them. Dean: He was the perfect first boyfriend for Rory. He was nice and thoughtful towards Rory to show her how much someone should care for her in a relationship. He was a lot of firsts for Rory so their relationship was special but as time passed and she got older, she grew out of that stage in her life and needed to move on. Jess: He was perfect for Rory as she started to become more independent and find herself in her teen years. He was a different type of bad boy that helped Rory grow, he also was like an equal to Rory which was great for her as she found someone to match the way she thought. But then again she grew out of her teenage years and had to move on with life. Logan: He was the perfect boyfriend for Rory when they were in collage because not only did he absolutely love Rory he challenged and could also keep up with the way she thought. He was a big part of Rory growing more mature and supporting her while she made life changing decisions . Also Rory changed each one of the boys whether that was a big change or a small change. But lol just my opinion :) Edit: holy guacamole I wrote a lot guess it all just came out lol.
Logan was a player. When Rory told him she had things she wanted to do before she got married (she was right) If Logan really loved her he would have waited for her
Why on Earth is everyone saying Jess??? Did we watch the same show???!! The same Jess that never wanted to take her on dates? The same Jess that never called her when he said he would? The same Jess that was disrespectful to Lorelai and Luke?? The same Jess that forced himself on Rory and got mad at her for it???🤨 you guys literally only like Jess bc he reads books lol… Meanwhile DEAN was always respectful of rory and her family, he did everything she ever asked him to do, he did cute spontaneous things out of the blue for her (building her a car!!), and yet HEEEE gets labeled as being jealous and possessive while rory was LEGIT cheating on him!!! & let’s not forget that Dean also read all of Rory’s books and would talk to her about them and her fav movies! He went to her school dance, the debutante ball, all the movie nights, Friday night dinner, etc bc he knew it was important to her! Also he was the CUTESTTTTT Everything Dean got upset over was 100% justified (rory shouldn’t have had lunch with Jess even though he bought her basket, she should not have let him stay over on her night alone, she should not have let him drive the car Dean built for her). The only time Dean was ever the problem in their relationship was whenever she didn’t say she loved him back, but it was because he was young and hurt. The way he handled the breakup (whole town hating him bc rory wouldn’t say what rlly happened) showed how great he was. If ppl forgive Jess for literally assaulting her bc he was “young and dumb” why doesn’t Dean get the same sympathy for a much lesser crime??🤨 also Jess’s personality is awful he’s so bitter and whiney and negative and he brings rory down so much! He disappoints her 24/7 and it’s sooo obvious he’s her Christopher (commits to her and then leaves her lol), not Dean!! Even when they were broken up and he saw that Jess made Rory cry, he immediately protected Rory. People forgive Jess for all the awful things he’s done bc he wrote a book (🙄) but won’t forgive Dean’s one mistake (which Rory was also responsible for). Dean is and will always be the better option. I’m team logan tho
The same Jess who broke up with his gf before doing anything with Rory, encouraged her Harvard dreams, shared books and music with her, gave her the home truths needed to send her back to Yale when Lorelai couldn't get through to her, told her he couldn't have written his book without her and gave her career advice to get her life back on track in the revival? Not to mention the guy who started out angry and resentful to Luke but ended up appreciating and having the sweetest relationship with him. Yeah, that guy.
Jess deserved much better than this, he was her equal in every way and I loved the way he challenged her and kept her on her toes, she should have ended up with him...
I think Rory didn't deserve Jess in the end. She was still this girl who was stringing along a guy she didn't care for and cheating with Logan. Jess had his life together and was a writer, he could do better than Rory in my opinion.
Jess was her soulmate. And I can explain why. Dean left her the first time because he was thinking that he doesn't belong in her world. Logan and Rory break up the first time because Logan couldn't just wait till they are both ready for marriage. In the other hand Jess not only break up with Rory but left town because he was ashamed that he failed at school. He disappoint her and Lucas. Now let's talk about how Dean put her in the position of the third person in his marriage and how Logan didn't hesitate to have also an secret affair with her while he was engaged with someone else (A year in the Life of Gilmore Girls). (Sure, Rory wasn't a saint.) Jess would never make her the plan B. She was always the plan A for him. She was just too stupid to realise it. I think at the end they had a connection similar to Lorelai's with Luke. They had friends to lovers vibes.
@Dani Trigo Maybe Rory and Jess are only friends but that doesn't make Logan a good match for her. He is still toxic. Yes, their baby will be beautiful. But still... As for Rory, she is copywriting her mother on such many things... I can't even start about this. This is a completely new topic.
i'm really late but logan all the way. it was so cute how he always tried to cheer rory up but he could be stupid sometimes and rory just changed him into a better person
No matter whose side you are on, you have to admit these: Dean was the best boyfriend. Jess loved and understood Rory the most. Rory loved Logan the most. *Rory didn’t deserve any of them* *Side Note:* I’ve gotten lots of comments explaining why Dean was not the best boyfriend, and I agree. The only reason why I said that Dean was the best boyfriend, was because he truly wanted the best for Rory. He’s a bit toxic at times, but I think Rory was lucky to have Dean. Now, you might be asking, what about when Dean cheated on his wife, Lindsay (Lindsey) with Rory? Yes, but at FIRST, he was a great first boyfriend for Rory. Rory did treat him like dirt and lied to his face when Jess came (don’t get me wrong, Jess is great now), which just proves how bad a girlfriend Rory was. Anyways, my point is, even if Dean was toxic (clingy, possessive, etc.) in his own way, Rory still didn’t deserve him.
I believe Rory loved Jess the most bcz she literally crossed all her boundaries for him travelling through bus to see him in another city. I believe Rory and Jess were present but at wrong time
I hate the way Dean regresses as a character. At the beginning he really was a pretty good boyfriend, and you forget that because of the jerk he ends up as. He was sort of whiny and mopey in the earlier seasons, but what 16 year old boy isn't?
exactly... Dean was great in the beginning, but his character just got worse when Jess came into the picture - he just couldn't handle it. (not that Jess was a whole lot better in the beginning of him and Rory either, when it came to Dean)
Not to mention that they made him stupid. He loved books and he was in sync with Rory but then they just gave Jess that trait and made Dean forget all that.
theory: Logan is her Christopher (because he's probably her baby's father), Dean is nobody, and Jess is her Luke. They'll probably work it out eventually.
honestly, i loved jess. even though he wasn't the best character in the beginning, he grew into a smarter & stronger person towards the end. he was actually the only one of rory's boyfriends who got his life together by becoming the owner of a bookstore in philly and became an author, while logan is jumping off cliffs and dean is a divorcee. jess was the one who truly loved rory, and really wanted to be with her forever, which is why he kissed her when she visited his bookstore. i'm sorry to all those people who say logan is the best, just i'm team jess all the way.
Dean was just that first crush and butterflies. Jess was that first real connection and real heartbreak. Logan was great fun and pushed her out of her comfort zone but then he became the comfort zone in a bad way. He wanted Rory but he never chose Rory. I love Logan but I do think they are bad for each other. Rory let him cheat on fiancé, arranged or not. Logan loved rory along for the ride or whatever path was chosen for him. Thus, never pushing Rory to actually be better and do more. Jess and Rory no matter how much time goes by always still manage to be there for each other and push the other in the right direction. They aren’t afraid to call out the others BS. I’m just not sure in the end Rory was in a place to be loved by anybody. I hope she finds her way again.
Rory's relationship with Jess has always mimicked the relationship between Luke and loralie. Timing was never a strong point but he was and is always there. I will always and forever be team Jess!
Rory and Logan had CHEMISTRY and when they were together they couldn’t get enough of each other, now don’t get me wrong I love love love Jess but let’s be honest he deserved better than Rory...
Rory isn't all that bad! she's hella flawed sure, but who isn't. Jess was pretty flawed too i mean come on. maybe she's taking longer than him to fix herself but everyone has a different pace.
iNidem yeah she is: She slept with a married and an engaged man, Stole a boat(because some guy told her that journalist wasn’t the best job for her) Dropped out of college for the most stupid reason Didn’t talk to her mom for months because she didn’t want to admit she was wrong Disrespected her grandparents when they let Rory move in In the Revival she totally forgot about poor Paul! He was always there for her and she literally didn’t care. She also thought she was too good for Sandee Says when she clearly wasn’t! Conclusion: Now you see why I hate her
team logan all the way, he had a cute nickname for her, treated her well, understood her and way perfect. Rorys family liked him too and he was so sweet and brought fun into her life making her take risks. Team logan❤

He’s still not good for her idc
@@heylol2509 he is. he's the one that encouraged her to go back to yale and try to be better. dean cheated on lindsay with rory so clearly he isnt the best bf ever, and logan did the same thing with rory and his fiance, so he's not great either, not to mention that logan just let rory go around committing federal crimes and stealing yachts like?? if ANYONE ended up beign good for her, it was jess. he always got her back on track and reminded her of who she was.

You literally just explained it perfectly as to why I like Jess so much
Honestly
logan grew and changed as a person throughout the series while jess pressured her into sex and abandoned her. he had offscreen character development and magically changed his ways? i dont think so.
True, def agree with all of this but he wasn't her bf at the time so if it's about who was the best bf while they were actually with her, that only considers Jess's jerky teenage persona.

BIG FACTS
Yes at the time of the revival, Jess was too good for Rory. She was a serial cheater, and had transformed from a sensible, responsible, grounded, and very likeable 16 year old into an entitled, spoilt, bratty, unlikeable 32 year old. I wish the writers had let Jess move on and be in a happy relationship with someone else, instead of still pining over Rory.
YEPPPPPPP !
True
logan proposed to rory while they were still too young, he had a career path sorted for him and he wanted to settle down. rory still had things to figure out, she was clueless but she knew she didn't want to be tied down to one city. i couldn't pick the better boyfriend they all had their flaws
him proposing felt so much like when Christopher proposed to Lorelei when she was pregnant
Rory's best boyfriend?? How is it 2019 and we're still debating this? The answer has always been clear to me: Paris 🤷♀️

The way Jess and her connected and understand each other (several interests in common, good chemistry) I think they admired each other, their opinion was actually influential in their life. That’s why she goes back to college, she listened to him. However, he needed to mature when they first met, because he was careless with her feelings. He could have been perfect for her when he was older, great character development
right person wrong time.
because the actors were dating at the time.
If you want to fall in love with Milo Ventimiglia again, I recommend you see "This is us".
you couldn’t have said it better
@@tatjanarusso1729 hopefully another spin-off
No no no he cheated on his wife with her maybe he was good to her but that automatically makes him the worst
@@SunnythechestnutmareRory also cheated on Dean with Jess, Dean still put up with a lot with Jess throwing himself at Rory while they were still dating
@Klikka1 the question here is not of being led but of being inspired.
If you've seen the "Year in the Life", then you KNOW he is the best
I know, Jess was always encouraging Rory to be her best self. They teased us a little TOO well in the revival, with the hint that he's still carrying some lingering feelings for her!😉💘
Remember that he also wanted her to leave Yale at some point.
And Milo is and will always be the cutest

I love Rory but i just realised how horrible she is, she cheated on Dean with Jess then with Dean when he was married. Then when she was with logan she cheated on him with jess. Like god keep hold of yourself.
Exactly! I mean they all had flaws but Rory kinda encouraged them, honestly, she needs to learn what she wants!
You only realise this now? I can never follow why everyone thinks Rory is an angel child. She did some pretty horrible stuff.
she stole a boat for christ’s sake
Coco Ford-Craik she’s only human
She didn't cheat on Logan with jess. She when to dinner with jess, but she didn't kiss him.
totally agree
cool point of view.
As infuriating as Rory’s character got its actually quite realistic not all character change is for the better i personally think its her grandparents’ faults they put her on a pedestal and Lorelai didn’t exactly help.
@@andreasikes7551 Yes that's very true! I wonder who she would have been if Loralai had never made the Friday night dinner deal.

Oh my God, this is literally easily the best opinion I have ever heard on this. God bless you for this
Noooo Logan was so bad he’s the reason Rory went off the rails I admit that Jess was bad at first but he became such a good guy while Rory was dealing with the mess of logan
Logan reminded me of Rory’s dad, Christopher

Rory was never able to break up with her boyfriends. Even that guy on the revival who btw she didn't even like.
True
Well there was Logan
The guy on the revival was named Paul
Just figured I would be nice and share that with you
Logan was the best, 100%.
Yeah he's my second choice bc he still slept with like 5 girls.

@@princefelix9981 It was the CW. :) And it was just season 7 that the Paladinos didn't write.

The fact that she call her Ace melts my heart he is the sweetest.
My favourite thing was whenever he was super serious about what he had to say to her he always said Rory instead of ace. He first called her Rory during their first kiss, he called her Rory during every serious goodbye and whenever he told her he loved her it was always Rory
Dean was so smart and sweet in the beginning, and once Jess entered the scene he completely lost his mind 😅
(Don't get me wrong, I'm team Jess all the way, but I kinda understand why Dean went crazy)
they really messed up rory’s character near the end
Yeah, she becomes such a bratty jerk!
They? Lol you mean the creator. The one who knew Rory the best?
Omg the best comment 😢❤

I felt like he was a mix of Jess and Logan more idk it's the smooth talker thing they both had going but yeah agree with that ship too
Same feeling. He was as smart as Logan and jess combined. As kind as dean and as rebellious as jess

Thank you I was so mad they never explored a relationship with her and Tristan
TEAM LOGAN HERE.
Yes in the begging Logan was a trust fund kid who didn’t have a care in the world, but when he got with Rory she help develop him into the great man he was in season 6,7. Logan and Rory were my favourite and they worked so well together because they helped each other improve, they had similar lifestyles, and because they had that click as a couple together. To me they were 99% (100 if Rory said yes to the proposal 🙄)while with Jess it felt 75% and Dean it was like 65%.

@@chiarapranzo3427 Yess. He is my fav❤️
But lol just my opinion :)
Edit: holy guacamole I wrote a lot guess it all just came out lol.
Nakigirl587 woah I was thinking the same!
Logan was a player. When Rory told him she had things she wanted to do before she got married (she was right) If Logan really loved her he would have waited for her
Gilmore Girls is 19 years old❤️
Kankii tam 300. like oldum 😘😘
Why on Earth is everyone saying Jess??? Did we watch the same show???!! The same Jess that never wanted to take her on dates? The same Jess that never called her when he said he would? The same Jess that was disrespectful to Lorelai and Luke?? The same Jess that forced himself on Rory and got mad at her for it???🤨 you guys literally only like Jess bc he reads books lol…
Meanwhile DEAN was always respectful of rory and her family, he did everything she ever asked him to do, he did cute spontaneous things out of the blue for her (building her a car!!), and yet HEEEE gets labeled as being jealous and possessive while rory was LEGIT cheating on him!!! & let’s not forget that Dean also read all of Rory’s books and would talk to her about them and her fav movies! He went to her school dance, the debutante ball, all the movie nights, Friday night dinner, etc bc he knew it was important to her! Also he was the CUTESTTTTT
Everything Dean got upset over was 100% justified (rory shouldn’t have had lunch with Jess even though he bought her basket, she should not have let him stay over on her night alone, she should not have let him drive the car Dean built for her). I’m team logan tho
i LOVEEEEE dean too!! Jess isnt even as cute as dean lol AND HE PRACTICALLY SA'D RORY!!!!!!!!!
Jess was too good for Rory
She did.
Dyana Bartley it was so sad in the mini series, a year in the life, when jess looked at rory through the window in her house in the last episode 😭🥺💔
Dyana Bartley he wanted to run away to New York w her when she clearly would never want to leave her family behind 😑
Netflix why y’all doin this if yo ain’t gonna release a new season 😩
Or maybe they will?!?!?!?!?!
Sir Muks-a-lot tea
Sir Muks-a-lot LOL TAHRUE!! Hopefully this is a teaser that they’re coming out with another season???

This is a completely new topic.
i love dean hes kinda dramatic but so cute and sweet and so generous!
i'm really late but logan all the way. it was so cute how he always tried to cheer rory up but he could be stupid sometimes and rory just changed him into a better person
No matter whose side you are on, you have to admit these:
Dean was the best boyfriend.
Jess loved and understood Rory the most.
Rory loved Logan the most.
*Rory didn’t deserve any of them*
*Side Note:* I’ve gotten lots of comments explaining why Dean was not the best boyfriend, and I agree. Anyways, my point is, even if Dean was toxic (clingy, possessive, etc.) in his own way, Rory still didn’t deserve him.
lmaoo fr tho
I believe Rory loved Jess the most bcz she literally crossed all her boundaries for him travelling through bus to see him in another city. I believe Rory and Jess were present but at wrong time

I like Logan the best like he has a bit temper issues but he did so much for her and I was devastated when she didn’t say yes to the proposal
I believe it’s because Rory ended up treating him so shitty towards the end of their relationship plus the whole Lindsey thing.
Not to mention that they made him stupid. He loved books and he was in sync with Rory but then they just gave Jess that trait and made Dean forget all that.
They really did ruin his character. I actually used to love him, but then he just went downhill.
I don‘t understand why everybody hates him. The person that became a jerk was Rory and nobody else.
honestly Jess and Rory could’ve worked out if they met at the right time.
YES
theory: Logan is her Christopher (because he's probably her baby's father), Dean is nobody, and Jess is her Luke. They'll probably work it out eventually.
@@saharaasher8959 Dean is her Max

Sahara Asher I think Logan is a lot more mature than Christopher
honestly, i loved jess. even though he wasn't the best character in the beginning, he grew into a smarter & stronger person towards the end. he was actually the only one of rory's boyfriends who got his life together by becoming the owner of a bookstore in philly and became an author, while logan is jumping off cliffs and dean is a divorcee. jess was the one who truly loved rory, and really wanted to be with her forever, which is why he kissed her when she visited his bookstore. i'm sorry to all those people who say logan is the best, just i'm team jess all the way.

Yes. The mirrored version of her mother's love. After the ending to the Netflix special, even more so!

Yeah me tooo 😘
Rory and Logan had CHEMISTRY and when they were together they couldn’t get enough of each other, now don’t get me wrong I love love love Jess but let’s be honest he deserved better than Rory...
that's totally my point
Rory isn't all that bad! she's hella flawed sure, but who isn't. Jess was pretty flawed too i mean come on. maybe she's taking longer than him to fix herself but everyone has a different pace.
iNidem maybe I shouldn’t have said he deserved more but rather someone more matured, I totally agree with what you said both of them were flawed
iNidem yeah she is:
She slept with a married and an engaged man,
Stole a boat(because some guy told her that journalist wasn’t the best job for her)
Dropped out of college for the most stupid reason
Didn’t talk to her mom for months because she didn’t want to admit she was wrong
Disrespected her grandparents when they let Rory move in
In the Revival she totally forgot about poor Paul! He was always there for her and she literally didn’t care.
She also thought she was too good for Sandee Says when she clearly wasn’t!
Conclusion: Now you see why I hate her
