Black wheels and wing with the mint looks great 👍🏻
I agree...The black wheels and wing make it look a little "angry" 😂 Thanks for watching!
Looks ace. Have the same mint green body and black wing/wheels too. Also have a white Javelin!
You have good style then don't you 😆. The white looks great too...I had a hard time deciding between the two of them. It came out great though...thanks for watching!
Came out great!👍😊
I think so too! Other than the driver figure, I should try to get better at painting them. I'm not sure I have the patience just yet. 😂
Love the look of it! I don't think I will leave mine in the orange cage (once I get one) but I have not figured out which color to go with. It is really amazing how it completely transforms the Optima into a completely different buggy. Kyosho had a tremendously good idea when they did these! A real 2 for one special on their part! Nice walk through of the whole process!
You would never know it's the same chassis by looking at it. It does look like a totally different RC model. I'm going to pick up a white cage and red wing just in case I want to change it in the future. Of course now I've been looking for a cheap Optima chassis for the old body 😂
Great stuff Erik! Love what you have done converting this and in my opinion looks better 🙌🏻
I agree Craig...the Javelin looks awesome, mean, menacing...but still has that vintage buggy look. It was so worth it. Thanks for the support!
Looks fantastic! 👌😀
Thanks! I'm going to run it this weekend...if it can stop raining in New York...ggggrrrrr 😢
@@eekrc Sounds great! Yeah,we have nothing but rain here in Sweden aswell at the moment 🤣
i did the same thing with my optima . hence why the optima has mysteriously disapeared ffom my videos 😂 cost me quite a bit in the end as isent with a mixed colour cage and then needed black wheels 😂
looks fab . i do like the mint.
the rearon why was tbe optima body cracked after two runs 😬
Great video.
I actually have done the conversion to an original Optima with a re-release Orange cage.
Only issue is the wing mount, but Pargu to the rescue for that.
Now though, I’ve been trying to find used re-release Optima’s as I have new Black, White and fluro Yellow cage sets. So far I have 2 donor chassis, so that’s at least 2 I can build over my winter break 😃
Yes, the wing mount is a pain. I've been looking for a cheap optima chassis too to put my body on... haven't had any luck yet. I love the white cage too...with a black wing and the red shocks...it looks so good.
Hey thanks for making this. I really wanted a Jav, and so when the turbo optima came back in stock I snapped it up. The gold bits are nice, but maybe too nice, I'll be afraid to use it. I'm busy building it now, just have to install the electronics and paint the driver figure. Seems a shame to unbuild the Turbo optima, but I really want a jav. I've got the Kyosho LeMans motor and ESC. Damn, Kyosho are artists, and the Legendary series is just amazing.
They are all great, but the Javelin is by far my favorite. Love the turbo optima too...but yes I probably wouldn't drive it much, it's too pretty to get all banged up great build though, the engineering is amazing on these kits. I also restored an Ultima a while back...check out that video if you want. But that was a vintage one...thanks for watching!
