i wish i could go back to playing this game for the first time. my friend showed it to me for the first time in 2013, time moves too quickly.

I feel the same way. It was actually exactly 2013 when my friend introduced me to Minecraft. We were just meeting. We never were close but my mom was having a coffee meeting with her mom to talk about the homeschool co-op she ran and to see if it would be a good fit for me. Me and her were in the corner of Starbucks playing on her iPad (I didn't have one and was all 🤩 over hers) and she opened Minecraft. I was watching her play and she was showing me how it worked. She didn't know much at the time now that I'm looking back on it but she had built a little dessert cave base and was lighting it up. I asked my mom if I could play it when I got home. Little 8 year old me was so excited and wanted to play it so badly. My other friends weren't allowed to play it bc their parents were strict. Since I didn't have a tablet or phone of iPad I used the family computer. I spent my birthday money buying it for myself. Can't remember exactly what version it was so correct me if I'm wrong but I wanna say it was 1.8.3. I opened it the first time and got so excited. I got a tablet that year for Christmas and bought it on there too. I named my first world "Zania". I still continue to call things Zania as a callback to those days for me. It was so much simpler then. When I had time to play and have fun. I'm about to graduate highschool and I need to get a job, think abt colleges, focus on my career, start worrying about cars and gas, groceries, money, friendships, relationships, it's all so much. I miss those days

yeah, time goes way too fast lately. especially after 2020. i don't know why, but it feels like everything's changed. and *not* for the better. everything is going downhill so quickly, will we even make it past 2050?

this video made me remember an old world i had with my dad back on the ps4. we would sit on the couch together and just enjoy the game. we had an expansive mine with a minecart railway taking you down - my dad loved it. we also explored a woodland mansion and had some dogs and a suitable house. not a crazy elaborate world, but good enough. unforgettable memories.

Sadly enough, there was a last time my whole friend group played Minecraft together. The worst part is, I cant remember the day we stopped, but I do remember going back to one of the worlds I owned. Walking down the gravel path we used to take to go mining, passing by my house untouched for years, finding my friends dog sitting in a little den he made for it. A good time forever preserved. The worst part is, I really REALLY cant remember trying to go back. One day we played, and then one day, we didnt.

In 2015 I had a world with my best friend in sixth grade and every day after school we would go to the band hall and play on our phones. But during that summer I moved away with my family and we never entered that world together again, we also slowly lost contact with each other until the last time I ever saw him was in 2018. To this day I still have it on my phone but I barely ever go in there again except to remember the good times. That year is still the most special year in my life because it feels like the last time I ever had true friends. I’m in college now but I still feel like I’m waiting to go back to that school, like my life is on pause until I can see all the friends I never wanted to leave behind

10 years ago I could have never imagined the impact that this soundtrack would have on me listening to it nowadays.
This year has been the most nostalgic year of my life. My older brother is graduating at the end of the year and moving to another state and my little brother became a teenager this year. In just a few months I'm going to be the oldest child in my house and my older brother won't be there to guide me through life. It's now my turn to do the same with my little brother. The number one thing I have to remember the good days is this soundtrack. I'm at the next checkpoint of my life

I’m 16, I’ve been playing mine craft since i was six. 10 years of one game doesn’t feel that long, but I’ve met and lost people through this game. I went through terrible life threading depression that led to my clinical depression diagnosis. The is game was here for me even when I had zero friends. I had my pets and my builds to make and my farms to make. It stopped me from hurting myself many times. I grew with this game and I’ll never forget it. Even when I’m old and feeble
Missing the old times just means you did it right, that’s the reason I’m grateful. Feeling this nostalgia is a good sign :)

Now that i think about it, we are the generation that toke the oldest time to grow up, just 100 year back ppl didn't even went through all the expirience of school, they had to work early, and woman had to marry some weird guy when they were 15. (Take in mind that these things hapened in my country idk if things were diferent in other countrys)

I remember when I quit Minecraft for a couple years thinking I should find other games, but I look back and still remember never quite finishing something I thought I had time for but now years later the countless updates took that world from me but now it's just a memory that I'll cherish for years to come and regret not spending more time on.

I was kind of young in 2013 but I remember watching my older brother play minecraft. I loved the music and one day he helped me make a pen with pink sheep and mushroom cows. I haven't played Minecraft in a while. Since I was eleven but I kind of wanna play it again. Maybe one last goodbye to my childhood before highschool. I'm scared of growing up. I'm scared about going to college and moving out. I'm upset that other girls my age are so much more mature than me, I feel like I've lost a part of myself that I'll never be able to get back. I'm so different now. I miss when I had tea-parties with my stuffed animals and having non-toxic friends. I miss who I used to be but at the same time, I'm glad she's gone.

I struggled with this but in the end realized that's what makes everything you do important. Not necessarily min/maxing every minute of your life, but just accomplishing one or a few things each day that move you in a direction that matters to you and makes you happy. Also - the idea of enjoying the journey. Always thinking about certain things in the future, positive or negative, can keep you from living right now.

It's really cool to read a bunch of peoples stories and how they relate to your own childhood. It helps you realize how small you actually are, its like you're not really existing, you're reading this from a random guy on youtube. The next day you wake up, you would have completely forgotten about me and this. It's like I don't really know anyone anymore. People evolve and change so rapidly that the people I though I loved just a few years ago are completely different people now, people I don't even want to associate with. Aria math and wet hands give me a different nostalgic vibe.. I started playing minecraft in 2017 when a friend told me. I might not be a very old minecraft veteran/player but I still have a lot of nostalgic experiences playing minecraft, discovering things, and listening to this music. Actually funny thing is I use to get annoyed listening to this music but now I just feel sad... We can't get any younger..

Счастливое было время. Помню, как с друзьями играли в школе в третьем классе прямо на уроках. Помню как отец ради моего счастья пытался взломать третью PS, что бы скачать на неё пиратскую версию, но у него так и не вышло. Помню, как бродил по туториал миру, как записывал видео себе в ВК, просто ставя камеру перед экраном. Помню, как пытался в пиксель-арт, строил метро, познавал сборки модов (до сих пор помню самую любимую - от DragonX!!)
Все эти разрушения, вызванные модами с ядерными ракетами, все эти постройки, сделанные пусть и не по стилю современного строительства, но с душой, с друзьями. Я помню сначала Скайп, потом созвоны в Стиме, а потом и Дискорд. Навсегда запомню свой SMP, который я когда то держал. Игры в сплиф, DayZ-мод, паркуры, карты, сервера. Всех людей, кому я раздавал вещи на спавне, кого я гриферил, с кем я познакомился в этой игре, с кем играл свадьбы, строил базы и с кем добывал ресурсы в автошахтах. Это всё не только часть культуры самой игры - это и часть меня отныне и, надеюсь, навсегда.
Все эти открытия, страхи, туториалы по редстоуну, игры с друзьями, моды - я этого не забуду. И пусть забудутся дни в школе, забудутся весёлые прогулки по летнему городу, всё, что мы называем таким счастливым детством - эту игру я буду помнить всегда. Спасибо этой игре за моё счастливое детство. И не грустите по прошлому, создавайте яркие воспоминания в настоящем! Удачи вам!

Nostalgia... I am playing minecraft from 2014, and watched how my brother plays it from 2012... That was a nice time... I am from russia... I played almoost every day, but now it is not so intereesting. I had grown up... i want to play this game for the first time again, I want to be in that carefree childhood again... When u don't go to school, don't think of all this life problems, and... I could say much here... It is bad that we can't slow time... Those years are irreversibly. it's a pity..... But, whole life is ahead, but i don't think it will be so nice, as childhood..... I want to be a kid again... That NICE time is not subject to representation, it is so good and sweet... Time.......

I can surely say that Minecraft was more than just a game. It shaped many of our childhoods. I am now 21 (about to turn 22) and am entering adulthood. It's so weird how life flies by. All the embarassing moments throughout my childhood now seem so small and distant. But this music brings me back to all the fun times I had with my childhood friends, the memories, the summers, and man oh man do I wish I could go back in time and relive it, but I can't. But I think that's what makes life so beautiful, you can't go back. For anyone who is younger (or older), maybe you are going through some difficult times. Just remember where you came from and how your memories have shaped you into the person you are today. You will get through it. I promise. Thanks for reading.

I'm right there with you too, man. 21, about to turn 22 in a couple weeks. Finishing up with college in the next year or so... Got my first job writing music for video games this year. Honestly, the biggest reason I keep writing music is for that exact reason: music can bring us to better times. It can bring up the bad times, and how far we've come, too. So much has happened in the last 10 years, and a lot of it bad for me, but, like you said: These memories, good and bad... they make us who we are today.

this made me feel a certain sadness i dont think ive felt before and idk how to process it. its not a despair sort of sadness, but i just...miss being a kid. I miss innocence, the ignorance, nothing mattered except coming home from school and booting up the xbox to play minecraft and call of duty with the friends. i used to think "i cant wait to be 18 and do things on my own" yet now i wish i could go back an relive these memories and cherish them because wow, things are so different now it doesnt even feel real that 11 years ago the world seemed perfect.

I grew up playing WildCraft, Roblox, AnimalJam, and so many other games. Recently went back onto those accounts and i honestly can’t remember the day I stopped playing. Yet I remember going back after so long, only to see the friends I had created, to be gone. Lost, and unable to be contacted again.

Time is going by so fast, I hate it and it makes me depressed. It's as if it was just yesterday I was messing around with my mates in Year 8 (second year of high-school) but that was soon 5 years ago and I am now in University. When I click on a video and it says "8 years ago" I expect to be like from 2012, but no, it's from the same 2015 that I mistake as being '4-5 years ago'. All the good things I experienced, whether it be at school, home, watching a movie or show, online on social media, or anything, is all a quickly passing memory that feels like yesterday, but is months and years ago, and I am sure many more great experiences to come that will also become a memory of the past. We should cherish every moment we have, we should never take anything (even something so little) for granted as one day we'll look back and think "that was a good time", "I wish I could experience that again", "I wish I could go back to cherish that moment", etc. I really wish I could go back and restart life from the beginning but with more awareness and knowledge so I could experience things that today I feel left out of or things I didn't get to experience earlier. And this whole feeling of being left out is quite saddening and depressing to be fair, as I constantly just hate myself for it for not being aware, being careless, not knowing and lazy to not experience such earlier, or ever. But hey, that's a lesson learnt to cherish every moment, be aware, be knowing, not lazy, and to be generally grateful for the life that millions of unfortunate could only live in as a dream. There's more to life ahead, we are young, despite time going by so fast, we have so much to live for, so much more to experience and do, so much potential, yet it's true that perhaps it could've been much better, different experiences, different direction of life, different this and that, perhaps there's other universes that took the decisions and did the things we in this universe didn't, born into a different circumstance, etc.But cherish and be grateful that in this universe, you are alive and well with a lot ahead. 🫡

It’s crazy how these songs hit so hard deep in our hearts. Feels like they were made exactly to this: make memories to a whole generation. Oh mate how I wish I could just step in my last day enjoying Minecraft as I used to do. Now it is only a story to tell while the time continues to slip on our fingers.

Life is very mysterious and weird for sure, but also cruel at the same time, as we are cruel to one another; I wish this weren't the case, we are in a massive universe and we're not even 1% of it, so why can't we treat one another better and work together to explore this mysterious universe we are in. I want to know why all the suns orbit blackholes at the center of galaxies, but we simply do not know why, sure gravity, but why is it orchestrated so perfectly that every single galaxy has a blackhole? Why do fractal patterns exist all throughout nature and throughout the universe, life seemed much weirder to me once I tripped on acid and I began to question more things.
It is hard being an adult but I think I will be a gamer for life, with a balance of course, back then I used to game waaaay too much haha.
This just deeply wants to make me cry when I remember my childhood, playing the game with my sister and we are just enjoying our life, with no pressure from the outside world. Memories man.

I tried to play minecraft at 21 but being 11 years old in 2013 was different. I just came home, hopped on, built shit in my bedroom, and went to sleep. Such... such a simpler time.

We was playing in the xbox360 but i have used a compass as phone and i have maked my first openable doors with pistons.. And i remember when i and my cousin have played in maps when it was being done "Ciao Darwin" (Italian program). All my family was in my salon to view it, i have viewed it but in pubblicity i was playing minecraft and i have listened this songs, the most beautifuls songs can comment ur life. If u are a children, then, play this game: "It's never too late to live a part of life". When all this its happened, was the 2013-2015 ( i dont remember). Now sadly, i'm not more a child.

Sad thing about time is that we cant go back in time, it always keeps moving so nostalgia lives in our hearts.
Those soundtracks make me feel like i am back with my old friends. Sitting infront of the Wii-U trying to build our own themepark. One of them trying everything to make it look beautiful and his brother just trolling us all the time. When i think about Minecraft all those memories come up. We told eachother stories how we thought we just saw Herobrine. And those memories are just stuck in my head. I have so clear images of us 3 sitting there. Many see it just as a video game but for me its childhood, friendship memories. Soon ill turn 16. I will graduate from school, get my first job. When i got that childhood nostalgia i learned to appreciate every moment with my friends. Playing Fortnite and just have an amazing time. My old 2 friends moved away but we still are in contact. Mostly talking about our core memories like watching Minecraft vs Real life the 1h version that we never finished. I am just writing a book here but its just what i feel when i listen to it. Sitting there playing my games but still thinking about the memories. The christmas map, the Mario map and that one space map. (I dont remember its name) i am trying to remind myself of those memories as often as i could so i dont forget them. We grew up. And we will keep growing up. So thats all i got to say. Enjoy every funny moment with your friends right now because we never know when they will be our nostalgia point.

2013 was 11 years ago, I’m now 19. It’s crazy how fast the time goes. I deeply miss my childhood, when we’re truly happy. When we came back of school and opened our xbox360/ps3 and go played with our friends. No taxes, no car, no appartement, no responsibilities.

Growing up as a kid, I dreaded having to be an adult, being burdened with responsibilities and all that.
But unexpectedly, my life has become more fun and exciting than it has been in the past. Looking back at my old Minecraft memories has been fun, but I've learned a lot more things since then and it becomes more satisfying to play the game.
A friend of mine at school had introduced this game to me in 2012. Completely changed the trajectory of my life. Minecraft is timeless, love this music and all of the memories of the early 2010's it provides.

I remember some of my friends played this game while i was playing call of duty and telling them im never playing minecraft. I eventually gave in and started playing. Hours and hours of game play i started to love the game. Getting out of school immediately hopping on minecraft with friends on the same world. So many adventures. Some of the best times of my life. I also remember playing so long I'd end up following asleep😂. The music makes me remember those times that are long gone. Definitely miss this but understand nothing last forever. Continue to make new memories dont get lost in the past or you wont enjoy your present. The quality of things are not as good anymore so its up to us to create that nostalgia for the next GEN. 초2때 돌봄교실 끝나면 친구랑 라플하고 놀이공원 게임도 하고 초3때는 방과후 미술 끝나고 액괴 만들고 어떤 날은 책상에 액괴 잔뜩 묻혀서 아빠한테 혼나고 초4때는 학교 끝나면 친구랑 놀이터에서 아이스크림 먹으면서 수다 떨고 학교 운동장에서 정모하고 이런 기억들이 생생하면서 너무 오래되어서 더이상의 내가 아닌 것 같아 그때의 나와 지금의 나는 너무 달라서 마치 그때의 내가 내가 아닌 느낌… 중1부터 코로나 터졌는데 진짜 내 소중한 추억들은 초6에서 멈췄어 진짜 좋은 기억들은 다 초딩때임 코로나 시작하고 나서 코로나 블루 걸려서 집에 틀어박혀 지내다보니 친구 사귀는 법도 까먹어서

I still don't believe the fact that I'm already a legal adult, my grandfather passed away a month ago, he's been there all throughout my childhood, miss you grandpa, the MC soundtrack reminds me of not only the memories I've made with my friends playing this game, but my childhood as a whole and what it feels like to be genuinely happy.

If there's an afterlife I hope it's me living my childhood over again. 2009-2013 was the best time of my life. I really took those days for granted. I couldn't wait to grow up, but now instead of being controlled by my parents I'm controlled by my landlord, boss, and bank.... The stress anxiety and depression is killing me. I just want to go back to playing with my friends on spring break on split screen on the little box TV we had on their Xbox... I would do anything. ANYTHING.
