It really is and it's not the same anymore
One of the things is that you feel trapped. For me anyway, I have always wanted to just play with my freinds, as I still have the chance, but, they just never come on anymore, or never play mc or just don’t want to talk. Most of my newer friends are toxic, are annoying, never reply to my texts, or secretly hate me. You didn’t feel that back then for some reason, it felt more safe. My friendships now are just toxic, or not true. Minecraft is one of those games that was so impactful on a lot of peoples lives. For me, it has been my entire childhood. Dwelling on the past can waste your life. What you have to do is think of now, as you may have not enjoyed that moment as much as you think. But really, you enjoyed them as much as you could. To be honest, content now is, well, different. I don’t have fun at all. It’s just sadness is all I feel and most of all nostaglgia. Well it’s not all bad but still. It comes in waves. ( I am starting to play it a bit more, but after a while. I stop. But I come back. Another thing is, I have almost the exact situation as the guys t the end. My friends are barely online. Or they just don’t talk to me. One of my best friends has not Ben online for like 3 years, as he’s moved on, but then I feel all those memories of the past and it takes over you for a bit. You can wish and wish and wish, but it’ll never work, you will never go back. Not to stampt, or danTDM, or any other OG Minecraft UA-camr. One more thing ( as this is a VERY LONG comment ) Games are more fun when you don’t know what you are doing, in my opinion.

This is the best recreation of the raw nostalgia that this game has. It's a feeling I know I'll never get back, but despite that I spend hours chasing that high I had. I never had a massive friend group, so it was usually just me and one other person, but the game is still my childhood, and I have so many memories of amazing things I did. Most people say that the game has changed too much and that it's not nostalgic anymore, but it's us. We all grew up faster than we wanted. The game is still generally the same, and you can still play old versions like Xbox One Edition. We just didn't expect it to end so soon. We didn't know we were making memories, we were just having fun.

@@CorrosionChannel I replied to this but for some reason it didn't show up. Xua057 is right, unless you owned it digitally before it was removed you can only get it with a disc. Surprisingly, the game still has a playerbase. I've hosted minigame lobbies that get around 10 people in them.

Playing minecraft with my friends was genuinely the best times i’ve ever had playing on a game. Its just not the same anymore, I changed, the game changed, it will never be the same. Well i cant really say we i was born in 2008 so i didnt even know what mc was, but in general as kids we all are more curious and we almost never looked up on a forum or wiki for anything, now i can say for myself at least i go to the games wiki and look up ''best weapon'' anytime i play a new game.

Around 2014-2015 during the summer my father didn’t have much time off from work. But when he did he made sure to take half his day to play Minecraft with me on my playstation.

Time flies by so fast, all those times when I’d play with my friends & siblings were some of the best memories from my childhood. I usually don’t care for “nostalgia” videos like this because they are overdone, but this one just hits different. I’ve had nearly all of the same experiences depicted in this video, and the interactions were all so heartwarming. It actually almost made me cry haha

I was introduced to Minecraft by a friend when it was still new. We had so much fun playing the game. I remember him being a lot better than me and always showing me stuff in the game I'd never seen before. He died only a few years later in 2018 and I will never stop missing him. I still play Minecraft and I always wonder what it would be like if he was still here. I'd probably still be playing with him. 😭

Brought real tears to my eyes. Crazy that you never realize how impactful those times in your life are until you can look back and reflect.
This made me cry. I remember making little shops selling golden apples for 5 emeralds. Walking with the dogs. Building random things. It was really amazing. I wish I could experience fun times like that again. That world is gone now. I would do ANYTHING. To experience something like that again. Finding diamonds. Building things I was proud of. Role playing shops. I want to be in those times where the simple things. Were the fun things.

I never had friends in my country to play with and i was playing minecraft alone, then i started playing minecraft with some russians and then i forgot them and after finishing school i saw some people who play games too and they played minecraft too.

Ive played minecraft for 8 years. When you play for at least 6 years, thats when this kicks in.
8-year-old me tried the exact same thing with Stampy's rocket and was wondering why it didn't launch haha. This video perfectly encapsulates my experience with Minecraft when I was younger.
The part at the end actually gave me chills - the transition from past to present; the "last online 10 years ago"; the tear rolling down his cheek; the syncing with the climax of the song. It perfectly reflects my struggle with moving on from childhood - a part of me simply does not want to let it go. Thank you for making this. It really is beautiful.

The way how he progressed the game all in just 2 mins was so nostalgic this was every kid's childhood. The fact that his friends were hadn't been on for 10 years made me gasp and I just stared there for 5 secs.

This video couldn’t be more accurate. I personally never got into the Herobrine stuff, but everything else is spot on. I’ve been realizing lately that playing Minecraft with my cousins doesn’t feel the same. Don’t get me wrong, we’re all little kids trapped in teenagers bodies, but the builds are getting more complex. I’m doing heavy work with forbidden blocks and stuff- and yes those rides and builds are so cool when they come together, but it doesn’t feel the same as just building with raw, crappy materials that the game only had. I even tried using the classic texture pack, and yes that was funny. Nothing seemed to work. The experiences weren’t bad, but they weren’t the same. There was a little bit of a period when that changed, which was when we all connected to the world with the smallest of the cousins and taught her how to play. A few years later and “Minecraft” is her favorite word on Earth. But then it went back to being a contest with yourself to be better and better at building, which was just nonexistent as a kid. But then I played Survival recently. If you want that nostalgia, that’s how to get it. Turn on that classic texture pack and just have fun. The process of Survival mode hasn’t changed. Get wood, get stone, cook food, you know the drill. You still goof around, some idiot falls off a cliff and loses there stuff, or maybe you push your wolf off by accident. You see aqua in a cave and your eyes still light up. It’s the same. If anything, the new editions work to give you more of that childish wonder and curiosity. We haven’t played survival on 1.20 yet, but that’s something for summer vacation. I can’t wait.

My friend died in 2014, we were 16 years old at the time, the day before his death we were playing Minecraft on the xbox 360. It was a good time, I miss him, I am very aware that on that cancerous evening I could have died too. But I stayed at home and played Minecraft.

The ending made me realize Minecraft isn't just a game its a place where friends can hang out have fun and smile and when you lose them it just hits hard man it hits hard

The first tutorial world is the best one ever made omg I miss this so much man I wish I could play this world again and go back to this old version of minecraft this is where it all started to greatness

I quit Minecraft for 9 months now because it just didn't feel the same like it used to but watching this video brought all the memories back to me. No matter how much the game, community and just basically everything changes Minecraft will always hold a special place in my heart.
Even though that feeling never lasted I'm just glad it happened
I lost all passion for gaming after I started getting bored of minecraft. This was about two years ago. Every game I feel now makes me miss the "good old days" more and more.
I'm not patient anymore. I don't like exploring a 3 hour dungeon just to get to that sweet loot. I don't like spending hours grinding for gear. I don't like playing a game just to play it.
Now I live fast-paced I play fast-paced everything is boring super fast I close games faster than I load into them... It's just not like it used to be anymore. It's not fun anymore. It feels like a chore. A really long, never ending chore of finding the right game to play that will make you feel like that first time you put the halo 1 DVD in your xbox. It'll never be the same anymore.

I quit a year ago because no one else was playing so for a round 2 years I was playing alone. Yesterday, I logged on and it said on hypixel, Last online 3 years ago and just made me so sad that once we enjoyed playing and now it is left alone

Minecraft at 2013 was always a good experience, it reminds you of the world, how it looked and much more. Playing minecraft is a once in a lifetime experience, you get to make memories along the way, with friends, family and relatives.

Since i started playing minecraft with my 3 friends, who named umut is died due to cancer. While we are playing a minigame, he left and never came back. And my friend named ömer cried after that happened, also i did too. Minecraft is a game, which makes you have nostalgia while you play it, do not forget to turn on the music.

This game is extrenely nostalgic for me, especially because nostalgia for me is some sort of a recap of the evolution throughout the years. The fact that at the beginning I was just experimenting things in creative mode and that now I'm a commandblock expert, making cool minecraft maps for a popular youtuber in my country makes me extremely nostalgic.

I also remember my next door neighbor coming over everyday to play minecraft with me, i remember we did build battles, fights, hide and seek etc. thank you for making this video it truly reminds me of the best era of my life :))
I started my journey on this the ps3 with me and my bros on the ps3. At the time we didn't know how to update the game so we had old updates. I will never forget that feeling😭😢😭😢😭

I was a solo player back then because I didn't have much friends that were on xbox so I spent all my childhood on Minecraft mainly alone other than the occasional randoms I became friends with very fast, played for few years mainly in the golden age of tutorial worlds, and years later I'm in 2 nd year of collage and got one mate to play Minecraft but all the rest I have lost, due to the red ring of death I'll never remember their name or most likely know that I'll never see them again
What hits this deeper for me is that I started in 2013 with the XBOX360 and had played the original tutorial world. It’s weird seeing all the stuff that has been added, and of course, the big transformation to Bedrock.
Whether I encountered the good or bad, they were all memories for me.
