I love watching Spielberg direct kids. He understands that they are intuitive and wise.
He's magical..saddens me that one day he won't be here..He's the last of the Super Legend.i love him
It is amazing how Spielberg could create such a masterpiece. I don't think anyone else could ever or will ever make another ET. Perfection.
This classic film has stood the test of time and will continue to do so for the next centuries to come.
This footage is gold. True cinema history. Thanks for sharing!
I love how Spielberg understands children. Because he was one far before.
This movie is gonna be a remarkable 40 years old next year.
This is in my top five favorite movies of all time. The story, the acting, the Aesthetic of the film, the characters I just love it. I watch it every Halloween and at least twice a year.
This movie changed my life no one on earth or space could have played the role better than henry
2022. The 40th anniversary of E.T. Please do a Special Blu Ray with the 1982 theatrical release and the 20th anniversary edition with all the goods from the 1996 special edition Laserdisc
I’m with you on this! One of the best movies ever made, and one of my faves 🥰. Did you see the ad they did?
I'm just home from watching this in the cinema with my Mum and daughter. My Mum brought me to the cinema to watch it when it came out. So special to watch it 40 years later with her. It was just as magical and emotional
They worked so fantastic, making a final scene!
I think we all wish to have Spielberg as a father.
I'm proud to say I was born in 1982 when this movie was release, I'm gonna share the same 40th birthday year. I think ET has aged better than me though....
Awesome. E.T. and Elliott's goodbye
Finally, at 2:20 I saw what his cap said: USC Cinema.
This part has left me in tears ever since I saw in when I was 7 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Damnit when are we gonna get Steven to direct another Universal Pictures film? It’s been sooooooo long
Later this year actually. Comes out in November
@@dylanmoore7902 I heard about it. And apparently he’s got a different team working with him. No Kathleen Kennedy, no Frank Marshall, not even Michael Kahn. I’m excited to see it, but I have a feeling Spielberg is thinking about retirement.
The Fablemans I'm ready
These gold pure

Steven spealberg is Arizona robins stepdad if you get it you get it and if you don’t then you don’t ❤😅
Stuff like this is just a grim reminder that real craftsmanship in movie making is dead.
This story is stolen from Satyajit Ray . (Indian Oscar winner director)
Steven Spielberg has indeed stated that E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial was inspired in part by his own parents’ divorce. He used the story of E.T. to explore themes of family, responsibility, and filling a void in one’s heart.
As for the claim that E.T. was stolen from Satyajit Ray’s work, it’s a complex issue. The script for Ray’s film, “The Alien”, did circulate in Hollywood, and there are similarities between it and E.T. However, Spielberg has denied these allegations, stating he was a high school student when “The Alien” script was being shared.
While it’s clear that both works share thematic elements, proving direct plagiarism can be challenging. It’s also worth noting that storytelling often involves building upon existing ideas and themes. Without concrete evidence, it’s difficult to definitively say whether E.T. was “stolen” from Ray’s work. Also, inspiration is not the same thing as stealing.
I bet that was not the only time he had his hands on his shoulders.
What's wrong with hands on the shoulders???
Grow up he has 7kids of his own
Anyone else catch Spielberg's Freemason gesture..?
Probably not.
thats the best thing ive ever see
when there is no way out and every focus a gun on you
