The woman impaled through the face with a pitchfork is a small detail that really sets the tone for the upcoming big village fight. "This is what they'll do to theor own people. You think they're gonna show YOU any mercy?!"
I know...I could never get over the that poor women when I was younger. The stalker, into the women, and then the stake...Very disturbing stuff, all within minutes of each other. Not to mention Dr Salvador lmao
I think the women rejected the last plagas so they got to her before she escaped. Chief Mendez even warned Leon that “he carried the same blood as us” and he let him live and walked away from him even though he is an outsider like he mentioned. So anyone that has las plagas inside there bodies get to live unlike the pile of bodies near the farm also probably rejected it as well.
Leon even says there’s no sex discrimination. The thing was is that the villagers that were infected went after that woman because she wasn’t infected and she try to escape, but they got her and murdered her by stabbing her in the face with the pitchfork that’s why Leon said he better find Ashley fast before they kill her without mercy
Saddler seemed to care a good amount about Mendez (and Salazar), enough to mourn the loss of them in a letter on the island. I can't imagine he would want one of his top men to live in poverty.
100%, and the fact that Mendez obviously cares a lot about the other villagers was really eye opening when first reading his letters. They're very broken people, yet their souls are still there. They care about people
@@pandadares8905They also make this sentiment of him being caring and charismatic more notable in the Remake sounding like an actual preacher/minister/priest instead of an overly big and almost crazed brute who happens to be dressed like that. I didn't realize he was actually that until reading the notes in original game. And, to be honest, the way he sounds so sincere and calm about what he is saying is a bit more unnerving mentally equating "God" to the Los Plagas in the Remake. Plus, it makes more sense that he injected Leon (and possibly Ashley) with the parasite after knocking him out versus the original cutscene, which felt like it was supposed to be a nightmare only to visually imply he was brought to the Island facility and brought back to the village to be tied up with Luis. It seemed very convoluted in the original and always confused me. Lastly, a single note in the Remake confirms how inhumane and evil Salazar was as a child.
🎃Happy Halloween to all 🎃. Hope you're all doing well... I was a little sick while narrating this video, so my voice may sound more dead than usual lmao. I just wanted to get this one done by the 31st 👻
I was wondering do you think that the villagers were originally going to be zombies before capcom decided to make them parasite villagers because if anyone took notice they all started moaning like zombies and dropped their weapons on the ground before they started walking towards where the bell was ringing at and when Leon made a joke and said about them going to bingo
Regarding the Truck mystery, it could be possible for the truck to drive through the canyon where Leon fights the El Gigante. Because then it'll have a straight shot at driving over the bridge leading to the Cabin house, past the Farm, and directly into the Village square. Maybe that was the route they took when transporting goods from the Village to the Castle? I've always wondered that myself too!
Most likely yes, there seems to be an intersection right outside the gate, the road going through the middle (where the logs are) and the road leading down towards El Gigante’s arena. They definitely built over those roads as time passed, and exportation of wood became obsolete.
the one part that jolted me the very first time i played this is the tank in the back of the farm. upon inspection, leon says: "i can't believe this... these are all dead bodies." leon had no idea what was going on, though he knew he was going up against ruthless virulency.
@pandadares8905 I honestly thought about the orgin and previous function of the puzzles. I would have no clue how to make a semblance of sense of them, but I am sure you'd figure it out lol
I always assumed the pitchfork lady was someone who tried going against the cult and was killed for it. Maybe it was for turning down the plaga, or maybe it was for objecting to Ashley's kidnapping. Regardless, it's clear someone was absolutely pissed at her.
Don't get me wrong, I watched and found all of your videos very intresting, however the mysteries you cover seem to be things the developers put into the game to shock or scare us without any second thought. Keep doing you though, these videos are very thoughtful. I think the remake would hold some secrets that have actual meaning.
Well, everything can be described as such, I look past developer consistency when making these videos simply for the mood and nostalgic value of the original game. I actually don't really care for the subject matter. There's never any real meaning...In anything. I make up my own meaning, and many of my videos are supposed to be ironic and sarcastic on top of this. I much prefer creative speculation / Fiction. Over uncovering easter eggs and things like this. "Watsonian VS Doylist". Means In-universe answer VS Real life answer. Aka, re4's world vs "It's just a game, who cares" | "This is a baseless and doesn't have any depth" | "The developers didn't intend this" yes, I'm 100% aware 😂. It's like if I were to write a book about a subject, a fictional story, using real life events as reference. And someone asks me to cover the actual event. Hard to explain in this case, but it's like comparing my videos to UA-camrs who make things like "What happens if you Blank* in Blank* part of the game" With that being said, it's a thin line with videogames, and I'm not against making videos on more concrete ideas. I just LOVE the story telling element to these. I have creative freedom, I can make up scenarios for fun (Whether or not they hold any "purpose" whatsoever lmao). But I get your point mate.🙏 Thanks for watching anyway, and take care.
@pandadares8905 The crazy thing is that your theories seems to work pretty well, that's why I didn't get the irony, only when you make obvious jokes (mostly about the dog) lol. I love how well and with how much detail you argue your points, especially in your earlier videos I noticed that some people go very far in the Silent Hill community with their theories and it annoyed me for quite a while, they don't really seem to do it ironically though. Some think that every little thing, especially in SH2 is some mastermind kinda sh!t
@ Lmao, I love SH2, but the things people come up with are crazy 😂. Not in a creative way either, they draw parallel’s between things that are objectively redundant, and they’ll use it argue that SH2 is the best game ever made because of these things lmao. If you look hard enough into anything, you’ll eventually come up with some schizophrenic garbage 😂
I have a video idea that I’ll probably make next, bare with me here 😭. “Who lights the torches after Leon faints at the lake”. So obviously there’s not supposed to be an actual reason whatsoever, there’s no secret cutscene of Ada running around lighting all of these torches for Leon, and the devs didn’t consider a reason at any point, at least I think not 😂. However, there had to be a plausible “Watsonian” answer. (An in universe answer) You definitely know this already since you’re smart. When a mystery has enough substance, whether or not it could ever be “answered” it’s really funny to strategise with s*** like this. It just can’t be boring or abstract to the extent where it’s barely even a mystery at all (most SH2 mysteries). Sorry for the rants also 😭
@@pandadares8905 No problem with your rants at all, I am also fed up with the Silent Hill crowd and had to get this off my chest, glad we agree Btw. it's kinda the opposite of what I thought before our little correspondence, so you're right, you can make up theories more freely when the developers just put things there for the sake of it. Can't wait till your next video drops, especially now that I understand your thought process a little better.
one thing ive always wondered is where are all the houses? we see only a handful of houses in the game yet we kill HUNDREDS of villagers. is there somewhere in the village we never got to see where most of the houses are, or is the village just that big that they are spread out across the whole village and all we saw were the ones along leon's path?
Well yeah the village is obviously supposed to be really huge but it's a video game so you can't fill more stuff in so you just gotta use your imagination. Pretend all the areas are x10 bigger than they really are. Games are limited by data unfortunately.
Seeing you go out of bounds makes me wonder why I haven’t done that yet, I want to go out of bounds on every level to see if there’s a hidden monster or something that’s not supposed to be in the game
Great idea mate, there’s parts of the game that go on for MILES on end. I doubt anyone has explored past a certain point…It wasn’t until recently that the waving man was discovered. I believe that was 2019 or 2020
Interesting topic for another video could be island ganados themselves, we never get any explanation about who they were and where they came from. We also never see them worship plagas...
I have a question. The ganado in the bathroom at the manor house that you walk in on taking a piss, who is he and why is he there? Its not his manor. That manor belongs to Mendez. I guess hes just a regular villager, but what was he doing in the manor in the first place? Maybe he was going to have a meeting with Mendez on what to do with Ashley, and was early to the manor so he decided to take a leak while he was waiting, but uh oh, an unexpected visitor shows up(at least for this ganado in the bathroom) named Leon. Mendez knows leon is coming. You encounter him 2 times in this manor. Either Mendez was hiding from that bathroom ganado cause he knew Leon was coming, or Mendez came right after Leon showed up, heard him upstairs and went to go tell him that he "carries the same blood as us it seems.." to his face. Mystery solved! 😂 Lol nah but seriously though, why was that ganado taking a piss in there? We dont see any other ganados do that. I refuse to believe there's no backstory to this dude. 😅 I love all your RE4 content. Thanks so much. ✌️🤝✨️
