It makes the most sense I believe. Explains the mine carts and tracks. And the Ganados at the castle courtyard…Clearly they aren’t allowed inside the castle, but they hang out there at lunch. And head back up the village exit at the end of their shifts
@pandadares8905 That's true. I like the idea of this path being used for more than just a last defense as opposed to having simply being repurposed into one. This area isn't that far off from Salazar's castle, so it does check out. Heck, even The Merchant could be using these same passageways to stay a step ahead of Leon.
5:42 As theory, i guess that this is some secret pathway, from the Mendez's house, to this place. Because this could explain how Ada was moved from Mendez's house to the Altar of sacrifices in the other side of the village, as the farm's pathway looks like too much complicated to be carrying a person, particulary by all those ladders required to reaches the giant door. Implying that the ganados used a different pathway to carries Ada, possibly some secret path, that leads to this mysterious and unnaccessible path in the Bella Sisters's field. At least as theory.

The video greatly pleased me, and I went on to watch all of the theory videos you made during a light workout routine. And as I said before, I greatly enjoyed it. Especially stuff based around the village because the original re4 has just the right level of detail in that area to make sense at a glance, but enough lack of filled in space to let the mind wander, a lot. And your videos, to me, scratch the itch that I've often had where I want to look at the smallest of details in games and try to think of them in depth and try to reason why they are in the world and how they got that way. An example of that is actually your video on who lit the torches and how I had always assumed that, oh well the villagers did it! But you pointed out how it wouldn't make any sense for the villagers to leave Leon alone while unconscious in the cabin. And I'm really excited! I say keep it a surprise since it'll be a wondrous experience to see it all on its own

Maybe the regenerator didn't break out, maybe it was what broke in. Perhaps there was something in there it wanted, food, a person, etc. And once it had it, it just sort of milled around, not having motivation to move on.
Great theory, I can't imagine someone being unable to escape that cell, while a Regenerador slowly tears apart the bars to get inside...Terrifying Stuff
Saw an RE4 mod called Rising of Evil that lets u explore areas like that secret passage. It teleports you to those platforms by the tram where the ganados try to jump on ur tram to make u fall to your death.
If I may expand upon the lone Regenerator in the trashed prison cell, Ada goes through this area in Separate Ways and can examine this Regenerator lying dormant, commenting on its disturbing appearance. In the next area, Ada's boss fight with Krauser occurs, with Leon being heard battling through the War Room from below, implying that he's already passed through the prison, as well. Does Leon choose not to interact with it and just run past, or does Leon kill this Regenerator and another one is placed back inside as a warning of sorts?
If I were to speed run any game it would be RE4. I’m not good enough on PC yet but I’m getting there lol. Would love to see you try speed runs of it. Maybe stream it one Saturday as a one off? I know the speed running community is massive for this game
@@pandadares8905 yep I’ll be doing a speedrun of resi4 original on stream on one of the weekends. I’m just waiting for Kryptic to finish resi 4 so it’s not a spoiler for him. I’m going to run through the game in a normal path, but as fast as possible with the Chicago typewriter, rocket launcher and that laser thing that one shots all bosses in a flash. I did this when I was younger and my record was under 3 hours. I’ll try and set a record for you and Kryptic to beat, it will be fun :)
For some reason the bella sister area always felt off too me. Maybe its cause I almost always take the el gigante path but on the rare occasion I go the bella route the area after you kill the bella sisters fells a little different too the rest if the game. Like its a cut area you weren't supposed to find. That blocked off path just makes the area fell that much more mysterious to me
Same here, I barely go that route ever. But I still like to experience it every so often. Just has a strange air to it, disconnected from the rest of the village, as if it was never supposed to exist and the El Gigante route was always the “Real One”. I know what you mean
Definitely a room they had to place “somewhere” I’m pretty sure the regenerator near the end is the same story. They had an extra room they created that didn’t fit anywhere else so they put it there.

Another potential mystery that I happened to think of yesterday involves that drilling machine in the castle manned by two black-robed Zealots, targeting Ashley in a narrow hallway. Did this machine have a purpose other than being a surprise death trap? Could it have been used to tunnel through the underground areas where Las Plagas was discovered?

I’m going to be revisiting my 18 year old save files. Going from my most recent PS5 play throughs, all the way back to the PS2 in 2006 (ish). You’ll like this idea as well, I’m going to start work on it soon, you know how in the Mercenaries score screen, how the characters are in weird locations? Leon’s in a subway of all places…He even has his jacket…He must of taken this subway on his journey to Spain. Really interesting stuff. Overall I want to try and uncover more about these, to see if they’re more relevant than they initially seem
