I created a tool with a small bolt with a 14mm head and two nuts locked together to loosen the fill bolt. Also ista does have a service function to reset TC clutch adaptations.
The newtis service info states that a software program (ISTA) needs to be used to open the valves inside the transfer case to drain all the fluid properly. Maybe it's not needed?
If u remove a little bit but not everything and replace with the exact quantity, then doing this 2-3 times, who care about their bs program. valves will open and mix with old fluid, 2-3 times later it’s all good… no brainer ..
I've seen a 2 inch hex bit like that. Is that short enough to fit? Also any system resets you have to do after?
Not sure, but even if it don’t, you can cut it with a grinder

I don’t know, I need to look into it. I did change without any ISTA work.
