You have taught me so much about fitting pants. And I understand the concept of tdbo but sometimes I forget how it is supposed to look next to all of the ways it should not work. I started drafting my pants from the begining using an alternative drafting method from the srandard figure. But after 3 trial pairs of shorts and one half trial, I still feel like its not right. That I'm over thinking and adjusting too much. I know my front cratch is really short and my back is long. I can get the back to look fabulous... but i just cant get the front. 😞
One of the most common things that happens when you're fitting TDCO style is that you can get the back crotch in the right spot... but the front crotch ends up being too low... and you can't pull it up because it messes up the drape of the back leg (as I describe here).. If that's your issue, here's a tutorial showing how to raise the front crotch with out pulling up the rest of the pants with it. ua-cam.com/video/0rREFdVB5-E/v-deo.html
@JSternDesigns so how would you just raise the front crotch? I like the method where you didn't lower the waist, just shorten the crotch. By the way... you are a genius! I have learned sooooo much from your videos. I am so close to getting a master pattern fitted correctly I just need the front crotch curve higher and the the waist stay the same.
Hey J! Where did you find my Body Double from 40 years ago? Something happened last week that I have never had happen in 60 years of wearing Pants. The crotch on my Silky PJ Bottom came apart. I loved the font crotch depth, but the back was really baggy. What can I say? 'They are comfortable but won't attract anything but a long Boo! I'm thinking that only a curved waistband will do the trick, for me. You are an excellent Driving Instructor J!
Make Pants!! If you wear your incontinent underwear while fitting your pants, you will be making the room for them while fitting the pattern. This is the same thing as wearing the bra you wear most when fitting a top. Thanks for watching
I've said it so many times before, but I will say it again.......Jen, you are a genius. I love how your mind works. 😊
Thank you so much! and thanks for fitting along with me

I am in a quandary wanting to make a pants pattern, but needing it to fit over incontinent underwear. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
