A must have tool them rubber mallets! My shot filled rubber mallet is in my toolbox at the back of the garage so went for old faithful 😂 I’m guessing DHL have visited by now and you’ve got the tacho unpacked and ready to fit. I’m as excited as you are, let us now how the install goes 🔧🛠️🪛👍🏻😁
Evening Dave, tacho fitted. Followed your advice and lifted the tank slightly. No big hammers needed and no swearing, even though it was a bit tricky. Rain started just as I completed the mission but hoping for a test run tomorrow@@MerciaMoto
Hi Dave. No expletives or bloody knuckles. A sweet install . I was shouting at the screen put a spanner on that 17mm nut and torque it up from the 13mm bolt side.. :)) . this made me check my camping kit, and yup as suspected I did not have my SPANNER OF LAST RESORT ( OMMER ) packed . quick trip to Halfords for a small nylon mallet. All sorted. The steed is looking sweet Dave. All the mods are well researched so as not to detract from the character of the bike.. BEAUT EEEEE FULLL > 🤓💯❤🩹🙏🤳
Thanks Dave, well spotted on tightening the engine mounting bolt. The guard bar are slightly angles which means you can’t get the socket on to the nut, especially my chunky socket. Where would we be without a nice big micro adjusting ommer or better still a big chunky mallet! 😂😂👍🏻
That red and white 411 is definitely a nice looking bike. Do you find yourself torn between taking the Hunter or the 411 or do they clearly fill different roles. The 411 keeps catching my attention but can't really justify it. Do I need to. 😂
@@timsatchell6713 No, Tim. Two are quite enough for me, also. It would be an interesting comparison between the Scram and the Hunter though. Over to you, Dave 😂😂
Evening Tim, yeah Peter has kindly answered, the Scram will be off to spend the summer by the seaside in Gods country as I’m over there at least once every couple of weeks so we will be exploring Wales together. It’s a lot of fun and ideal for our badly maintained roads. You know the answer to the can you justify the 411, of course you can 😂😂😂🙂👍🏻

Getting mine done next week. Dealer said would do for free and the handguards. £200 so thought why not! (Went with the givis). Was umming and ahhing a bit whether I needed but think wise!
Great stuff, I think engine guards are great investment, I’d rather replace them than replacing engine parts if the bike goes over. Hope you’re well mate 👍🏻🙂
@@MerciaMoto thanks, just wanted to know is there any drawbacks from removing the bar end weight, did you notice any difference, been reluctant before with hanguards👍
@@MerciaMoto Be interested to see if this one does better than the mirrors fitting one. Fitting the tacho was something everyone was keen to see so perhaps if you do one eventually for the Scram it too will do well.
@@Lanes-Explorer5733 bottom of the league on all 3 metrics this one Peter, I wasn’t expecting it to be a popular video. Scram mirrors video didn’t do well either, under performed on all 3 metrics. I have a feeling the popularity of Himalayan’s and Scrams has waned with the impending arrival of the new model 🤔
Top job, got to love a big rubber mallet👍 I'm like a coiled spring as DHL are due any minute with my tacho kit, toolkit at the ready and let me at it🔧

Hello Tim. Dave has solved the dilemma by having both, on in England and one in Wales 😂
I had the same line of thinking Scram or Hunter, went for the Scram as better for our crap UK roads and you can do more with it.
@@Lanes-Explorer5733 really can't justify a Meteor, Hunter and Scram

Nice easy one to follow. Oh where did you get your headlight guard from?

Hi,
Don’t suppose you have a link or point me in the right direction for the headlight protector, looks great👍
