This was the last album of the band that I could find in my country (Argentina). We are lucky to have internet to find and hear the music of a band that was so important when we were teenagers, not only that the radios want us to hear. Thanks for creating this channel.

This is easily my favorite Fastball song, and I could listen to it thousands of times in a row lol. But also, jeez that Asian girl in the video is such a dreamboat, holy cow. Women like her are what makes life worth living. :)

I was in the grocery store last night when this song came on.

It's a TRAVESTY this song peaked at 100 in 2000, I know Fast Ball had some other good songs too.

this is a great song that came out during the reign of numetal.. so it was ignored.. sad.
Nah it wasn't cause numetal it was cause there were literally thousands of other bands coming out that yr
1998 til 2003 or 4 is the height of numetal. Korn, Limp Bizkit, Staind, System of a down....etc Yes, there were a lot of new bands most of them were punk pop or numetal. And although some people could listen to fastball and that, the majority didn't want to hear fastball. they wanted stuff like that. When "the way" came out a few years earlier, alternative bands like them were popular. by the time this album came out, the music scene had changed and they were no longer relevant to the mainstream. They have put out many songs on their recent albums that are as good or better than "the way" which is their biggest hit to no avail. they are no longer the flavor of the week.
this reminds me of my old room when I was 14 and I stumbled upon this album from my brother and this song stucked in my head for several days now. I’m happy to have found it again.

This was Fastball's best song and it went from good to GREAT when they added Billy Preston on that old west sound on that piano ... what they heck did they do to get this sound? Tacks on the hammers? Out of tune? Computer sim? Whatever it is it's awesome! It's the fire in the bottle that helps ignite this fast-moving love tribute song ... one of the best of its day. I only wish they could have added a piano player in the video ... OK I see he's off to the right side in a couple shots. Back in the day, I worked hard on many of the licks player here and they are NOT easy ... like 4 flats key of A flat if I remember right. Anyhow ... nice trip down memory lane.
Doesn’t sound like tacks to me. I think it’s just a Honky tonk/really bright piano fed through some serious eq setting changes or like a leslie effect. Billy preston loved those chorus and leslie type effects so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was

Unpopular opinion, but I didn’t like this song. Don’t get me wrong, I love Fastball. I saw them in concert 4 times at their peak. I think releasing this as a single was a real misstep. I can get why they did, though, it’s reminiscent of The Way, but it lacks charm and depth. I think Dark Street would have made a much better single.
The song is good. But I can’t stop thinking about how this could have been in toy story
