Dear Marion…recently my 24 year old granddaughter found a crewel work project that I had made over 50 years ago. She fell in love with it even with the popular yellow, orange, brown & green colors of the 1970’s. She asked if she could have it to frame for her apartment! So that’s where it will hang. She will be getting married next year and with your excellent teachings, I will make her a “current” one in the colors of her wedding bouquet and use many of the gorgeous Marion taught stitches. I wanted you to know how your generosity in sharing your beautiful talents brings joy in so many ways to so many people! Thank you so much! And I enjoyed seeing your sweet kitty!

Thank you for your message 😊
It just goes to prove how fashions change and come back round to a new generation.. I know exactly the sort of colours you mean! A few years ago that style would be considered dated... Now it's vintage 😅 and being rediscovered by the generation that didn't live through it...
      What goes around, comes around...

That's brilliant Pam. I'm so pleased. Sometimes old ways can be improved upon. I don't always lay in a framework myself anymore, but it's definitely the easiest way of learning how to lay down the stitches where you want them☺️

Hi Marion, it truly is lovely to spend time with you, watching you stitch & seeing your page coming to fruition xx Just gorgeous, the colours of yarn are so nice xxx Happy you were able to get out in your lovely garden. We're still having very gusty, cold days here in OZ, lovely & sunny, but not pleasant to sit be sitting in 😣😣 I too am trying to cull my stash of knitting yarns, crocheting a blanket, just the one where you go round & round, I had just finished 2 rows of green, tied it off & realised I had only done 3 stitches instead of 6 in one corner,so had to pull it out & do it again !! But thanx to you & all the other talented you tubers I watch, who have taught me patience, I didn't chuck it aside like I once would have done, but kept watching you & sorted it out 🤗🤗🤗🤗 Thanx to all xx Enjoy the sun & your lovely garden 😘😘😘😘😘

I'm proud of you for that Pauline! You'll be pleased that you fixed it and carried on when you get to the finish 😊🧶
I'm trying to think of projects that will use up yarn quickly, but that I can either use or gift...
I still have wool from the first proper cardigan I knit and that's a very long time ago! The time has come to use it or lose it from the stash...😅

Good morning Marion from NZ, I have been following you on this one of my favourites needle work. I did a Crewel embroidered cushion and wall hanging long time ago and loved it so much. It is an absolutely beautiful art of needle work one can ever enjoy doing. I would encourage young teenagers/ladies to take up the skills Mrs Marion has put up on many of her excellent videos. Marion, you teach from your heart and I personally appreciate your sincerity in a way teaching, sharing it with so many out there. Thank you Marion and blessings as always, Thelma ❤❤

I've said it befor x I'll say it again Marion. I absolutely love watching your vidios, such lovely work x you inspired me so much into relearning again all that my Nana x Mum started teaching me when i was 4 x half but i had my first daughter when i was just 17yrs old x had my second at 19 x my family just grew x kept me very busy over the yrs so with my home x taking care of my kids x a sick husband whos now passed away, i let my embroidery go but i started watching you about 2 to 3 mths ago x im now 63yrs old but you inspired me to take it up again but id forgotten such a lot x you really do have such talent with your beuatiful work x especialy the easy way you patiently explain everything to us is so briliant x now i am relearning from you all the stitchs i was taught so long ago x a lot more too, every time i watch you x ive been able to do that only because of the way you teach us. No one else I've watched has that special talent for teaching that you do x so now im doing journal covers x crazy quilts x cushion covers x some nice framed peices x lots more x I'm doing an embroidery stitch book wich is coming along really nicely now but i wouldnt be doing any of it at all without you, finding you was for me like finding a treasurey of inspiration. I am incorporating what you've taught me into making a some xmas gifts this yr for my family. It took me so many yrs to get back to my embroidery but now i have my family to shair it with x give gifts ive embroidered to cos im a mum of 3 x grandmother of 7 x a great grandmother of 2 x a 3rd on the way now plus freinds of course so heaps of people to make gifts for x i expect they will get tired of my gifts after a while cos im disabled x spend nearly all of my days crafting so many things cos i have done a lot of diferent crafts over the yrs so i always stay really busy but now im going a little crazy with it x have done so much x have plans for lots more too but I couldnt have done that if not for you so thanku so very much Marion for all you are reteaching me x the new stitchs x combinations of stitchs that you have taught me cos you have such a brilliant way of teaching x you make everything seem so much simpler x I've not found anyone else that has been able to teach me as brilliantly x as quickly as you do so Godbless you x thanku from your inspired pupil in Australia...

What a lovely message to read Linda 💐💐💐 I'm so happy to hear you're re inspired with your stitching and crafting. It sounds as if your needle and thread are going full pelt on making lots of things!
I know exactly what that's like... Being in that creative frame of mind where you seem to think of more things to do all the time.
It's amazing you're younger than me and already a Great Grandma! My children have yet to have children themselves even though they're both in their 30's .
I'm sure they're all going to appreciate the time and love that have gone into making their handmade gifts. In these busy days Time is indeed a precious gift in itself.
Thank you Linda. I'm so pleased you've found me easy to listen to. I love sharing what I'm making and showing that it's not as difficult as people think...☺️💐💐💐

I am so happy to watch an expert like youeself work these bullion knots so much. They are the only stitch across the 100+ ive done since beginning embroidery about 2 years ago that have ever made me cry. No UA-cam tutorial or written tutorial was good enough! Hello Marion. I am amazed at how your piece of crewel work is developing. Each week it just gets more and more beautiful. I can only wonder what you will create with your next project when you have set your bar so high. Have a great week.

Crumbs... I've already decided on the next two pages. Plus I've been debating which types of embroidery I can introduce before someone says it's too difficult!
I've tried to be incremental. No point in staying with the simple stuff😂🧵🪡

Thank you Marion for your video . As always excellent teaching. I think my computer has finally bit the dust so no printing at the moment. 🙄 I have gone through my crewel book and taken a pattern from there to practice with before I start the kit. Thanks to your tutorials I am feeling more positive about it. Gosh three days of sun here in the UK, can we stand it ?😂

Amazing new stitching. I still have problems with bullion knots. I.dont haveva millners needle but saw you using a crewel one. And i did not notice a bump. Will look andvsee what i have in my crewel ones. My problem might be thread maybe as well as needle. Perhaps your light threat makes a difference 🤔 i will try again or will have to come up with another stitch meantime. I saw the weaving and 🙈 it gives me trouble. It comes out at the end butnits stressful til i am done! Just keep practicing right? Love all the colors you are introducing! Its gonna look amazing! Thank you for being patient and taking time to go over things, explain and give tips! I am still planning on meeti g you in person. Think we are moving to Spain early next year so once settled there i will plan a trip. 🙏 stay safe!

Where do you live now Elaine?
I'd use any needle my thread would go through. You just have to make sure you don't hold the wraps too tightly. You should be able to feel it under your fingers as you pull the thread through..

@marionsworld24 right now we came back to the US after living 14 years in Panama. We do like to travel and we never see our children and grandkids so why stay here. Best we go travel and have better quality of life. So once we get there and are settled I will definitely plan to go to the UK. Orher than Southampton for our Cruise last July it's been a long time and we have family there. But I'm determined to meet you in person! You are one amazing woman! My hero!

I am. The new batch were delivered but there was a problem with them and they've had to go back to the company that prints them. Otherwise I wouldn't have been out of stock! As soon as they get them to me I'll list them again.

Here's the link to the Stitch Journal playlist. You'll find all of the videos in order here. I usually work on each page for 4 weeks. One more to finish this one though! ua-cam.com/play/PLOcpU7tS8uYAj1mfl-GfLi14IZKVaRiBi.html&si=epjtOfYQ83zcHxSh
