That Wild Hunyburst sure looks good on there... it makes the guitar look like it sounds the way it does. Not used to the $100 upcharge for that kind of paint job though... I figure in my mind it would still be the one to get but I'm not used to that yet. Most of my life unless the finish itself was drasticly different Gibson, Martin and even Taylor charged about the same for the burst as the natural. I remember some Gibsons would come out with two different levels of paint job but even then they were usually within $50 of each other... They may have even been within $10. Times they are a changing.
Why does it seem that most of the honey burst 717s are in the usa and the binding stands out more? Uk are all so so light and binding same colour . Amazing guitars I love mine I have both the 717e and 517e. I really want a mega dark 717 tho. 😅
so taylor just copies a gibson j-45 and add their v brace give me a break! don’t get me wrong i love taylor and the new v brace sound good but i don’t think it should add $500 to a $1000 dollars 💵 to the price of the guitar 🎸 at this rate even the 100 series will be in the $1200 range and out of reach for the average person ,tell me this Bob taylor why!! does changing the position of two pieces of wood in the bracing (from an X to a V) add more money 💴 to the price of the guitars! why does it cost so much to change the position of two small pieces of wood!! i guess you only want rich people and rock stars ⭐️ to play your guitars
My 410 new in '93 cost $850 ish plus tax with a hardshell. In '03 I bought another 410 (they switched from mahogany to Ovangkol) for around $1150. Today a 410 is over $2k I think.
These are roughly the same price as Martin's Standard series and the J-45 standard, and less than the J-45 vintage. I don't see people complaining about those?
Still not as nearly bad or blatant as Martin's CEO8. Or even Martin's Performing Artist guitars with the Taylor-esque pickguards and cutaways. Companies influence other companies; this influence is pretty tame compared to some others.

Sounds a lot like a Martin.

Ron they didn’t claim it was New. Taylor guitars are terrible they sound horrible like a cheap Fender acoustic.
