Great video. Just as an FYI you want about 3/16"-1/4" of deck rack. Meaning you want to set your furthest blade forward to that 3" and you want the further back 2 blades to be 3-3/16" to 3-1/4". Gives the deck positive air flow and helps discharge and helps keep the deck cleaner and cut better all together. You can keep it level for certain grass breeds in dry areas and depending on the grass and area you can run a little more rake. But adjust the blades how I said, you can play with rake by adjusting rear tire pressures to find out what cuts best for your area.
where did you get that funnel from? I could really use that forsure when i change the hydro fluid.. Also my local dealer said something about "purging the fluid" im not sure what he meant or if it was a money tactic - whats your thoughts on that?
Oriellys for the funnel. Honestly I have no idea about purging the fluid I just followed the manual. As you seen I just drained changed filter and put in new fluid. I been mowing every 4th day with it now since the service with no issues.
On my mower I followed the manual, it’s page 38 an 39 on mine. The only thing I didn’t do is remove the drive belt. It does not say anything about purging the system. Sorry I couldn’t be of anymore help on that topic.
same here, mine is a 2012 lazer e, you said yours was a 2014 i believe. Well if i have any other questions or concerns ill have to message u/comment. Thanks again for your help
I have this model. Is there an easier way to access the carburetor than taking off the muffler? I can’t figure out how to do it since the bolts are obstructed.
Hey just saw this video and helped a bunch, what size zerk did you put on the front caster wheels? My exmark has that plug also that needs to come out. Also did you take that gold cap off while putting new grease in or just let it shoot out bottom, thanks in advance man.
Glad it helped, Please subscribe. I want to say it was a 6mm zerk but not 100% sure. No I didn’t not take the gold cap off. I just give mine 5 pumps every year and call it good. It you put to much to where it’s coming out the bottom it will blow out the seal over time.
Also I wouldn’t leave the grease Zerk in the hole . I would put the plug back in that way if you bump up against a T post or something It doesn’t break the grease Zerk off. If it broke you might have to then use an easy out to get it out and re-tap it.
The plug head is an 8mm I know that for sure. But the thread portion is much smaller. It’s most likely the 6mm. You can get a metric grease fitting assortment at auto zone for around 5$.
hey man, question for ya, have you replace the pulley closest to the discharge chute? I recently purchased the bagger unit for the mower, and my dealer told me i have to remove the one i have which is a single pulley and put the double pulley that came with the bagger unit on, so the ultra vac belt will attach. Is it just removal of the nut ontop and swap the pulleys or is there more to it? Let me know - would save me a few hundred bucks instead of taking it to the dealer. Thanks in advance!
got it off had to actually lower the side of the deck by taking the bolts from the chain links - i got it used from craigslist works like magic. Spent 500 for the everything
What about to run forward for 30 seconds and backwards for 30 seconds 3 or 4 times with the mower jacked up after changing the hydraulic fluid,is not that necessary to avoid damaging a valve or something????I saw that in another video and u just want to Make sure

@@4MRanch Awesome thank you so much. I guess i can measure the plug bolt size now to see if its a 6mm and that will be the same for the zerk?

@@4MRanch Ah gotcha didn't know they were different sizes. Thank you for the help, I really appreciate it.
U like exmark a lot I see
Rodney Turner yes I do they make good mowers.
great video, when do you change the hydro oil too?
At the first 250 hour then 500 hr there after.

I seen one, it looks like you just remove the nut on top then install the double pulley. I thought about getting it as well how much was the system?
got it off had to actually lower the side of the deck by taking the bolts from the chain links - i got it used from craigslist works like magic. Spent 500 for the everything
Noah H Good deal I’m glad you got it figured out.

Make sure
I mean, what’s the difference in driving it on the ground versus having it jacked up really it’s the same thing.
just to add , the manual says change the oil while it's hot.
Yes you are correct. Be careful not to burn yourself.
for sure !
Hey whats the name of the book you have.
It the operator and maintenance manual that came with it.
