It really hits you with nonstop action to the point that upon rewatching this commercial I completely forgot the game was that basic and bland. 10/10 directing

The coaster's safety system tried to prevent the full train from leaving because it knew that there was an empty train stuck on the track somewhere, but the ride operators assumed that it was wrong and overrode the lockout. The safety procedures have since been strengthened significantly, with ride operators being unable to override the safety system in such a manner anymore. The Smiler is an incredible roller coaster and has never truly been unsafe, and an accident of that magnitude is pretty much guaranteed to never happen again.
