Wow. I just watched Son of Saul and had no idea what this short was about when I started watching it. The second the camera looks out the window and I see what is happening my heart sank. This is so well done.

Très beau court métrage tout en simplicité de Laszlo Nemes ! Quel travail sur le son, l'image et ce plan séquence de 13 minutes est incroyable d'efficacité et de beauté !! Bravo!

Oui, l'ingénieur du son du film "Le fils de Saul", Tamás Zányi, décrivit le son dans ce film comme "une forme de contrepoint acoustique de l'imagerie intentionnellement réduite". Le film demanda 5 mois de travail sonore et des voix humaines parlant dans pas moins de huit langages furent ajoutées à l'enregistrement original de production. Le réalisateur cita comme influence le chef d'oeuvre du cinéma russe "Requiem pour un massacre" (Idi i smotri) d'Elem Klimov (1985).
Cette technique d'anesthésie du spectateur par l'usage de longs plans sequences en Steadicam rappelle celui de Gus Van Sant dans son film "Elephant" (2003)
