Bloodborne: How to befriend Djura (gatling gun guy) AFTER he shoots at you in Old Yharnam
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 кві 2015
- IMPORTANT: He WILL see you and shoot at you in Old Yharnam as you make your way to the Blood-Starved Beast, but there's no other way to befriend him. Just don't kill him and he won't recognize you later.
After trying this different ways with 6 characters, I narrowed down the exact triggers - there's a lot of misinformation out there about this sequence, hopefully this video proves how its really done and someone can use it to correct the various wiki pages and such.
What you need to do:
- Don't kill Djura (fighting him is fine as long as he lives through it)
- Kill the Blood-starved Beast (in order to spawn kidnappers that take you to Hypogean Gaol)
- Fight Darkbeast Paarl (hit him and then die to him, OR successfully kill him)
- Reload the Old Yharnam map and get to Djura without him seeing you until you reach the top of the tower via the ladder (any route is fine as long as its a "back way" to him - the shortcut to BSB from the start of Old Yharnam does NOT work because he sees you even though he doesn't try shooting you at that distance)
Things that don't actually matter that some claimed did:
- Doesn't matter if he sees you on the way to BSB (in fact there's no other way to do this)
- Doesn't matter if you kill everything in Old Yharnam (except Djura himself) on previous visits
- Doesn't matter if you've fought him before, as long as he's still alive
- Doesn't matter what outfit you wear
- Doesn't matter what route you take, as long as he doesn't see you before you reach him once the map loads
- Don't have to actually kill Darkbeast Paarl (but warping out doesn't work, have to let him kill you!)
Benefits of doing this:
- New dialog
- Dust Off Gesture
- New shop items without having to fight Djura (like Stake Driver and Rifle Spear)
NOTE: After befriending him if he sees you fighting any beasts he'll become aggressive again and never forgive you.
NOTE2: Doing this does NOT get you his armor set, only killing him does, however you can safely kill him after befriending him without missing out on anything (AFAIK). - Ігри

because when you die you go to the hunter's dream. makes perfect sense.
Kind of a badass line imo.
Hmm, maybe Djura was trying to be my friend, because he jumped off the tower like this guy just did.

so Djura is not affected by the plague, knows about the dream and knows the beasts were once human.
I feel there is more to him than we know. He doesnt seem to worship anything and says he used to be a hunter. Perhaps he found the conspiracy of the blood church and realized the old ones were simply monsters using the humans and disbanded everything which is why he stays in old yarhnim behind a gattling gun away from everyone where its locked off.
Evil Nick ll
Flame thrower and the beasts respect him to an extent
accepted the offer i'd assume
Evil Nick Djura, along with Eileen the Crow, were almost certainly two of the previous ‘Paleblood Hunters’ (as loremaster Redgrave/DMC_Redgrave refers to them), the ‘special’/‘chosen’ Hunters like the player character who were bound to the Hunter’s Dream and eventually submitted to Gehrman and were freed from the dream and continue to live in the waking world. As one of the senior members, if not the de facto leader, of the Powder Kegs, he would’ve played a major role in the burning of Old Yharnam, quite possibly the prime orchestrator of the entire thing. Eventually, the slaughter of thousands of innocent civilians took its toll on his conscience (understandable...), and he basically flipped out and said “Yo, Healing Church, you guys are whack, I’m out...” and chucked the deuces. Now he ‘protects’ Old Yharnam, which he previously destroyed, as a form of penance to try to make amends for all the terribleness he did. His armor, the ‘Ashen Hunter’ Set (excellent poison resist and best frenzy resist set in the game, btw), description mentions something about him coating his armor in ash as a ritual/ceremonial act, assumedly ashes from Old Yharnam (quite possibly the ashes of *people* that had burned in Old Yharnam, because Bloodborne is just messed up like that...), as a ‘mark of shame/guilt’ for what he had done. And so he sat atop his tower with his machine gun wallowing in guilt for who knows how many years. But then I showed up and punched him off the tower to his death. Because I’m a nice guy, and I wanted to relieve his suffering. And get his badge... but mostly relieve his suffering... maybe...
awsyoos Well... I doubt every single beast in Old Yharnam is one of Djura’s family members... unless there was some seriously gross inbreeding going on there... maybe thats what triggered the scourge of the beasts... you never know... but, more likely, he feels kinda guilty since he previously took part in the burning of Old Yharnam and killed thousands of innocent civilians... which is pretty terrible... and now he ‘protects’ the place he helped destroy, as a way to try to ‘make amends’ for the terrible stuff he did... that’s why his armor is the ‘Ashen Hunter Set’- he coated his armor in the ashes of Old Yharnam as a ‘mark of guilt/shame’, basically.
Djura would've been good to stand as a Forest Hunter covenant, or Rat King covenant. You'd have beasts on your side and drive people out who kill them, haven't befriended Djura, or joined the covenant. (I feel like the beasts should've been passive after you befriend him. Would've given something to the area. Eh, I'll kill him first run and spare him in playthroughs after that.)
Dude yes, it'd be just like that. I wanna get on that gatling gun tho 030
Very late comment. But FS has quite interesting covenants. Its a shame the playerbase just want to mindless invade and nothing else

For the people who can't befriend Djura even if they follow this guide (which works), there's a way to unlock it:
1- Go to him, don't fight, and let Djura kill you;
2- Go to the Yahar'gul Chapel lamp and run from there to Djura without killing anything;
That's it... I'm not sure if he needs to kill you, but this is what made everything click for me!
Yahar gul Chapel Lamp is where?
@@philiprudloff8596 inside that church where you encountered 3 hunters.
@@franciscoisaac87 i met 2 hunters one on the Roof with the Gun and one on the bottom he had a black mens suit
@@philiprudloff8596 no, it isn't in that location. Yahargul lantern is after you pass the Amygdalas (the one's with lasers). You enter a chapel and then, you have to find your way to Dark Beast Paarl.
@@franciscoisaac87uh, isn't that another back way to djura, or would you still approach him from the front through this path?
Screw this, I'm hunting the bastard. Reminds me of Priscilla.. "This land is peaceful, its inhabitants kind..." With all the talk of the beasts meaning no harm to anyone."
Ya, and I'm king of Yharnam.
HeWhoWatchesYouShower A year late, but he never said that the beasts meant no harm. He simply said that they couldn't do any harm to the people above because they were locked down there.
More like most of the people above are either dead or turned into beasts
Aren't the creatures in the painted world locked away as well?
kosmos well he never leaves old yharnam so he probably doesnt know that lol
yea imo he’s a traitor for refusing to hunt the beasts
While I am thrilled to find this, and would love to try it out on my next playthrough and make friends with Beast Dad, I'm mostly excited to know that I'm not the only person in the world who uses the Kirkhammer.
Anastasia D I saw a few people use it when I started playing this a week ago, when I had my saw cleaver. I saw them through the apparitions you see, but now that I have it and use it everybody seems to be using some scythe and some other sword. I got this game the beginning of this month so I don’t know too much
shittiest weapon in the game... expecially the sword
Celacanto shittiest weapon??? Have you never seen the rifle spear or stake driver lmao
Nexi Corn If you get good bloodtinge gems the rifle spear does retarded damage, I have someone on my friends list who can take eat ebrietas health away with ease just shooting with the rifle spear. I've seen him do it, just depends on build. The stake driver, yeah unless I'm missing something it's all but useless.
iSmokeRockz that's the build I hate the most even today
It would be nice if agreeing not to hunt the Old Yharnam beasts meant they wouldn't attack you.
If Djura is still hostile no matter what you do, try this:
Instead of warping to the Graveyard of the Darkbeast lamp, warp to Yahar'gul Chapel instead. Then travel on foot to Graveyard of the Darkbeast and onward to Djura as usual.
I recall being able to just run through Old Yharnam without killing the beasts and managing to chat with him. Djura is a badass, and it's a crazy moment when you discover that other hunters have been a part of Gehrman's dream. Also interesting how the Old Yharnam beasts poison you
I'm pretty sure the reason for you having to have witnessed paarl is most likely because that dark beast is the last dark beast, and by witnessing it you gain the insight of why djura decided to protect the beasts and upon coming to this understanding of djura and his motives for defending the beasts then, and only then can you chill with the wielder of a relatively underwhelming weapon without proper gems.
On top of him understanding that the beasts do no harm and should therefore be dealt no harm in return.
I heard if you get to 100 Insight, consume 5 umbilical cords, and face the Loran Darkbeast in the FRC Chalice Dungeons, if you survive for 10 minutes without taking any damage or attacking it, Djura will appear and congratulate you on becoming a true Beast Whisperer. From then on, all beasts in the game will be non-hostile, npc hunter summons will be replaced by npc friendly beast bosses, and if you slot 3 Abyssal Bolt Gems in a +10 Lost Beast Claw with the Beast’s Embrace rune equipped, you can transform into a Darkbeast.
EDIT: OMG I just tried it and it totally works!
Also, if you get all of your party members to level 99 before the end of disc 1, you can play as Sephiroth.
Paarl isn't the last Dark Beast.
@@KyleJordanGaming holy shit! That worked! Thanks man I never knew this was possible!
Awesome stuff, tho it's weird those are the specific triggers. It seems their intention is for Paarl to be killed, you find the backway in, and make your way to Djura and find him non-hostile. But then, why are the triggers the way they are? weird stuff.

I wonder if he still has to kill you once? Or if that can be avoided if you go to Paarl first.
I love his voice
You sir are a legend for figuring this out and showing us. You have my like!
It'd be cool if the beasts in old yharnam didn't attack you after befriending him because the beasts don't attack him or his friend
Didn't work for me. He still keeps agro'ing my ass as soon as I poke my head over the rails of the ladder.
This helped me out quite tremendously! Thank you very much!
Oh yeah, I remember Djura. He tried to mow me down with a minigun before I climbed up his tower to kick his ass for shooting at me with that minigun.
He wound up *_falling off the tower_* after he dodged a few of my axe swings. The fool left me a badge I could use to purchase my very own stake driver so...Thanks to him for making life easier for me I guess.
lol the same happened to me
Classic. In the DLC you can actually get that thing. Not exactly the best choice for ammo conservation, but totally the best choice for being swag AF.
I almost killed him and he did two backsteps to kill himself. I wanted to punch his corpse for robbing me of my victory.
Damn ive been all the way through the dungeons, beat the game more times than i can count and i never thought of doin that
Djura is still hostile to me after I defeated BSB and Dark Beast. After i defeated the Dark Beast I ran straight from its grave to Djura without killing anything along the way but still that old fuck shot me when I climbed to top. WTF??
I'm having the same problem. Have you found a solution? Does it matter what covenant you're in?
+Diamonddeath I think you have to see, not kill Paarl
+Rojigami you have to warp in from Paarl's lamp. You can't go straight from there after killing him to Djura.
+Diamonddeath Covenant doesn't matter.
+RayzeTheDragon You can do either, it doesn't matter. You just have to warp back to the dream and come back for it to work.

damn...this game needs a sequel...if NiOh can get one so soon after release, why cant this?

Mind blown. Love it. Gonna have to try this on my next play through.
best method so far, good video
Thx so much, this really helped out
You can actually get a Gatling gun ranged wep of ur own. In the old hunters dlc, where all the pools of blood r, follow the river of blood downhill past all the bloated enemies to a really dark cave where you’ll find a Gatling gun-wielding enemy called djura’s disciple. Kill him and he’ll drop an equippable Gatling gun
Wow I had no idea this was possible. Nice find !!
Great video man thanks :)
Confirmed still working as of November 2018. It took me two tries. The first time I think he noticed me because I was sprinting, so I tried walking slowly after the first ladder when I got close to his tower and it worked fine.
I knew this guy protecting this place so I respected it and only inter to get the loot.
Didn't try to hit any monsters there.
But he attacked me anyway and kill me.
So I said OK. Before I kill the final boss I will wipe the town with his ass and go. So I entered again just to get my souls back.
Found out that one of the monster drank my blood echos. Second later I found my self surrounded by some of the enemy and got killed again by his fook gun.
So I said fook it.
I enter a third time killed every one there. Cleaned the town. Claimed the tower and raped him for his fooktared bullshit
AC_CORVO Gaming Rofl... I can’t help but respect that level of sheer spite. Well done.

If you want an easy kill, equip the cannon, lock onto him and shoot as soon as you climb the ladder. He just looks at you before flying off the tower. Then exit game and reload (after his echoes enter your inventory) and his drops will be next to the gatling turret.
Gonna try this out. Thanks!
I wonder what happens if you lead some of the beasts in Old Yarham up the ladders to Djura, will he fight them? Or will they just gang up on you?
Surely nothing because its impossible to get a beast there so im sure they didnt programed it for that
The two legged beasts will come up the first ladder if they chase you down from the top, but I don’t know about the second ladder to the top of Djura’s tower, never tried. Might be interesting to see. My guess would be that their AI is programmed not to follow you up the second ladder.
Someone already tried this, you can search ‘rogue_rouge’(the guy who did this) on UA-cam. Beast can go to the tower but no reaction between Djura and beast. You can lead the beast to kill Djura. Djura won’t turn against you by the beast’s attack. He will die placidly.

I've had a few problems with this but I finally got it to work... The two big things that I did differently that weren't mentioned in the video (a great help by the way!) was that I;
1. warped in from Hypogean Gaol and
2. Had zero blood echos when I spoke with Djura. I don't know if either of these are factors but this is what got the job done for me. Hope this helps!
Wow I never new you could do that!
Thank you so much! l'll try this the next time l play... Already killed paarl but couldn't find the route l should take. Always wanted to befriend him and use his weapon!
That dude killed me on my first attempt. I climb back all the way up the ladder and this time he falls of the tower. Didnt even have to fight him lol
I was completely blind when I enter Old Yharnam and my first instict and top priority when he gunned me was to kill him which I did.
After being on ng+12, I was certainly shocked to see u can befriend him
7:48 that line is amazingly awesome for some reason.
“The beasts will feast tonight.”
Good job!
"Well well... how did you get in here?"
"in here"
... Wot? Okay, pretty sure From had this dude in an indoor location originally when this line was written, lol.
So many years and I just found this out today...
I tried to fight him about three times. On the third, He kept on moving so much he must’ve planted his footing somewhere off the edge, and just fell; no joke. I could tell this happened when I just received blood echos out of nowhere. I went to see him again but he was no longer there.
Had I known it was possible to speak with him and earn a gesture, I might've let him live. Dude tore me up with that gatling gun though.
I platinated bloodborne with no idea that quests existed and secret things to do, I think they should add more trophies
I was absolutely not expecting to walk out hear and hear in my mind, “AC130 inbound.”
The voice acting is amazing
puroresuraa you don't seem to have replies enabled on your Google+ account settings, so I hope you see this, but yes its fine to kill beasts before killing BSB, Djura doesn't seem to recognize you or that he previously saw you killing beasts when you do this. In fact its fine to kill them on the way back to Djura after meeting Paarl as well, as long as he doesn't actually see you do it. I only ran past them in the interests of keeping the video short, normally I'd kill all of them on the way back to him since he can't see me on that route anyway so has no idea I did so.
Wht do u mean by BSB ?!
+Adeeb Bokhari blood starved beast I'm guessing
You don't have to fight the Blood Starved Beast at all. You can take an alternative route to Forest->
Byrgenwerth->Kill Rom-> Yahargul unseen village-> Dark Pearl Beast and meet him again without him firing a single bullet at you ;)
Was nothing as of last night but I'll check again
Some random beast keeps dying so it's not letting me befriend him T-T
yo wei it doesnt matter if a beast dies
Thank you.
Here I am trying to rip this guy’s heart out and I find out you can just be friends. This game is a special gem
Thank you so much! I wanted to befriend him but found so much conflicting info that I wasn't sure what to do. This made it so much simpler.
I really like his dialogue. It implies he learned a bit more than he was supposed to and now just wants to keep what little peace he can.
i pushed Djura off the tower but he is still alive with his full health. Can I still befriend him?
rubin Noo... That's like killing someone's family then telling him/her if he/she wants to be friends
rubin Ik it's 8 months but
rubin yes
Sure. Just say, "It's just a prank, bro!"
I followed all these steps perfectly and he still shoots me at the top of the ladder.
Help?
You just have to fight Paarl. Nothing more; win or lose - doesn't matter
Happened the same to me. Fought and beat the Paarl, but Djura still tried to kill me.
@@shesho hm. When you kill Paarl you should have to run to him without travel to Hunters dream. This should to the trick. Alas, Bloodborne sometimes has issues with side quests - i.e. yesterday i've completed an early chikage build to make "the Bloody Crow of Cainhurst build/cosplay". In order to do so, I also need to get the Bloody Rapture rune from the Crow himself; alas during Eileen quest, Henryk didn't spawn, so I'm unable to do so. But, NG+ awaits!
thank you so much for this, i was stressing over it when I started new game +
If you run up on the roof then quickly go back down the ladder he'll try to follow you and fall, then just go collect your badge.
I finally realized the meaning of “the next time you dream, give some thought” I’m so stupid.
Thanks for this. I find fighting him really annoying and this is a lot easier and more rewarding.
Now how am I supposed to feel about this after all those years and all the play throughs while having no clue about it!???
Dude that's cool I'll definitely try that out! it shows a bit of Mercy in the game if you like playing the game like that. lol

You can do this too if u go to old yharnam and do the skip after the skip he gives u the same text
Djuras voice is so relaxing
HE GIVES YOU AN EMOTE?!?!? this just went from mild interest in a possible glitch to THIS IS CONTENT AND I MUST PLAY IT AGAIN AND GET THAT EMOTE!
Every time I fight him he backs up off the building.
5:24 that actually gave me half a heart attack because i didnt expect him to just stop oml XD
@iShadyXL - I killed him with a group. But didn't find his armor. I have yet to go back. But I noticed that you can by his armor at the Insight NPC.
+Volt Ron That's how you get his armor. You don't find it. The only thing he drops is the badge
He jumped off the ledge and ended himself when I got up there.
I haven't attacked any monsters but anytime I come back I get some hostile dialouge, But when I get up there he's still Friendly
I still can’t believe to this day. That he doesn’t have much lore in the Bloodborne universe. Not to mention much to really give the player.
If you have trouble beating him just as soon as you climb his tower lock on and just keep shooting him with the gun until he falls off
Goddamnit. When I got up there I thought he was gonna be hostile and so I started swinging at him before I could talk to him.
I’ve killed Darkbeast Paarl, Blood-starved Beast, and not attacking beasts on the path to him from either boss arena as intended. Djura is still hostile when I climb up the ladders. Any help on this please?
Alright I solved it, basically I went to Hunter’s Dream, quit, went back in, teleported to Blood-starved Beast’s lamp, and ran to Djura. Hopefully this helps if the same happens to you
00:31 that scares the shit out of me every time, I forget about it every time I go here
If you wear church attire he will attack regardless but this is only a chance. Tested it 2 days ago going back from paarl wearing the black church chest piece & he opened fire like a jerk.
its frustrating how much better this runs on ps4 than ps5
Rip Kobe
He's a pretty friendly guy after all
love how he claims the beasts to not be harmful yet every five seconds they’re trying to gang up on me he’s a cool character be he can die 🖕 not doing all of that for a gesture and a weapon
good video though
Well you should do it because you know, trophy
But if you kill him he will drop that badge so just for a gesture and some more dialogue,do whatever you want
after several attempts he is still hostile to me, i killed paarl and went on the back but he is still mad, didnt kill any beast. i killed him, so much for the gesture..
You can buy his armor but only in the insight shop
Amazing
What happens if I knocked him off the tower before killing Darkbeast later? Will I still be able to get to Cainhurst?
How crazy would it be if you befriended him and then All the beasts of old Yarnam were like "Hey this guy knows Djura. He's alright, go on through."
There has to be a reason not to kill the beasts before and after you meet him.....maybe you meet him again or he helps you.....from software wouldnt have put it in if there wasnt....we just need to figure it out
I killed him the first time... And the second... And the third... It's too difficult remember all these thing for a gesture.
For some reason, whenever I walk up the first ladder, something dies. I don't know if it's fall damage but it turns Djura hostile. It's really annoying.
Djura definitely just whooped my ass while I was walking up to him 😂😂😂
