As much as I love Justin and John, it always seemed to me that Ray was painfully overlooked. He had some of the best Moody Blues songs but it was always about Justin and John. I’m not knocking them, but I feel that Ray should’ve gotten as much attention.
In show business, you have to be promoting yourself constantly since you (or the packaging of you) are the merchandise people want to buy. Also, many people rely on you for a living and you can't let them down.
Thank you for your many talents Mr. Thomas. You are sorely missed and fondly remembered.

Agree. Thomas was indeed overlooked. I think he was the soul of the band.
Yes, absolutely. But the same can be said for Mike Pinder, during the time he was in the band!
He was also the most talented musician.
Ray was "The Voice" of the most beautiful band. Very special all of them, but Ray was the voice for me.
What a loss. Sincerely and dearly remembered.
Sweet remembrance

I think Justin is a lot more stuck on himself than he lets on.

I suspect you are right.
