If I HAD TO choose, this is my favorite song that John wrote. It sounds terrific in this live performance. I'm always impressed with the way the lush sound from the recordings is presented in live performances by the Moodies.
Ahhh, this song is so good live! That entire Birmingham Town Hall concert is fantastic - everyone should check it out if they haven't already seen/heard it. Thank you for posting and for keeping the faith!
We(My wife & I) saw John's Tour Show in Leeds (UK) Super show, brought back a few distant memories then, after the show, John & his partner came into the pub adjoining the theatre, so, what else could I do but buy him & his lady a drink?? Chatted for maybe half an hour..happy times. Then a few months later..Justin Hayward was in UK, went to see him too, in Darlington.
Well, seeing this video for the first time is ample incentive to attend the Poughkeepsie concert in July! I hope to hear my favorite John song, One More Time to Live.
I haven't seen a live show in person, but based on the videos I've seen, your live sound is excellent! Everything is mixed really well, and I love the prominence of the cello in particular. Additionally, your voice has aged really well!
Wow! Who knew John could sing so well. A cello!! I am impressed. I didn't like the volume of the hard rock guitar. It was too loud. No one does the synth sound as well as Pinder did on the Mellotron.
Justing sang it on the album obviously but I have to say while John had a weaker voice in the prime of their career his has aged better by a substantial degree.
God smiles on those who work to make his World a better place.
John has gotten many a smile.
There is no god.
@@flemingcourtsorry to hear that you're miserable, God bless you.
His bass playing carries this song wonderfully. Big fan since ‘65 with Go Now.
Superb song from the best ever Moodies Album ... Childrens Children ... Burn slowly the Candle of life John ... Respect
Yes, I agree. It's my favourite Moody Blues album. A clear, consistent concept, beginning, middle, end.
This song has always meant a lot to me - especially as I get older.
Happy Birthday John! Saw you recently at the Keswick, great show! Thank you for all your beautiful songs and music!
Love this live version....

I hear Ray Thomas playing the flute on this wonderful piece of music
John picked some great bandmates. They really sound good together.
I'm very happy to see Norda again.
One of my favorite songs. But then, all of his songs are good.

One of your best songs John. Thank you for this gift to the world.
Still strong and the entire Children's Children's Children LP is incredible.
It's truly a listening experience from beginning to end. I think it is the album I listen to most often.
@@meloniedropik3539 THANK YOU....🙂😉🥰
when i go camping i like to get drunk and listen to childrens children all the way through
Beautiful rendition, great band
I agree with that. My favourite Moody Blues album and favourite song.
Stunning rendition from John and his band wouldn't thought it was possible to do it without thé moodies ,hat off!!!
We are still Rocking on after 55 years, may we do so for another 55 years.
i love this song. It means a lot to me.
This is so close to the original recording. Lodge has really excelled with his own band since the demise of the Moodies. Long may he continue.
What a great song John!!!!!
One of my favourite John songs, sounding wonderful live. 😊
Me encanta esta canción, saludos desde 🇨🇷
Excellent stuff those were magical days. It's a shame the 2020 All Wight Now 70th anniversary festival got locked out.
Great song. Thanks for posting.
Looking forward to the show in Denver!

Is Norda touring with John now?

It would be nice to have more volume on John's base. I'd love to hear it more pronounced, I know he's a great bassist.
Justing sang it on the album obviously but I have to say while John had a weaker voice in the prime of their career his has aged better by a substantial degree.
