Whitestone probably has the best application guide. The only issue with the screen protector, and any screen protector in general, is that it works great for the normal navigation. However, the screen protector will start to chip away of you are using the gesture based navigation.
I can say personally Whitestone makes a great screen protector. I've bought 2 for 2 phones and not one issue. I'm buying another for this phone and was just searching here to see if they made one for this model.
You missed some very important stages of the install process including wiping the excess glue from the sides of the phone after you remove it from the tray. You also didn't undeline how important it is to not cover the screen edge in anyway when applying the black tape to all four sides. In fact when you show a close up of the tape over the buttons you can see tape is over the screen edge.
interesting but my fingerprintsensor does not work anymore after installing the whitestone protector. how can this be possible? I have put the screensensitivity on high and I tried to reinstall my fingerprints, but ist does not work. Any suggestions?

With my Note 9 I had to trim back my Otterbox case around the opening where the protector is because it was too small and would cause the screen protector to lift up around the edges. Is that also the case with the Note 20 ?
Bit fiddly to install, but it worked a treat. I had some air bubbles but they were easily squeezed out before the first round of curing, and one corner didn't glue properly, but I'm not too concerned about it because it's only a fraction of a mm that's not glued, and the case covers that part anyway. Turned the touch sensitivity up before I put on the protector because I read that helps, and didn't have any issues with the fingerprint scanner. No need to re-register fingerprints. Overall pretty happy with the product.
how is it holding up? im thinking about getting the pixel 6 pro but the curved screen is the only thing im iffy about bc of tempered glass screen protectors. they usually suck with curved screens.
@@vincegarcia6422 pretty good actually. I dropped my phone pretty bad but only the screen protector cracked, the glass under it was perfectly fine. no matter how expensive the tempered glass is in the end edges are gonna chip anyway. In tempered glass the sides are covered with a black layer which hides part of the screen. whereas with installed screen protectors there's no such problem. I've been using Gadgetshieldz screen protector for few months, i didn't encounter any peeling on the edges or yellowing of the skin.

No it's not installing the UB pro after broke not one but both of my whitestone dome glass screen protectors in the top right corner. Their response to me was that due to their partnership with samsung they were cut out to only fit Samsung phone cases. Garbage if you ask me never had this problem in the past w/ using whitestone dome w/ UB pro on my Samsung phones in the past. Not to mention my $70 was waisted I might as well took that money an flushed it down the toilet because I'll never see it again. An their CS team sucks!
@@aomega9634 I can understand why your so pissed, it's definatley a rip off, for that money it should be compatible with most cases, I tripped the other day whol holding my note 20 ultra and the phone hit the cornerof a metal axle stand screen first, tore the pre installed screen protector, but to my amazement, the screen hasn't got a mark on it, I felt for sure it would have broken, I was still holding it when it hit the metal, so it hit quite hard. Strength of the screen has really impressed me.
@@sparx2391 Ooouch!... yea man these phones are expensive I spent $1577 on mine 512gb 5G. So I don't mind spending an extra $30-$60 on a phone case or $70 on a screen protector as long as they work as attended. But when I'm wasting money on a outcome I've never had an issue in the past w/ then it's a problem. They should have made it clear that is only compatible w/ Samsung cases. Just because they said we are now in a partnership w/ Samsung does not let me now that.
question...what happens to the underlying screen if one wants to remove the whitestone dome? Does it ruin the surface of the original screen or can one easily get all of the glue off?
Installation for this screen protector is so hit or miss. I followed the instructions EXACTLY as printed and watched three different videos and there wasn't enough adhesive that came out of the black tube to reach one of my phones corners (waited the full 80 seconds). This was on a totally flat surface and the adhesive bubble was perfectly centered under the guide when I removed the tab. So I tried to press down to get the adhesive to that corner and it created micro bubbles that are impossible to remove. And I also notice the screen protector moves a lot vertically when on the phone when the adhesive isn't cured. The clear plastic guide has TERRIBLE tolerances and the two triangle guide protrusions to center the screen protector vertically located on the top and bottom of the top guide when the top guide is securely fitted to the bottom guide. These poor tolerances allow the screen protector to go under the triangle tabs and move vertically. I also noticed that the screen protector edges aren't curved enough to properly fit my Note 20 Ultra and are slightly "lifted" from the edges of the phone. Overall I cannot believe I spent $65 on something that his this shoddy of an installation procedure. Almost want to rip it off and throw it away. You always learn that more expensive doesn't always equal better.
Thank you for mentioning how far the edges of the screen protector fit the curve of the screen. Its very difficult to tell from the videos and pictures. I would imagine that this makes the Edge Panels feature more difficult to use?
Can we get a close up of the phone to see where the glass fits the screen? I have an otterbox defender and I'm afraid the whitestone won't be compatible
sorry 2nd attempt failed also wasted 60$. but put my otterbox on and dont see how this wont work with otterbox wish install didnt bomb both tries. but screen protector covers 90% of screen so otter shouldnt get in the way
@@4crazykids267 you already have a great case, just buy a 4 pack of flexible screen protectors on Amazon! And you can still use the fingerprint scanner
Whitestone will NOT work with other cases olther than Samsung official cases due to a partnering. It will not work with otterbox defender case. If so, maybe show an overhead camera angle too? "When it reaches the highlighted area" or is it when the bubble his the horizontal line? @ 3:38 this all happens very quickly and might need slowing down perhaps. How is the screen released, there's a hefty bang as the while tray thumps into the table, the higher you hold the tray the bigger the impact. For such an engineered frame, the clunky drop seems very low tech no? As the glue runs across the display, if there's a need to avoid touching the top of the screen while the glue is running under the glass, this would be the time to add some audio to encourage resisting this urge? Maybe explain the volume of glue has been engineered to a precise calibration etc. What are the "things that could go wrong", and how can you mitigate? @ 4:10 are you suggesting that the same screen can be used again? The screen in view looks *destroyed* and full of glue, how clean does it need to be? Isn't this the reason for the extra protector? @ 4:16 how is putting the film on the *top* of the protector stopping dust getting on to the *underside*? Or is it going on the underside again, if so, when you're taking the protective film *off*, you could warn/help how to lay this to love side for possible secondary use etc. @ 4:20 you say, "if you are happy with the position of your screen protector"... Does the tray not ensure its 100% assignment? Is there an option to relocate it at this stage? If not, you need guide that it needs to be ripped off at this stage, rather than curing the glue. @ 4:34 it would need to be added that a mains USB adapter is not included and needs to be acquired. Idea: for easier usage, suggest using a power-bank... When guiding to set out all the equipment, maybe mention this then. @ 4:48 can you guide on the reason for completing the curing in 2 stages, and not simply 1 minute 15 for bothn and not needing to remove from the tray. @ 5:27 you say "the front camera is cut out perfectly", but the alignment looks very off-centre , albeit the angle of the video is not straight on, it still seems highly inaccurate. (If a parallax issue, then again, I'd suggest a front-on camera angle. Also a full perimeter look at all the edges to show how accurate it's been bedded in) Any suggestions for improving the air conditions when applying the protector? Some mention when it's high humidity, but bizarre to do in or near the bathroom with the shower on etc! But any optimal tweaks? Would you suggest registering fingerprints *before* or *after*. If other protectors block the fingerprint sensor, this could be a point to mention in this video. Is there a need like every other tempered glass protector I've used, to use the setting to increase touch sensitivity? The box has mention of a blue layer filter, this would suggest some discolouration of the display... How is this not true? How does it not affect the visual look of the display. Is there any after-use repurposing options for the UV lamp? Look forward to seeing your responses.... I've already bought one and although 2 protectors, "only" 2 tubes. Scaffolding is in there, fingers crossed!!!!!

My favorite screen protector is the Gorilla Glass my N20U came with. I prefer to pay for phone insurance and if my screen cracks it only a $29 USD deductible.
Whitestone is a pain to install but if done correctly it's the best protector you'll ever have. It's really scratch resistant and crystal clear. I first used it for the s10 and loved it. Sadly I cracked that one after hitting something at work so i got a replacement but for the 2nd installation the fingerprint reader wasn't as sensitive and I got annoyed so just replaced with plastic. Most likely because I kinda rushed the installation so it might've been my fault.

Also a full perimeter look at all the edges to show how accurate it's been bedded in)
Any suggestions for improving the air conditions when applying the protector?
Bruh, it's not that difficult you know
@@solar9896 @Solar no-one saying difficult... This is constructive feedback for _them_ and criticism for the product.... And *zero* replies from them.... Not great interaction, maybe shouldn't've bothered.
@@reverseside7387 I'm just saying your "feedback" or should I say "issues are all solved.
@@solar9896 what way?
Step 1 that everyone leaves out: Turn off all fans and climate control. Otherwise you may get dust.
My protectors came cracked and whitestone has not replaced or refunded my money. They want me to pay for a warranty. Not happening
May I know is there any way to proof the whitestone dome glass that I've bought is genuine product?
If it is very difficult to install you probably have one that is authentic
Only real way is a) the price, b) where you purchased it from.
I've seen some knock offs that are cheaper in price.
Also one of the ones that my friend brought was actually plastic, and slightly thicker than the Whitestone.
This doesn't leave a smudge looking circle like other glass protectors?
It is clear if done correctly. Best screen protector on the market for any phone.
No need for the smudge since the glass is fully adhered to the screen and not some thin strips around the edges
it sucks did both attempts near perfect and both failed this is not worth it unless you have the store do it

There was a visable speck of lint on your screen right at the point where you released your glue !
No customer support from Whitestone. Once u buy their screens, they forget you . They already have your 💰. Worst customer support I've seen from a company. DO NOT BUY!
This isn't true. They sent me at least 2 replacement protectors for my note 10+. I just had to pay shipping. Their customer service is pretty good.
@@opemilekanadesunloye351 glad u had support. I did not. THAT is TRUE. U have a customer support number u can give me? Some way to speak to a person there? Plenty others share their grieve of Whitestone . Check out the BBB complaints posted online
@@sincitysteve2009 I can't remember what number I called but they directed me to their website to get a replacement kit. Just pay shipping. I have to use the account I bought the protector on cause they need proof you actually have it.
Excellent commentary very clear and consice and an excellent helpful video glad I watched 👍before trying, for the price I was surprised by the lack of information Whitestone supplied, a barely legible pdf 100 🌟star's to you, many thanks.
Thanks for watching! 😀
interesting but my fingerprintsensor does not work anymore after installing the whitestone protector. how can this be possible? I have put the screensensitivity on high and I tried to reinstall my fingerprints, but ist does not work. Any suggestions?
My favorite screen protector is the Gorilla Glass my N20U came with. I prefer to pay for phone insurance and if my screen cracks it only a $29 USD deductible.
Insurance is for suckers!
Problem is, after changing screen, your phone won't be water resistant any more.
Most likely because I kinda rushed the installation so it might've been my fault.
my fingerprintsensor does not work anymore after installing the whitestone protector
@@frankloeters like it doesn't work at all?
Did you erase your previous fingerprints and register new ones? You have cure for 15 seconds then press ur finger prints before curing the last time for 60 seconds seconds.
It's tedious but it helps the sensor read ur prints a lot faster and easier
$40 for 2 protectors that are the best around-awesome deal. Been using these since Galaxy S9
Amazon just had the 2 pack for 29.99, best price I've got these at yet.

No idea. Worked for me on both devices, I didn't adjust anything. I didn't use the sensor until after I put it on.
I Will say that I have used Whitestone's Dome glass for my Phones for the last 5 years, but the glass on this Note 20 ultra, although it looks fantastic, it makes the FingerPrint unlocking of the phone nearly impossible, and that's even with the extra sensitivity turned on!!!,I'm lucky if I can get it to actually work and recognize my print and actually unlock the screen 1 to 2 times out of every 10 try's!,and that really STINKS!!!
I put it wrong, can I take it of and set it again?
Hello! You can remove the glass from your phone up until the UV curing process and you'll also have an extra tube of glue available, which should come with the protector. 😀
@@mobilefun i have only one protector, i cant use this protector?
I can see dirt particles on the screen even after cleaning😂😂😂
5:35 - it looks like the left side of the phone has a crack on it - is that from the screen protector? What happened?
I noticed that too
Pretty sure the protector cracked.
Not worth of money. Not fingerprint friendly.
Refund requested.
Did you re-register your print after installation?
@@ForeignMoves any issues after reregistering? I just shattered my front screen, $400 to get a replacement so I figured I should prob use the whitedome this time 🤣
Why note cure the midhalf of the phone with UV light?
I installed 2 of these and they both delaminated and flaked apart on the edges. I had to remove them total waste of money.
You guys are doing great work 👍👍👍
Thank you so much 😀
after few weeks the glue at the curves will start to breakdown
That is what I was worried about. Until today I'm hesitating on buying any tempered glass for my note 20. 😳
@@kornflakes6903 then don't, just buy a good case and a flexible screen protector so you can still use the fingerprint scanner as well...
@@byrongaray869 but dude, the glass is wayyyyy smoother than any plastic
@@soliderarmatang5664 as a matter of fact, i went in to a store at the mall, they sold me a tempered glass for my S20+ , i asked several times if it would work with the fingerprint scanner, they guaranteed by putting it themselves, and guess what, it worked, it was a $25 screen protector
Yes finally.. Tq
Don’t watch while trying to put the screen protector on your phone. Lol
Also it is not fingerprint friendly even though they marketed it that it is.
I've seen videos of people using it no problem
I have a whitestone installed on 2 different phones and a friend also installed one. All 3 of us have difficulty getting the fingerprint reader to work reliably. It'll work pretty well during the set up, but once you actually try to use it regularly, you have to press very hard into the screen to get it to read. Almost feels like you might damage the screen with the excess pressure over time. Aside from that, love the screen protector.
@william wil if samsung would quit using curved screens and go flat like the regular note 20, we wouldn't have to go through all this
@@zergslayer69 I can't even register my fingerprints
@@shyamsunilkarthikeyan568 You have to REALLY firmly press into the screen
What about the liquid getting in the top speaker?
Hello! There is a sticker that is provided with the protector to stop any damage to the speaker.
Completely ruins fingerprint recognition. Ask me how I know!
Had no problems with it on my N20U so far....
Never mind, must be lying. Not as if someone could have a differing experience on the same product. Thank you for putting me straight. I'll go back to trying to load my fingerprint for the next few hours 👍
@@craigscott00 I'm using the Whitestone with my Note 20 Ultra and the ones I loaded into the phone stopped working, so I redid them, and after adding my prints twice for the same thumb, it works every time now.
@@TheJayMane thanks for the constructive advice, tried that but unfortunately no luck. Tried curing it a couple of times also. Probably going to take it off and try another one but put a little pressure over the fingerprint area before curing. Appreciate the reply.
@@craigscott00 I did notice I had to press pretty hard in order to set the new fingerprint, but after that, it was normal pressure on the lock screen. I'm not sure why it's failing for some and not others, but I'm glad I got it to work at least. I would have rocked no screen protector if it didn't cause all the others suck.
