I just brought this for uber shareride trips if anything happens this cover your butt big time. And you always can upgrade later to better dash cam in future
here’s the fix, you can’t access the menu while it’s on and recording, hit the red button on the side to stop the recording, and then you can access the menu
I do not think that camera has playback, you have to remove the sd card and put it in a computer or you can take the camera inside with a micro sd cable and plug it in to read the video. If your looking for onscreen playback or like a wifi connection you will probably need to spend at least 100.00 on the camera. The "inexpensive" cameras like that are only good for recording like an accident. If your trying to record things you see and play them back I would do something like the NextBase 622, has wifi, bluetooth, alexa, etc... amzn.to/3WU3fuY It costs more up front but more convenient to use.
Sorry been out of town for a week, you just have to pop the SD card into the little reader the camera came with into a computer. All the files pop up like little movie files, then you can just copy to your hard drive. If it were an accident, you could just give the SD card to the insurance company, of course depending on how well you sing or drive. lol
, you can delete video if nothing happens, read instructions, I still have to experiment with mine, has audio as well, yeah if I'm not happy with them, I'll return them soon
It keeps chipping in and out while I drive, I don’t trust it. The first one I got wouldn’t turn in and I went back into Walmart for an exchange and I am not warming up to it
I just bought one of these, So if I have it in loop mode and my camera records it, then that means in 3 minutes it will record over the event that I want to save, So that means I have to shut the camera off then to save that event, or press the stop recording button ???? Is that right.
Not exactly... In loop mode it will record in 3 minute segments until the SD card is full, then start writing over the data. So if you have a 32gb data card depending on how much you drive it will probably record for at least a week before it starts to write over the data. When I get a new camera I usually drive for about a week, then look at the data just to see how long I have, but if for instance you were in an accident or something happened, you do not need to shut the camera off to save the data. Hope that helps explain, thanks for watching.
Does it record dually? I have it set with picture in a picture (front/inside). How do I pay back inside footage ? I can only pay back front footage. Thanks
Same. Whenever I try googling it, they all say to just take out the memory card and upload it on a computer, and that the rear camera footage is it's own separate file from the front facing footage
I know this is was a few months ago but you press and hold M to get it into playback mode then press and hold the down arrow and it will swap to the inside facing camera.
Sorry message got buried in my messages. Mine at one point started to do that also. I could not get it to quit so I brought it inside and plugged into my computer and powered it up, did a "factory reset" and put my settings back in, has worked now for a couple months no issues yet.
Yes it stays on about 1 minute then dims, there is a button on the bottom you can hit for it to come back on if you want it on. Been a while since I used this camera but if I remember there is a setting in the menu you can set to stay on or go dim.
Try holding it down for a few seconds should let you into the menu. If not there is a small pin hole I believe somewhere on the camera that will let you reset it to the factory settings, may just be stuck. It is not the most expensive camera on the market, so some bugs happen.
It works for an "inexpensive" camera... Quality defiantly not the same as a $300.00 dash camera but for the way I'm going to treat it... lol Basically going to sit in the South Carolina Sun on that window and bake until it doesn't work anymore... Been there a year now still works... Have gone thru 2 NextBase Cameras in my truck paid over 100.00 for each of them. Thanks for watching and dropping a comment.
Mine is in my window in Myrtle Beach, 145 in the vehicle in the summer and probably 30 in the winter. Only problem I have had is the little cheap suction cup that mounts it, that will fall off when it is really hot out.
@@rayberger2694 Yes, but sitting in full Sun in South Carolina destroys the plastic. Every brand of dash cam I have used the suction cups always fail. Best one I have found is the Nextbase cameras, they have a glue on windshield mount, and the camera is magnetic, so when you want to take down the camera just pull it off.

To play back inside footage hold menu to get to play back feature then hold the down button to get to the cab view
Thank you so much!
Got one from Walmart works great ! saved my butt when I was hit !
Good "inexpensive" camera does it's job. Thanks for dropping a comment.
Thanks, I just picked up this camera. I'm planning to set it up in my car.
This was very helpful and made me feel like I can do this by myself. Thank you.
This is frustrating. I cannot get the menu to show up when I press the button. How do you get the menu to show up so that date and time can be changed
here’s the fix, you can’t access the menu while it’s on and recording, hit the red button on the side to stop the recording, and then you can access the menu
Power ON
Press OK to stop recording
Press MENU button to enter Video Settings Menu
Press MENU button again to enter System Settings
(make changes to system settings)
Press MENU button again to exit menu interface
Press OK button to enter or confirm system

I recently got this camera, works great but the time always keeps resetting itself, how do you fix that
Does it have motion detection mode? Sometimes called parking mode? Where it only turns on when seeing motion?
Yes it has a parking mode and "Impact detection" modes. Not the best camera in the world but functions fine for the price.
Does it do video playback? How? I just wasted 5 min realizing i cant get the video to play back on the device, about to give up on it.

Hi. This won't play back videos on the camera?
Hold the ok button and it will bring up playback gallery
Thank you for the video. I did not see anything hanging from the dash cam. Can you share how you hide the cords? TIA
Any idea how to save a video from a certain incident?

Does it measure the speed of the car
How do you upate your onn, and save the video? I can find if you did that video. Thanks for the help

How long to charger?

Mine I just got from Walmart yesterday but so far it keeps turning on and off by itself
Literally picked mine up from Walmart tonight, came home and tried to plug it into my car… clipping on and off. Smh
Mine won’t show the big camera it only shows the passenger camera how do I fix that?

I bought one of these twice. The cord/wire broke both times. Why did it break so easily?
Got it off Amazon for 22$
Thanks, good informative video
I can only get Parking Mode to engage when it is unplugged and running off the internal battery that lasts about 3 seconds.
Is there a reason it keeps turning on and off while im driving

Do you have to have it pugged in or does it run off battery? Thanks
Sorry for the delay, it has to be powered, it has a small power storage for "bump" detection but doesn't last long.
How do u get in settings I ho
Hit ok , nothing happened

You can "lock" certain videos to not be overwritten, but all videos that arent locked will be overwritten automatically
