What makes this even worse: Netflix cancelled Daredevil & the other Marvel shows, so that they could spend the money they were paying Marvel/Disney for the licences in order to buy the licence for this comic and the other IP's by Mark Millar.(According to an exec of Marvel TV, they were absolutely surprised by the cancellation, because they were counting on Netflix to produce at least another DD season.) They even re-assigned the showrunner of Daredevil to do this here, instead of a 4rth DD season. The guy actually left the project mid-production, because he was pissed on how Netflix was handling everything.
Netflix cancelled them because they were going to lose the right anyways because Disney+ was around the corner. It was a smart move business wise because they could tank the shows/characters before it got too popular and would have to compete against them in the future. It sucks for us the viewers because they were good shows, but it was the best move for Netflix unfortunately.
One of the issues with the scene is that there's no controversy. Anyone with a brain would know that what Mark did was correct. He saved the lives of all the heroes present and perhaps millions if not billions more. Another is that the characters who die get almost no screen time prior to this. The only thing they're there for is to weigh on Mark's conscience and justify killing. But he's still too much of a daddy's boy to change.
Honestly, this fight gives off a bad impression of the show. It doesn't have the neccesary budget to fully execute a large scale fight that would inevitably occur when fighting a Darkseid esque character. It actually explains the problems saving the world with honour and chivalry in modern day society, and creates a grounded realistic experience of what the world is like. If Superheroes existed in real life, they south either be corrupt like the Boys, complex and grey like in Invincible, or so honour bound like here they are practically useless.

@@parkeranimations3671 That's what he's saying
Honestly, this fight gives off a bad impression of the show. It doesn't have the neccesary budget to fully execute a large scale fight that would inevitably occur when fighting a Darkseid esque character. I found the non action parts to be the most interesting, and I feel like this show had a fair amount of positive aspects that set up a lot for a season 2. Shame we'll never see it.
@@legoyoda9782 exactly. I liked it too. It had so mucht potential. I hope it gets revived some day with more budchet and runtime.
Whoah whoah BlackStar is 2021 you can't kill off diverse characters
Good one 😂😂😂 👍
They wouldn’t have killed him if his name was WHITEstar.... Just saying...
Like Snape said in the Hogwarts 2021 Harry Potter parody: Get Woke
1:17 🤣🤣🤣 okey , i go back see invicible
sure kid
@@tems_channel777 calling everybody a kid when ur the one who likes this low budget crap there using such bad effects and if u like this show so much then keep it to ur self
Look, the CGI was awful. We get it. Honestly, the show so far isn't that bad in terms of story. It's doing the Superhero family trope without making it a dumb comedy. It actually explains the problems saving the world with honour and chivalry in modern day society, and creates a grounded realistic experience of what the world is like. If Superheroes existed in real life, they south either be corrupt like the Boys, complex and grey like in Invincible, or so honour bound like here they are practically useless.
Agreed. I was fully hooked in the first episode till this fight. If they focused more on the character stuff instead of trying to do big fights they don't have the budget it for, it'd be better
Bad cgi makes this look very funny
Bro the story sucks pretty bad. It's legit just a CW show with somehow even higher levels of troubled city/family life tropes. It's so uncreative it hurts to watch.
@@JesusSerranoFireandIce Look, I finished the show, and although my opinion isn't as strong as yours. I definitely see your point. The show had a lot of potential, but I just felt a complete lack of direction. There were too many characters to remember and too many arcs, some that were hardly touched on (Flare II legit had like two scenes in her arc). I don't really see the point of it, what's the purpose of the story
@@JesusSerranoFireandIce did you like the comic then?
What in the bargain justice league is this supposed to be?!
Didnt even know that guy with flaming fists died lol
Lmao same
Looks like a real-life street fight, but with powers.
I actually liked it. It looked like a hot uncoordinated mess, which is EXACTLY what I would expect a REAL fight to look like.
10/10
A real fight yes but a real fight from a team of people who practice and y'know, are an organized team of fighters literally fighting for their life? This chaos fails to capture anything good and falls short of that. It sorta looks like Supergirl. maybe it'd look good uncoordinated if these people got their powers and met like yesterday and had to figure it out
It’s not the choreography that is the problem, it’s the special effects.
Stephen King the choreography is bad among other (many) things
Vut this isnt real. This isnt people fighting. These are "people" who have powers and abiloties and their fighting would lookd diff...and it looks just too basic and nothing complex..
@@stephenking5852 nah. The choreography is definitely also terrible, like look at this shot bro 1:11
Those punches are really, really weak.
it is called "Love Taps".
"you don't seem to understand; "evil superhero show" isn't *YOURS* to conquer!"
Lmao the villain can't even move his suit
I really tried twice now to watch this last night being the most recent and i cant. I just cant bring myself to enjoy it. Now seeing this im really glad i didnt torture myself
It's a mix of good and bad.
The story is good. The backstory was good. The cgi and fights was kinda iffy but I liked it.
God, y’all actually made this stay on Netflix’s top 10 for weeks??? Wtf??? 😂
This series would be a hit in 2011 or so 😂
Why did Netflix hire the CW to do the special effects for this fight?
Idk why everyone’s hating this fight scene so much. I didn’t think it looked bad at all tbh. Yea I’ve seen better, but it’s no where near as bad as these comments are proclaiming. It actually went pretty hard. Not many super hero shows try to be gory, and right off the bat we saw 4 people get obliterated. The show’s alright by me. Plus they’ve got some real good actors as well.
The CGI & effects in general weren’t too bad, reminded me of how Aquaman used a lot of practical in the movie, but the editing and fight choreography is so goddamn bad & goofy that you can’t really take it seriously.
I just watch it because I want a season 2 to continue the origin story, it was great!
Looks like a school play 😂
This feels a lot like a cw show mixed with the Boys.
Don’t do the boys like that
The CGI us making not want to watch this but part of me wants to watch this
It's pretty damn good tbh, although I'll admit there was some cheesy parts to that fight. But damn good show
@@patrickmacvane5725 no it's not lmao
@@aurora9252 Eh, it's not good but it's not that bad, it's your average superhero show, the CGI is in the same range as that of the CW or the Boys
@@albertoorani5427 Yea, but the fight sequences and costumes are too comical
@@aurora9252 For the fight scenes, I agree. For the costumes, well, it could be said that they are supposed to look cartoonish, since the comic and by the extension the show made fun of all those superhero tropes
I get power rangers 90s budget feeling from this
Black star is basically Darkseid when the Wifi drops one bar.
The show is legit not that bad. Y’all need to calm down 💀
Exactly bruh these people are never pleased
This just reminds me of super girl and that was a bad show...
Even supergirl had better fight choreography than this and THATS saying something lol 😂
@@haiderz4510 ua-cam.com/video/x814kCo5BMs/v-deo.html
It’s the editing not the action
The show is actually pretty good
This looks like something a college student could make.
Wtf did I just watch? Where's invincible?
I’m starting to think Netflix makes shitty tv
It dosent feel like they hit that hard considering they barley raise even some dust when they are slammed into the hill. That's a very intact hill after all the super strong people slamming into it.
ua-cam.com/video/x814kCo5BMs/v-deo.html
This guy looks like a poor man’s Darkseid
I don't know what it is, but it's something weird and wrong about this fight scene
It's probably how lifeless everything feels
This feels like a youtube posted cosplay graphics designed video
This makes all the cw series look good
I loved that scene. Yes it is not the best Superhero fight but it got some wight behind it by killing some of the Heroes.
That looks horrendous
It truly is
@@seranok4087 power rangers is ten times better than this
@@aurora9252 not in story telling.
Show literally just came out
Right lol
And I finished it already
And it thinks it's quality production. The power rangers is better than this
It actually amazes me how people are complaining about the cgi lol. It's not bad at all but it's also not a MCU movie so therefore it's not going to be Captain America vs Thanos every fucking scene
I'll just rewatch invincible until season 2 comes out thanks
Bad cgi, but a good story.
Edit: I hope the cgi will improve.
Same looks pretty lame in cgi terms
People are all ready hating this show even tho it just came out today and not to mention it has an awesome plot and awesome cgi if u think I'm wrong compare this show to previous superhero shows
The cgi is not even the worst thing, the acting is honestly shit and it seems like a kids show. Compared to the boys where the characters are unique and detailed, i mean look at homelander and william butcher. This show just lacks overall quality.
And pretty much all superhero tv's suck except for that and invicible. Everyone has just been hoping this would follow in its footsteps but it doesnt
@@JohnSmith-ur2on have you even finished watching the first volume yet??
@@AlejandroGarcia. I've watched enough, no matter how good the plot can turn out (which doesn't appear hopeful), the show will still be bad, you can't seriously say it is of the same calibre of shows such as the boys.
Sure if you want to compare it to those cw superhero shows it's alright, but thats like comparing dog shit to human shit lol
Awesome plot? You must be 12
Wow, this looks like a really good college fan film
Wow. Did Joss Whedon direct this?
Anyone know how the fire guy died? I guess he died too but I can't tell where in this fight he died
Oh I guess he died by utopian being thrown into him, didn't even see that
yes he died by utopian being thrown into him at fullspeed, you see the fire blown at 00:07 when utopian hits the fire guy dan ruby.
Damn this combat looks aweful
I love this
rip someone told me this series had good fights, i have been misinformed
The camera work, directing, writing and CGI is horrendous.
Hopefully there is brutal scenes
I agree, it should have been an animated show, just like Invincible or SuperCrooks ...
2:16 the way he says the line just sounds like his friend just trip off a banana peel 💀
Either it's just me or that looks like darkseid...
No I thought that too
looks like jossssstice league
I’m starting to see a pattern of knock off Superman characters that are overly violent, Homelander, Omni man now this?
I actually loved this show
How does a Netflix original budget have worse cgi than the cw shows
At least the writing is better...
it's actually better then most Cw shows have you watched supergirl
CW is way worse then this.... this is bad but not that bad.
Tim M Superman and Lois is better
@@mcrsmash8319 That's why you used the best cw has to offer Superman and lois is good everyother cw show Has worse Cgi then this show Arrow SUPERGIRLL and flash oh god... DC legends of tomorrow compared to those this isn't half bad at all I like the story so far to..
Drama part is good but The heros's suits (except sheldon) and combat are really suck :v
