I always hated the idea of a hero breaking a code in killing someone. As well how if it was someone they loved, was understandable. However, it should be if there was no other choice. That if there was no hope at all, no kind of redemption or even that of a chance for the enemy to give up. For this case, it had to be done. But it can’t be the answer for everything, that’s the true reason why in this moment, Paragon had to kill Blackstar.
At that moment Paragon put himself right up there with Optimus prime as the greatest superhero ever for their willing to fight to the death to protect those that can't protect themselves!
The code in this show is absolutely ridiculous. Paragon isn’t going around murdering people the second they establish themselves as villains. It was self-defence. Morality is irrelevant. Here's the difference between Superman not killing and Utopian's "Code". Superman doesn't kill because he is so powerful that he can afford to hold back. The only reason the Utopian and his group of caped cub scouts don't kill is because they don't have the willingness to do what needs to be done rather than jeopardize the lives of innocents to uphold an outdated rule.
Superman will kill if necessary. He's idealistic but not naive. He does accept the reality that to save lives, some have to die at times. He doesn't have a code derived from a fear of corruption like Utopian or Batman
If you’re going to do a show like this the least you can do is give it a decent budget that was about as bad as some of the fight scenes from supergirl

I’m a sucker for legends of tomorrow, The flash, marvel agents of shield, arrow, and definitely Jupiter’s Legacy so if your like me in my taste of shows I strongly recommend this show I mean yea the fight scenes are not at all up to par with the cgi we get in the marvel and dc movies but the back story and characters are all awesome in my personal weird and corny opinion so if that helps anyone that’s cool if not whatevs 😊

To immediately berate him after he'd just heroically saved all their lives under extreme duress was a major mistake. Sheldon could just as easily have had this talk in private after he'd cooled off. I agree with the code, but cops aren't supposed to kill anyone either and we understand both morally and legally when they're forced to do so. Paragon might as well just surrender himself to the justice system, see what court is ever gonna convict him.
I understand his idea and logic. But he has to understand sometimes, that there’s not many choices, and no time to think. No one is perfect, maybe he couldn’t have but he wouldn’t be able to think that on time. The issue with super powered heroes is that most of them don’t think of a new way to take down their villains, they think the same way is the best way. But a villain like black star isn’t just muscle he’s also a genius. In this case the leader shouldn’t be so hard on his son, because it’s all their faults never considering how truly dangerous he can be.

Heroes should be like Batman, Spider-Man, iron man, and any other that use their brain. Not every villain will fall for the same tactic, black star is the perfect example. He probably couldn’t beat the father by himself without his armor, not in a straight battle. So he makes armor, and he makes it powerful.

There is no such thing as a "code" among superheroes. It actually is a law that has to be followed in Hollywood and in theatre that applies to all good guys in specific situations. A "hero" in film and theatre is technically not allowed to do certain things unless specific conditions are met that validate the action. This is why Batman, Superman, etc never kill their enemies. Because it is not allowed as a law or rule in cinematography.
1) If they could have done that earlier they should have. Refusing to do so is unconscionably stupid and immoral. 2) This is such a blatant rip off / combination of DC's Darkseid plus Marvel's fight on Titan scene from Avengers Infinity War that it's not even funny.

This entire scene makes no sense. First, clone Blackstar is powerful enough to fight off the entire squad of multi-powered beings easily and even manages to kill 3 of them. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere Paragon pulls enough power out of his ass to one shot Blackstar...well why didn't he just use enough power to knock him TF out, oh I don't know, maybe BEFORE he killed your friends. Then later, the real Blackstar gets matched and beaten by just Paragon and Utopian...which means the 2 of them could have just beaten the clone version by their damn selves instead of involving others and getting them killed. Then we find out this was all an elaborate hoax by Brainwave which actually makes no fucking Goddamn sense whatsoever. He could have just lied and told them he scanned clone Blackstar's brain and pinned it on Skyfox. I mean, he seriously played along this entire ordeal for no reason, got his daughter involved for no reason, killed her for no reason, and nothing of that was even necessary. Nothing of this made any sense at all. I see a lot of retconning for S2.

Some DC heroes kill but it's a general rule of thumb that killing without it being a necessity is frowned upon. Personally I'd go the justice lords route and lobotomize all the criminals who can't be reformed.

To immediately berate him after he'd just heroically saved all their lives under extreme duress was a major mistake. Sheldon could just as easily have had this talk in private after he'd cooled off.
I agree with the code, but cops aren't supposed to kill anyone either and we understand both morally and legally when they're forced to do so. Paragon might as well just surrender himself to the justice system, see what court is ever gonna convict him.
I understand his idea and logic. But he has to understand sometimes, that there’s not many choices, and no time to think. No one is perfect, maybe he couldn’t have but he wouldn’t be able to think that on time. The issue with super powered heroes is that most of them don’t think of a new way to take down their villains, they think the same way is the best way. But a villain like black star isn’t just muscle he’s also a genius. In this case the leader shouldn’t be so hard on his son, because it’s all their faults never considering how truly dangerous he can be.

@@normalcomic4768 Still, for these to be the top heroes, their punches had literally zero impact on the guy. I'm pretty sure they were handicapping themselves to abide by "The Code" but still. It allowed for unnecessary death of heroes, it was just... embarassing.

Heroes should be like Batman, Spider-Man, iron man, and any other that use their brain. Not every villain will fall for the same tactic, black star is the perfect example. He probably couldn’t beat the father by himself without his armor, not in a straight battle. So he makes armor, and he makes it powerful.

There is no such thing as a "code" among superheroes. It actually is a law that has to be followed in Hollywood and in theatre that applies to all good guys in specific situations. A "hero" in film and theatre is technically not allowed to do certain things unless specific conditions are met that validate the action. This is why Batman, Superman, etc never kill their enemies. Because it is not allowed as a law or rule in cinematography.

This entire scene makes no sense. First, clone Blackstar is powerful enough to fight off the entire squad of multi-powered beings easily and even manages to kill 3 of them. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere Paragon pulls enough power out of his ass to one shot Blackstar...well why didn't he just use enough power to knock him TF out, oh I don't know, maybe BEFORE he killed your friends. Then later, the real Blackstar gets matched and beaten by just Paragon and Utopian...which means the 2 of them could have just beaten the clone version by their damn selves instead of involving others and getting them killed. Then we find out this was all an elaborate hoax by Brainwave which actually makes no fucking Goddamn sense whatsoever. He could have just lied and told them he scanned clone Blackstar's brain and pinned it on Skyfox. I mean, he seriously played along this entire ordeal for no reason, got his daughter involved for no reason, killed her for no reason, and nothing of that was even necessary. Nothing of this made any sense at all. I see a lot of retconning for S2.
This is why the show got cancelled. Stupid morality logic. As a comic, you can get away with this. Going mainstream, people's brains can't compute.
