In 1998, I worked the Family Values Tour as a security guard both backstage..and the front row. Rammstein's pyrotechnics on the back of my neck was a feeling unlike anything else!
What I loved was that the crowd was just as hyped for Rammstein as they were for Ice Cube when he came on stage next.
The blend & overlap of rap and hard rock is the love for the hook...and the unmistakable lyric of the chorus. I wish there would be more concert tours that did this. Jonathan Davis of Korn was really onto to something here. 💯

My husband set up a couple of shows for them years ago, they have their own pyrotechnics room. Their shows cost hundreds of thousands to set up, it's ridiculous
I absolutely believe it, @@natashka1982. Prior to them going on stage, I was assigned to the outside of their dressing room. So...there they are dressed in costume and they're tinkering around with their waredrobe. Basically, pre-wiring the lines so they could look like they were shooting fire out of them....all in German, of course, so it was I distinguishable. 🤷♂️
Gotta get out “Engel” from the same Madison Square Garden show. As well as “Ich Will” from the 2016 hurricane festival.

Queen fan here. Freddie is for sure the reigning champion of crowd control. Rammstein a very close second. Both bands are my favorite in that same order.

I agree. Have seen Queen + Adam Lambert 5 times so far. Would've seen them again this month in Berlin but the tour has been postponed to 2021.
Same goes for my Rammstein concert ticket for next month.
They're very different, so comparing them is tough. Both are spectacular live acts in their own right.

It is pronounced rammSCHTEIN
Both are right. The german pronounciation is "sch" which is similar to the english "sh"

You should do a reaction to a band called ghost. The songs I'd say to listen to the comg called cirice first then if you like it choose one out of like "year zero", "square hammer" or "rats" they're very theatrical. The singer dresses as a "dark" pope they're a satanic themed heavy metal band but heavy metal like ozzy Osbourne type of metal not like screaming stuff. They're very very unique
Shame you don't understand German; I think you would appreciate the theatrics more. The singer usually speaks as if if he were in a stage play, with rolling Rs you don't normally find in any German dialect. Anyway, they are a fantastic band and I'd like to see your opinion of the official "Ich Will" video (means, "I want") and it plays like a mini bank heist movie.

Yes, I always wonder why the people acting to the songs in UA-cam do not comment on the text like the Germans would do if the described an English song. The songtext comprises a important part of the message and often is in context with the performance.

Sup dude! So, "Rammstein" you said almost correct, more like "Rawm-SHTINE", with emphasis on the second syllable "stine," with the long-i sound. There is a city in Germany, "Ramstein," with only one M in the name. There was a tragic nightclub fire in the city of Ramstein, and there were some fatalities from that nightclub fire. They have denied in interviews that they named themselves Rammstein to intentionally draw parallels with that nightclub fire (they came together to form Rammstein many years after the nightclub fire, it wasn't a "right away" thing) and generally, I do believe that those interview responses were actually truthful. That said, I have read about how Rammstein is mindful of the tragic events that happened at that Ramstein nightclub, and I'm illiterate in German so my only research is limited to English-language materials, but I'm convinced that their name is intended to be respectful toward the men and women who died in that unrelated earlier fire.
With the double-M spelling of the band name, the band name "Rammstein" becomes something of a pun, or a tongue-in-cheek joke, because then it translates to English as "ramming stone" as in "a stone set aside for the purpose of having other things hammered against it." Like a blacksmith's anvil. Which is kinda a description of the entire wider genre or sub-genre of music that Rammstein is a part of "German-industrial rock music". And I typed it here with the hyphen, as "German-industrial," because it's not entirely accurate to describe them as "an industrial band that happens to also be German." Instead, there is generalized "industrial rock" and "industrial music," but German-industrial is a specific and distinct sub-genre of industrial-overall music.
So that's enough music-splaining if you want, I know how hard the UA-cam algorithm can be, I see that you got 10k subs and I know that every view helps, every share helps, every Like helps, and every comment helps with the visibility, so I hope it's ok that I commented here on this other Rammstein react-video!
