Omg, I been through the exact same thing, been hosting 12 years on airbnb and tried booking a week ago, it took me 10 hours just to set it up, now I hope I don't get a booking also, wtf is this booking without pay, even the payout supposed to wait one month.
Same experience. It’s the most nonsensical platform. I tried it on and off for years hoping for a different result. We all know what the definition of that is.
Man....I thought it was just me, I just set it up and what a nightmare to try and figure out. I have been searching for content to learn how to maximize booking and I cant find anything worth while.
B.c. is awful. The platform sucks.....15% fees😢. it is however the biggest OTA for my area. I do not link it to my Airbnb. When I get a booking I ask that a 10% non refundable deposit be made in order to block the days on other platforms. That has worked for the most part. Those guests return and book directly..
Let me know about your experience hosting on Booking.com ⬇
Only;y had bad experiences. I quit using them.

Did it for 2 years, just quit. Agree with everything you said, shouldn’t even be in the str space.
Dude!!! Don’t get me started.
I figured out BDC. But before I did everything went wrong like your experience. It now is my second largest OTA.
