Hey Thomas, when will you review the new ë-C3?
This guy is the most detailed, respectful, careful, informed etc. reviewer I saw on the internet. Good job Thomas!
Highly appreciated! Please recommend our channel 😎
And handsome 🙂
biased review.....cheers
Fully agree
Yes, he is such a nice person. Mat Watson could be funny and entertaining, but also could be way too much...
Us Romanians thank you for pronouncing dacia so well!
you re welcome!
Big brand in europe. Time to learn its name is long in the past
Stupid English youtubers say: Daszia... 😂
@@ironman8257 pfff yeah sure
@@chronyk743 It is a rather well known brand here in the EU, you see plenty of them driving around.
THIS is what we need, not massive and heavy suvs, we need small affordable electric cars like this or the citroen ec3, really hope we get more like these
Renault 5 will be revealed next week, with a sub €25000 price and 400 km WLTP 👀
@@Saddex yeeee looking forward to that one as well
@Darx97: Yeah, too bad EV's are not the future, just pure marketing, and also, too bad that cheap cars are all bad cars. All cars for the masses have many problems and are of bad quality, from Opel, Ford, Renault, Mazda, Seat, Skoda etc. They are all very crappy cars. They were good 20 years ago, but not today in 2024. People should wake up a bit more.
@@legioner9 Seems like you're the one that fell asleep 20 years ago and just woke up, welcome back old man with shit opinions.
@@legioner9 saying that cheap cars are "all bad" and that people should "wake up" for wanting them was a very effective way to throw out your credibility straight through the window. Congratulations!
The Dacia Sandero is an example of a cheap car that is decently reliable and cheap to run and this is enough for a huge swath of people. Arguing anytime else is just plain stupid.
You can't hate small cheap cars.
You aren't wrong but I can also have zero interest in buying them.
it's sad how a 20.000 euros car is seen as cheap nowadays
@@notsaab we don't know yet the prices
I like when manufactures makes cars more simple to reach a lower entry price.
20000 EUR for this Death Car? I am ashamed Renault launched this under the Dacia name... Sandero, Duster, Lodgy or even Jogger are great value from the Dacia brand. Can you compare this Spring to the eC3? They are both pricewise very close... but eC3 is not a Death Car like Spring is...
@@caranicola prietene, mergi cu ursuletul tau si pastreaza-ti opiniile pt tine
Dacia new design language rocks! 👌🏼
Good morning! I woke up, and I will start my day with Thomas's review, so, should be a good day 😊
Good Morning! :) Enjoy!
Reminds me from my childhood road trips to France with those manual window openings. Thought they were completely gone.
it looks so cute! regardless of it being a dacia. a big step up from the previous generation spring
It is the same generation, but is heavily revised
great to get V2L. Respect for Dacia for including it. Many many more expensive cars do not offer V2L
That’s the only positive thing I saw in the car… For the rest, it’s underpowered, tiny battery, acceleration from 40 years ago and poor NCAP security.
Isn’t possible to do better for an affordable price?
@@paulosmr8160it hasn’t been tested by NCAP yet. It’s all new.
@@paulosmr8160 Apparently, no. Dacia is the master of quality over price paid, so you only have chinese alternatives, or paying at least 10k more for not driving that carefully.
O evoluție mare din punct de vedere al designului, față de modelul anterior!
Numai bună de utilizat prin oraș!

I do like your reviews in English , SO better than most British reviewers.
Thank you so much! Please recommend / share our channel 🙏
I only discovered this channel a few months ago but I must say I love the approach, pacing, tone and in short professional way the reviews are carried out. And also entertaining.
Thomas, I try to catch every one of your videos. Thank you for everything you’re doing
An excellent well-balanced review, in total contrast to that of Mat Watson of carwow which was condescending and elitist.
Agree completely, he is getting far too used to reviewing £80k plus luxury cars to give an objective view on an affordable EV.
well-biased review.....cheers
That guy has turned into an arrogant snob, always acting like a clown, now hes just showing off with his expensive watches and clothes
If this car fitted my use-case then I'd be more than satisfied with the design and quality. A charming little car.
Great car what we need more of in this over priced car world. Why people drive over priced tech laden speed tanks around in a city when they only average 10 mph has always baffled me, if i had to live in a city this is what i would buy. Great review as ever Thomas👍👍
Thanks my friend!
This is a small car from 25 years ago (think Punto, Saxo, Clio)... I love it
Dacia has revealed its all-electric Spring hatchback, set to become the UK's “most affordable” electric car with expected pricing of around £17,000.
I think sales have spoken for the Dacia Spring. Many people just don’t care about non essential premium features. They want something basic.
Ask Dacia Spring owners. They just live their car.
This look so good! Impressive what they've done since the first iteration... Imagine the next gen!
Affordable, but... here we go again. 20k EUR is too much for the "car" that basically cannot go outside of the city and getting cheaper extremely fast because of the battery degradation. I would say about 10k would be just right price for it, no more than that.
Delusional
200km range is somewhat generous for being unable to go outside the city. It could be much smaller for a true city car.
Battery degradation tends to be a non-factor for the majority of EVs, especially with at home charging.
It's 12 000 euro in Germany. But there is too much limitation. 9 hours charging time, 200 kilometer travel time.
Good news everybody!!!
many compliments for the very complete review! Any information available on the width (with/without mirrors) ? Thanks and compliments again
Good review or perhaps preview since there was no driving.
Sometimes it is worth being brought down to earth on what is essential and not in a car, and this does it. The UK price was suggested as starting for the mid range trim at about £15k. If you fill up every night or at work a range with a radius of 40 miles or so is not a problem not just for city drivers but for many country ones who do most of their mileage locally. In a small country like the UK this covers a lot of use cases. There is a lot to admire about this car, though I hope I never have to drive one….

Cheap, basic, simple, small EVs should revolutionize transport. We're getting there.
Good news! New Dacia 👏
Very good for pizza delivery. Pretty much the same car. But nice facelift. Thanks for the clip 👍
An interesting EV built to a budget price. Probably going to be popular.
Brilliant review once more, Thomas and it's great that you address the safety ratings which very few reviewers do.
Some people refer to manual window winders as "keep fit windows" so I'm looking forward to a future review where you can slip this into the script.
Great review, very informed! 👏👏👏
highly appreciated!
Very nice. Much more competitive than the old model. However I’d pay a bit more for a Citroën e-C3
Dacia Spring vs Citroen Citroën ë-C3, that's the question.
Definitely the Citroen C3! It's better in so many aspects.
C3 is not made in China, is more more safe and powerful...
@BuildersM8 Not at all.
Admittedly the ë-C3 is also bigger. Then we are also getting the Hyundai Casper electric soon which more directly compares with this, we'll see.
I think the price should be even lower. For 20k you already get couple of years old Peugeut e-2008 or Nissan Leaf for example. But if the car really needs to be a new one and you have only 20k then its the only option at this moment
It’s also about financing and taxes. A new car is cheaper to finance
The comparison should never be between a used and a new car. With that logic, I shouldn't get a new Yaris because I can get a used Audi for the same price.
@@carlosrivera3260 Depends on the age and km you're comparing with. You can't compare a 5 year old car with 200k km with a new car, obviously.
But a 1 year old with under 50k km? Not that far from being new. From there you can adjust and calculate the risk/advantages as you want for your personal needs/wants.
Why would a 1 year old car be on sale, what's wrong with it? And it's lost a year of warranty, smells of previous owners bum and won't qualify for low APR.
😂
This car would be even cheaper second hand.
Here's the dilemma. Do you go for a New Dacia Spring or a Renault Zoe from 2020 and 30k km for EUR 14 000? It is always great to have more affordable EVs for the city and I like the back to the basics approach from Dacia, but where do you draw the line? Thanks for mentioning the safety aspect Thomas. You're insightful as always.
I'd take the Zoe any day. I've driven quite a few of them (car sharing) in the city. Quality is decent and it has plenty of city-punch.
I'd wait for the electric Hyundai Casper instead of the Spring and it looks like it might be even cheaper to buy.
It’s nice when you can wait. Most people buy because they need to.
@@sbomorsethat car will not start from 15500
Zoe, 0 star NCAP under the same regime the Spring got a 1, and that's not just because of the removed airbag. No warranty either.
It’s such a cute car, looks good too! Thanks for the detailed review, I always turn to your channel if I’m interested in a car as I know it will be good!
Highly appreciated! Please recommend our channel!
The fact that Dacia havent cheaped out on buttons says A LOT about other manufacturers.
I would take the Citroën ë-C3 instead.
The Citroen being an option now, the Dacia has to be much cheaper (or better, which it does not seem from the video) to still find a buyer.
@@dauerwerbesendung7045 yeah, the Citroen is bigger, much faster (111hp) instead of the miserable 45hp or 65hp of the Dacia, has a much bigger battery (44kWh), can go quite a bit further (320km/199miles) and looks better (in my opinion)
Love the manual windows
I would love to see Lea also sit in the front and back seats to see how a 'normal' sized person would fit in the car. Love the content!
9:44 That infotainment system gives me Peugeot/Stellantis(former PSA Group) infotainment system vibes. I know that it's not under the same management
14:50 someone really found himself being that curios, excited and full of joy child!
A lot of the bad decisions on the inside are fixed, it actually looks nice now for such a cheap car and stuff like LED lights and V2X on such a cheap car are fantastic (cough cough VW). Maybe it can have heated seats now so it can come to the nordics officially?
80 horsepower + 40kWh battery would be perfect
In Ireland we drive on the left as well. Not just the UK.
Wow, I really didn't know that. Thanks
I wonder why

Could be a winner.
@Autogefühl is the platform the same ? it look to me like it is a CMF-A Low Specs. Thank You
Surprisingly you haven't done a review for the Renault Austral .Are you going to do one ?
5 hours later Thomas is still winding down the back windows
Still fast enough to break the speed limit in Wales!
My 2016 Fiat Tipo has manual back windows too!
Awesome car for the money and purpose. Loving mine since 2022!!!
This looks really nice and upgraded. First spring was just a standard non-worth car.
Sorry but so does this one…
Cracking little car
This car looks so pedestrian and is made out of newspaper but it comes with a warranty and that’s what matters. I want one.
The design is amazing inside and outside, but yeah I ONLY see it as a city car for the range so it wouldn’t work for my lifestyle, but such a cute car and the selling point is the price which is magnificent!
I'll have to wait and see the ncap results.
They wont change, bad results
Cheers mate
NiCe Facelift
Nice alternative option. Here in Brazil we've almost the same car, but its name is Renault Kwid and it isn't an eletric one.
Nice video Thomas!
Romanian Fiat Panda. Like it, not enough range to replace my e-Golf
When does the emabrgo on the RENAULT 5 lift ??
Early next week, stay tuned right here and activate notifications!
@@autogefuehl can't wait 🥳
Damn Dacia, U crazy ❤️ love it
This would be a great car for new drivers. Or a cheap second car if you need a backup car.
Tomek, have you mentioned the price?
new one is not out yet, but something 20 k + again
When is it coming to India, we are waiting for it with open arms !
Small, cheap, clever vehicles are my favorite. Thank you for the review. Reminds me of my Spark EV.
When the market says that an affordable EV is over 20k and has a range that forces you to charge it every day....oh man...
The first one was really hard to justify. This time at least the looks are decent.
It has a „screen cleaning“ mode which my Taycan doesn’t have 😅
The "grille" looks like top down view of Paris or something; and the side windows, side mirrors, and door handles seems shared, but everything else inside & out are new.
So, deep facelift?
I doubt that with exception of the roof all parts are the same on the exterior. I get the new front and rear ends but clearly it still has the same side mirrors and doors.
14:52 wow lol
OMG, looks like the car of Lord Helmchen 🤣
RHD, For your Irish friends too
For sure 🇮🇪
Thomas, YOUR KNEES ARE INSIDE YOUR NOSTRILS! It doesn’t matter that the rear seat has enough headroom at that point 😂
Important: don’t take this as a jab at Dacia. Cheap EV’s are needed and it’s good to see that Dacia is paving the way.
Does this Renault Kwid meet crash test regulations or is it a death trap like the Indian or Brazilian versions?
Bad crash results
What! Look at rear window when cranking😮
Wait for Hyundai Casper EV ;)
first I thought someone put a toilet brush holder between the front seats
that little yellow one is so sick
Is this the new Kwid?
It's an electrified Renault Kwid more or less
What's it like to drive?
This one is now looks great
The affordable city car has arrived its low tech and v2l is fantastic.
james may will approve!
When the cheap electric has one of the best controls...
125miles is way to low as that would be realworld of under 100 even for the price. EVs should be a minimum real world 150 miles
This is a city car and most of its owners use it as such, which means they drive less than 30 miles every day and at an average speed of 25 mph. The yearly savings on fuel will offset the price premium over a period of 5 years.
If the turn indicator still can't click rhythmically then I'm not buying. It sounded like a broken toy.
Will it last? - The days of treating cars, and all other manufactured objects, as throwaway products needs to come to an end.
To me, it is important to make cars that last longer and that people want to keep for 25 to 50 years. Building cars is very energy demanding. Safe, desirable cars with a long use lifespan would go a long way toward reducing pollution.
Lots of new videos on the Spring.
A very welcome update for a very modest car that's still not available in Ireland and Great Britain. My biggest bug bear is that it's not aerodynamic enough and PR and white collar people demanded it should mimic an SUV.
I'm confident that if the Spring had serious aerodynamic design like air curtains, wheel shirts and caps, aerofoils, longer spoilers, diffusers, molded roof - it might look like a Prius C/Aqua but that's for the better for EV range.
Dacia should seriously consider making an Estate Spring, not just for space & practicality sake but also because a longer car with an appropriate descent angle up to 12° would offer a much more aerodynamic flow for air to depart from the body.
Seems like a no-brainer, but VW didn't see any sense in making an estate eUP. VW didn't even see sense in keeping the eUP in production if it wasnt in a class of its own and the ID3 delayed hy software bugs.
It will come in UK too
If it priced under £18k or under ₹9Lakhs in India will be successful after its Ice version
Except for the size being unusable for northern Europeans, I'm actually positively surprised. Also manual window cranks are really all that's needed, can't remember when last anyone put the rear windows down in my car.
Forgot to mention the great Ling Long tyres 🤣
Looks like a Renaut 5 a bit
I want same car in india soon under 10 lac with great mileage
Is how a city car should be. But than we can’t show off, as today world is all about showing off , so we need a big SUV that doesn’t even have space in the city car parks
