  • @cmcb09
    @cmcb09 12 років тому +14

    Although Piers seems like a very nice man and very optimistic he is yet to learn not to do something that killed Vicki Lawrence's short lived talk show. The people are tuning in generally to see the guest and to hear them talk. If they just wanted to see the host they'd watch every time it aired. Asking questions yeah its part of the interview but don't dominate the whole discussion.

    It's too bad they didn't get the re-boot going years earlier like in the mid 2000's before Larry Hagman got very sick. Perhaps it would have had a legitimate chance to really get rolling and make JR the main character again. The show as it was couldn't have maintained a strong enough viewership for another few years without him.

    These three people are not the only ones who made Dallas. Susan Howard and Victoria Principal also made Dallas .Donna and Pam were my two favorite people on Dallas. Larry, Linda, and Patrick always leave Susan and Victoria out of group interviews. I think these people still hold something against Susan and Victoria. That is very sad.

    oh I'm sure we're not alone! I really miss Larry King, his class, his patience in letting his guests talk and he even said that the secret of a good interview was not interrupting and not making it all about him but about the interviewee. piers obviously missed that completely. what an annoying bastard. I hate watching him but sometimes I am forced to watch because of the very good and legendary guests. but that's it!

    lol - I wouldn't hold too much against him...he's always getting it in the neck here in the UK for exactly the same thing pointed out in this video. But then again - I mean I have seen loads of Aussie/Canadian/UK/ US presenters/ Anchors just as guilty of this crime, but I reckon you don't get to this level of status without having this kind of persona and I reckon it will never change (as much as it is annoying for you and I the viewer!!).! lol!! But hey the networks love it!

    yeah and he also should not ask his GUESTS whether they are sane or not like he did a few nights ago with Robert Blake. Now, if only Piers Morgan stuck with pop culture stuff (and maybe business), and stayed out of politics. He could well still have been on the air, today.
