do you feel that the transformation is purely cosmetic? i mean, did you feel a need to change on the inside?

I think it's deeper than purely cosmetic. For me, part of transitioning is about other people's perceptions - wanting to be seen in a certain way and communicating that through my appearance. But even if I stayed inside all the time and never interacted with others, I'd still feel better having transitioned than I would otherwise. Knowing the mental impact of transitioning, it's deeper than just a cosmetic change, because it helps with mental health so much.
