It was only ever old ladies buying Virginia Slims at my gas station. Especially the superslims. Where I worked, the assholes would usually go for cheap stuff like Maverick Menthol 100s, sometimes Newports if it was payday.
@@williammorris5322 😂😂 we had a guy who brought in coupons for nats every time he came in and if it was expired he would scream at me. (For reference I'm a 5'7 female and this guy was over 6'5 easily) he would get so mad I'd have to call the cops. He got arrested multiple times for that. But there was like 3 people that came in to buy the Virginia slims and would call everyone "cotton pickers" they were older, and this is north Idaho. The older people are still pretty fucking racist here. I had an old guy come in and I was helping a regular, who was black but really nice and came in almost everyday, the old guy told him that he should leave and watch his back on the way out. I told the old guy to gtfo and never come back. He looked really offended by that, but did leave.

No kidding! I worked at a Starbucks before working at Target for a brief time. One day while I was on register, they were like “we’re down a person, anyone know how to make coffee?” I raised my hand like “yeah, I’ve done it before.” Next thing you know, I was working in the cafe a few days out of the week lol.
My bf in HS was a cart boy at target half the time and worked at the cafe/Starbucks the other half lol

I did both, and yeah the attitude is night and day, it’s ridiculous. I’ll say this, we had a captive customer at the “licensed” store because we were one of two places to get coffee in the whole hospital.

I once went to a grocery store Starbucks. The lady working said that she was covering for all the other members of the staff were off the clock. She handed me the recipe book & asked me to find the drink I wanted her to make. It was the weirdest experience I've ever had at a Starbucks lol BUT we did manage to get my drink made correctly.

This is actually kinda accurate, as a grocery store worker, we don’t get tips aren’t even technical aloud free drinks, and when there’s no costumers we are all on our phones. There isn’t anyone telling us to act nice and friendly, and we are constantly out of stock on EVERYTHING. And so many ppl come in complaining that we don’t take Mobil orders
& they won't fire us cause nobody wants to do our job

Well.... you can’t really blame us grocerybucks baristas for being bitchy. We can’t take tips and the store management (we have to do whatever the grocery store manager says) is generally abusive compared to a corporate Starbucks.
Not to mention you can literally get fired for theft from a Safeway Starbucks for eating an expired cookie... while corporate stores get free drinks every day and free bags of coffee.

I actually worked at a Starbucks in a Target and it was rough. They tricked me into working at the Pizza Hut and then made me do opening shift duties for Pizza Hut and then I would go over to Starbucks and do the mid-shift duties there (I would do all of this in one shift). On top of that, there was a Latina lady there who hated me for some reason and I went home crying one night because of her. And on top of that, the kid who shot up the STEM school worked at that VERY SAME Starbucks.
