my portable experience was a lot of fun, surprisingly. in good ol' Canada, grade 4 was like learning a whole new skillset, surviving the outdoors. the portable i was in a portable was situated 5 mins away from the main building, and it was in a wooded area. We were also solo out there. My teacher always had food and drink for us, she would give lessons outside. during the winter the back part of the portable flooded and froze over into our own mini crude rink, if you will, and because we lost power she let us play foot hockey outside, the puck was literally a chunk of ice. we were so cut off from what was happening in the main building, that she was able to teach other stuff to us. How to build a fire, what to bring during hikes, how to boil water and make kettle chips. ^_^

So it went to the first result that was in the browsing history. He had previously browsed a adult website starting with Po that has a very distinct intro music for their videos. The video automatically started playing. That’s when he said “wrong Po” and fumbled to turn it off before the class could hear the video. If you don’t know what website this is referring to I strongly recommend asking your parents first because it is only for adults.

I was in a portable in middle school, my teacher used to keep multiple pairs of shoes in the classroom and throw them at people who fell asleep or weren't paying attention. Or he would chuck whiteboard markers. We also had a room that used to be a bathroom, they just pulled the sink and toilet out and covered up the holes with linoleum, we're pretty sure there was mold in the vents because it always smelled super weird in there, and it just had weird vibes and florescent lights that were half burned out. One teacher had very obvious crippling depression, he was soft spoken, quiet, and always walked and talked like he was defeated. A few of the kids found porno and GGW tapes stashed away in the back... no one said anything about it, we were the ones that "confiscated" them. And the ac was out in the entire wing for the 2 years I was there, it was so hot and dry that my eyes felt like they were shriveling up... The best part of this is the fact that the Portable Teacher/Environment was just normal school for me in Elementary School. That's how little funding or care the School District had (and still "has") for that school. From the Principal to the Teachers, the Parents to the Students, the Floor tiles to the Ceiling Tiles, this Portables Teacher was the entirety of what made that school. AND IT HAD AND HAS PORTABLES. So they may have been that much worse than the main building itself haha

So we moved to portables and this exactly how all the teachers were and our wifi and a/c sucked. But when our school was repaired and we moved back in everything was so much more chill and the same teachers were so much different.

I went to a high school which was 2 big portables connected by a wooden bridge. We had some really cool teachers, and then some that were just awful, one of them ate during class and liked to argue with students and prove them wrong to feel good about himself. We had a dead body dropped on our campus(fun fact), and cameras in every classroom. Our principal was later charged with embezzlement. Can’t get any better than that :) !
