Check and balances! So, I’ve had archers advantage for now a little over a year and let me tell you! I thought I was savvy with the program and that my process of building tapes was watertight…wrong!!! Hahaha all good. I watched my brothers video and checked out his process and well little did I know I would pick up a few solid tools for my toolbox. I followed his measuring process with my calipers and used his process for averaging speed and BAMCIS…I nailed 60/70/80 and at 90 I grouped but wasn’t dead centered no issues or worries in the past 2 years I’ve never released an arrow past 60yds until now. I messaged good ol privileged bowhunter he offered to call me when I got stuck, I was able to figure it out before he called and I was truly thankful he would go to the extent to make time to help a fellow archer. Like, Suscribe hit the bell 🔔 you guys will benefit from his style and hospitality. SEMPER FI…

So, my 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 line up well bit 25,35 & 45 are off by about 1 yard. Have tried to sight in using 30 & 60 as well as 40 & 60 with no luck.

I think there is a little error in how you are measuring your draw length. AMO or ATA standard is +1.75 measured from the farthest forward point or the " throat" of the grip, not the Berger button. I think if you use this method your measurement on the bow will match your draw length measured on your body. Provided your draw length was measured with the correct method. Got it! Thank you. I think I need some guidance in order to sight in my bow sight as I have only done it one time (new sight) and then went to shoot 3D but at long distances (45-65) I was off, hitting low and to the right, all the axis are spot, the bow is tuned
and I’m a decent shooter. I have only used fixed pins sight in the past.
I have a MBG 3 pin pro hunter hd sight with two needle indicators. This is what I did: I moved my bottom (40 yard pin) close to the level so I can get more yardage just to practice long shots. Then I put electrical tape horizontally on the target at 40 yards and sighted in by moving the housing accordingly until I was hitting the middle of the tape. Then I sighted in my 30 and 20 yard pins by moving the pins and not the housing and using the same electrical tape placed horizontally on the target at 20 and 30 yards.
After doing this I only used my 20 yard pin to find out the drop of the arrow shooting from 20 yards and 60 yards and making a small line next to the top needle indicator when at 20 and when at 60. Later I matched this two lines to one of the sight tapes that came with the sight and once I found the right tape I put it on the sight bar aligning the 20 yard mark with the top needle indicator and the 40 yard mark with the bottom needle indicator. Did I forget something? Was my process good?
I have archers advantage but I have never made a custom sight tape. I don’t have a draw board either. Thank you.
