You're welcome! Be sure to review the programming concept videos, as we've heard a lot of feedback regarding the amount of programming questions on the exam. Best of luck to you!
Currently studying IT Fundamentals, failed the (FC0-U61) exam by 50 points. Wish i found u guys before my exam. Studying to be a IT Infrastructure Engineer. I mostly struggled with Software Development and Database Fundamentals.
Sorry to hear you failed the first time. We've actually had a few comments from people saying they struggled with database and programming on the exam. Typically the database and programming questions on the exam are very superficial. I just checked and the objectives haven't changed, but that doesn't mean they can't make changes still to the exam questions. If you would like a quick summary you can view all of the SQL data types here: www.w3schools.com/sql/sql_datatypes.asp
Hi there, thanks so much for all of this information! I'm super new to tech and have learned so much from you guys. In subsequent videos could you place your graphic in a smaller area? It's touch to see the whole cart. You are currently discussing box #3 and it's blocked. Thanks again!
First video I've seen by you guys . Liked and subscribed. As someone new to IT trying to learn all I can videos like these are invaluable and so much help thank you guys! Is it possible to get the certifications and get a job in this field without schooling ?
Thanks for watching! If you watch all of the videos in this playlist, you should be prepared to pass the IT Fundamentals+ certification from CompTIA. As for a job, that really depends on what you're looking for. Good luck!
The basic steps are to launch the file explorer, and then click on "Network" in the left side navigation bar. If discovery is turned off, it will prompt you to turn it on.
Thanks for the feedback! As for your question, it's a bit of a misconception that IT requires complex math. There wouldn't be much that would be a problem in a sys-admin role. However that's not the case for developers/programmers. Those roles require much more math.
Can you please explain packet switching and circuit switching networks to me (in simple terms)? Thank you, ITProTV! Oh also, for ARP, does it convert a MAC Address to an IP Address or the other way around?
Packet switching means that every packet has added information about the source and destination. It allows for devices in between to use that data to forward it from the source to the destination. Circuit switching is predetermining that path from source to destination, the devices along the path do not get to determine how to best forward it to the destination. Also when using ARP as a protocol, it specifically "maps" an IP address to a MAC address. The protocol to do the reverse is RARP (Reverse ARP).
A PSK--"Pre-Shared Key" is used often as a method for authentication and authorization into a device. It is literally, like bouncer at the door of an exclusive party. If you've been invited with a secret phrase, you must use that phrase to get in. If you use it with the bouncer, then you have access. If not, then he bounces you out. If the phrase changes at the door you can't remember it, you still don't get in.

2. On a PC running Windows, what are the steps to search/discover other network devices on your network?
The basic steps are to launch the file explorer, and then click on "Network" in the left side navigation bar. If discovery is turned off, it will prompt you to turn it on.
Hi IT pro TV! Your videos are great! I have a question, what careers does not require math cause I hate math thanks for your great content

@@ITProTv Thank you so much!
What is a PSK network and when should it be used? Can you please explain it to me in simple words :)

@@ITProTv I like the analogy! Thank you so much!
