1stly, I want to say thankyou for your channel, it is a blessing. I have been going through a long difficult battle, and Art's comment 'don't give up, just rest' in a previous video, has stayed with me. I hope you find the right milk cow soon, and you have an abundant and beautiful spring.
I could hear the soothing sounds all around your farm in the background. Birds chirping, singing, and other critters singing out the songs of Spring! So beautiful and pure! Can't wait to see the baby goats.
I enjoy the after-rain feel and smell, also. Plus the birds singing in the stillness is nice, too.. It's funny, i catch myself smiling at Wilder, as if he could see me and smile back...lol. The goats coming running make me smile, as well. You look good, Bri. You look rested and refreshed and ready for your day... Ya'll's garden is looking good, too.... you are right, rain seems to do more for crops than all of the hose-watering in the world..
I’m siting by my window with a cup of coffee looking out at my acre after a lovely t-storm this morning. I love the quality of the light and I’m grateful for everything getting watered. My work was done as I knew the storm was coming. So satisfying! I’m meditating on how God put in us a desire to work the land and even though it is hard work, there is something soul satisfying about it. Thank you, God. I was also reflecting about your little homestead, how hard you labor, but how wonderful to see the kids have freedom to play, learn to care for animals and have time to simply enjoy them. A good day. 😄😄😄💞
My papa always used to put duck eggs under a broody hen. He said they are the better mama's. It was always sooo funny watching the hens trying to teach the ducks to scratch 😁
Good morning how is everyone today? Looks like a perfect day for planting, I love cool, overcast days. Your children are thriving too! Donald is so funny, taking on a goat? Isn’t he used to them by now? Have a wonderful day. Thanks for sharing your morning with us.
Wilder has grown so much. I feel like I have known your family for years. Your channel has built bonds with many people, including me. I hope your goat kids come soon, for their mothers' sake.
I've had success hatching Mallard eggs as well as Magpie. Of course the humidity for ducks have to be higher and I've always cut up a new clean damp sponge and kept it in there for the extra humidity. Good luck & God bless♡
I use that incubator and had good results, I have eggs in mine now. I also have some duck eggs incubating for the 1st time in my other incubator. Cannot wait to see baby goats and your ducklings.
It's beautiful there on the homestead. You're a busy mom with kids, ducks, chickens, and goats. Thanks for the update and for sharing. Ducks in water. What could be better.
Another wonderful day! We recently bought that incubator. We have run it twice and have 10 little Nankin Bantum chicks. We used a large syringe to add the water every other day. I used the dividers for the first run, because we only had four eggs. Second time we had ten eggs and I chose to use the frame and no dividers. I also drew smiley faces on the tiny eggs just so we could be sure they were turning. Thank you for taking us along. God bless you and your family.
I have two of those and they work GREAT! I am hatching quail out again now. I do suggest you get a separate hygrometer there is a slight difference in temperature between the two I have. Also if you plug the little hole in top it does help to keep the humidity pretty consistent. I have a great hatch rate with these.
Hello Bri, I enjoy watching and hearing you. I felt you a little heavy hearted today I'm sorry to say. So Know that we* love you. (*all the folks checking in hoping to see you & you're honest stands on things) You are an inspiration, love what you do & how you do it, so don't give up. My friendliest love to you all, from Montreal.
Bri it is better to break the asparagus from the crown under ground. When you break from where you broke it won't send up new shoots, from the crown it will send up new one. Just put your hand in the soil a little bit and push down and twist back and forth and it will break from the crown.
I had a thought if there are any more duck eggs tomorrow why not put those in Grace's incubator and see which one does the best - there will only be a dayish difference - I know Grace loves doing that and it is lovely to see kids having fun learning
I enjoy your video's so much and You're an amazing mom. No matter how old we get each day is a blessing that and each day we all learn something new as I've always told my children now I get to tell this to my grandchildren . Like now your teaching me about goats along with the benefits of keeping them, keep on making these videos.
Donald keeping the goats in line...lol. Thinks he owns the place. I love the gathering/play space the kids were jumping in. What a fun space to just be a kid in...and dry.
So sweet to see Wilder riding around on your backs. My mom used to carry me as a baby in a metal frame back carrier (back in the 70s). A couple of my first words were the names of their herd dogs as my parents had a herd of Angus cattle when I was small.
Check out your barn ! What a nice place to have morning coffee on a rainy day . Especially if you have some nice lightning and thunder to go with it ! I love a good storm. As long as I am cozy and dry ! LOL
Our first duck eggs are hatching this weekend... lol I was overzealous and started collecting right away... so about 1/2 where infertile.. 😂 But we have 3 Call and 2 Silver Appleyards that’s should hatch. I have another 2 dozen ready to go when these hopefully go to the brooder pen after hatching. Look forward to seeing your review on the new incubator... I’m saving up for a cabinet, as like your daughter mine loves collecting and hatching her eggs. Goats are tricksters in more ways then one! You could swear they are gonna drop their kids one night.... and walk out to the pasture mid afternoon and be greeted by surprise kids! Never a dull moment in spring!
I loved that incubator. I need to tell you one thing. Unless the eggs are flat they will not be turned. I took off the little bar and just turned the eggs myself. Never have hatched ducks, but they need to be turned also. If you take the turner out, make sure you take the metal piece out as well. I broke a couple eggs because it was still there. Was never sure if it was turning the eggs. It is made just to roll them back and forth if they are flat.
We have that incubator and successfully hatched out 6/6 duck eggs! We used it for chicks last year and hatched out 6/6 chicken eggs. We added a little less than 1/4 cup of water every couple of days and that seemed to work perfect.
I have that same incubator and it worked so well for my chicken eggs! You just have to be careful not to over fill them otherwise they won’t turn well. There was a UA-cam review I watched that covered how to use it too. Wish I remember where it was
I had a buff duck bought buff eggs and none hatches. So hard to find fertile buff eggs here. I thought I saw a buff in your duck videos that is so wonderful I hope all yours hatch. Muscovy's take longer because they are actually more of a goose than a duck genetically they have more chromosomes like a goose rather than those of ducks.
I am hatching my first batch of chicken eggs with that same incubator. I could only fit 6 eggs in the turner. It rolls the eggs along the bottom so they have to be sideways. They swell a little bit so i had to give a bit extra room and check a couple times that they were not too tight (candling time). I am interested in if your duck eggs hatch so I can try putting mine upright next time and fit more in the incubator.
We have that incubator. I would suggest you put in a small thermometer/hydrometer in to make sure you are at the right temperature and humidity. Ours is off by about 2% every time in humidity and I've never incubated duck eggs but I have read that humidity is key.
The baby that's at our house the little guy he loves that carrier if he's having an awesome moment or crabby put them in it and they settled right down. How exciting to possibly have baby ducks
What a beautiful day on your homestead. Could you talk about how goats get parasites? On Justin's channel he said the sheep got parasites from eating wet grass? Thanks Bri
We just purchased 2 dwarf pigmys goats & there soo small your videos have always inspired us to have goats & now we do on our little farm they love the chickens & ducks not sure if it'll change as they get older but long story short thanks for inspiring us to have then ❤️😊 if you don't mind could you do a video showing us how to cut there hooves and clean? We have all tools but don't want to do it wrong. The previous owner of our female didn't keep up with her hooves and there all jagged and such were taking her to vet Monday but if we could learn to do then at home it would save us tons of money. Thanks! Excited to see the new goat babies ! 😁
Ligaments are ok to check if they are about to kid but with our Oberhasli we also go by when their udder gets super big. Usually once it’s filled we know we have about 24 hours. Some of your girls are looking a little thin for being pregnant, but I’m used to my obers and Nigerians who can be on the chubby side sometimes lol.
I use this incubator and love it. Humidity was not a problem just add 100ml water every couple of days. Ducks in my opinion are dirty birds so after first time haven't had ducks since. Love my chicks though!!
Is that dirt or poop on the duck eggs ? Have you hatched duck eggs before ? I am sure you know if it is poop, they will explode in the incubator & that is a horrible stench. Such beautiful scenery & so peaceful , thanks for the country walk. Always fun waiting for a delivery.
Love the sound of the water running and the birds singing nice life you have love your family

I like how you pick and eat straight the fresh asparagus. 👍
I’m siting by my window with a cup of coffee looking out at my acre after a lovely t-storm this morning. I love the quality of the light and I’m grateful for everything getting watered. Is so relaxing to watch you walk around your property and just watching the goats forage and do their thing. You are one blessed lady
Calming and beautiful video.
My papa always used to put duck eggs under a broody hen. He said they are the better mama's. It was always sooo funny watching the hens trying to teach the ducks to scratch 😁
Cute to hear Wilder’s raspberry! 😍
You go mama! Putting on that carrier like a pro!
Hold the Walnuts yes! I thought "oh she's done this a few times" lol
What a lovely life you have💗
What a lucky goats , it's such a blessing to live with a lovely family and green refreshing land..
Thank you for taking us a long. It was a beautiful day.
I have that incubator and hatched 9 out of 12 shipped duck eggs in it...worked great
I can so tell you love your goats!

Thank you for a beautiful morning on the homestead. I hope you have good luck with hatching out the duck eggs. Have a Blessed day.
Good morning Bri and family, it is so Lovely to see everything you've doing on your homestead, and I'm waiting for the baby goats coming!!

Southern Belle great advice! Ty!
I use that incubator and had good results, I have eggs in mine now. I also have some duck eggs incubating for the 1st time in my other incubator. Cannot wait to see baby goats and your ducklings.
Donald was so funny taking a big bite as the goats were passing.
It's beautiful there on the homestead. You're a busy mom with kids, ducks, chickens, and goats. Thanks for the update and for sharing. Ducks in water. What could be better.
Loved your video Bri..
Another grate day Bri and kids.I'm really empress with your youngest he is so calm.. just lovely. Thank you and God bless
Your farm is beautiful,
I love your old barns
What I read in previous years is that the minerals in rain cannot compare to what we add and why our gardens flourish after a good rain!!!
Hi Bri, thank you and your family for these vlogs, they are kind of therapeutic to me..it really helps watching your content!!
Ooohhhh I was so excited for baby goats 😍. Baby ducks too 😍. Spring is awesome !!!
Good to see you making a video Bri. It has been a while! Hope your eye is ok. Prayers! 🙏

I have learned so much from you in the years that I am watching your video's. Thank you!!

antio warr I have never heard this. I will check it out, thanks!
Thanks for taking us along. It's was a beautiful day..I want to play in the barn it looked like so much fun....
Ohh I loved hearing the nature sounds when you first were walking the goats.
We love incubating eggs! And ducklings are just the best!
You are good 👍
Thank you for the update Bri, I appreciate it. Donald, lol, he cracks me up. :)
I had a thought if there are any more duck eggs tomorrow why not put those in Grace's incubator and see which one does the best - there will only be a dayish difference - I know Grace loves doing that and it is lovely to see kids having fun learning
Christa Inglis Hers is full of chicken eggs.

Awww... Just LOVE seeing Donald!!!! Good luck on the baby ducks. How exciting!!! You have the sweetest goats and I just love all their names....
We have used that same incubator to hatch out a few batches of quail chicks and have had great success!
Check out your barn ! What a nice place to have morning coffee on a rainy day . Especially if you have some nice lightning and thunder to go with it ! I love a good storm. As long as I am cozy and dry ! LOL
I have been waiting for this video
Good morning to all
My duck eggs are hatching in 3 days yay!!! Excited for your baby duck hatching video
We use the little incubator you’re using right now. It works very well for us.
Good luck with the baby ducks
That was a lovely morning with you thank you.
Jo Jo in VT
Good Morning!! 💕
That's the incubator I use. It's great! it's hatched plenty of chicks and Turkeys...
Little giant and hova incubators have always worked great for me. Usually have a 85% hatch rate on ducks.
I feel the same about rain. Love a good storm
I love watching your farm
Uh, the good life!
Loving your awesome channel. Thanks for sharing. Take care, Steve. 👍👍
So , it holds true for goats as well as cows. The grass is greener and more delicious on the other side of the fence !
It would be awesome if you're able to go live when the lady goats kid!! Thanks for the update❤

Roxy Pittman Thank you!
You're property is so serene !!
💚
We have that same incubator for our quails. It works great if you watch the water level
Baby ducks yeah!!!Donald the goat herder!I love that goose!
Me too!!!!
I had a buff duck bought buff eggs and none hatches. So hard to find fertile buff eggs here. I thought I saw a buff in your duck videos that is so wonderful I hope all yours hatch. Your garden is looking so good! I can't believe you are already getting asparagus out of the garden!
Lumnah Acres Hey! Your goats are looking good!
Yours our too! Can’t wait to see all the baby goats you have this kidding season
this was very nice and chill :)
the weather/greenery reminds me of my area here in vancouver BC (rain-couver lol)

Look like master greens growing along Back driver on your walk hoats and kids.....tc gb
I love your videos Bri! Happy to see yall out running around. :)
When incubating eggs it helps if you spray a 50/50 mix of original Listerine onto the eggs before incubating. It disinfects the outer shell.
Oh! You have to lay the eggs on their sides in that type incubator so they can roll. Sorry didn't notice first time around.
We have that incubator. I would suggest you put in a small thermometer/hydrometer in to make sure you are at the right temperature and humidity. Ours is off by about 2% every time in humidity and I've never incubated duck eggs but I have read that humidity is key.
I own the same incubator, and I can say that it works perfectly!
Also they will bag up typically right before they kid, not always, we had a doe that didn't totally bag up until after the birth.
MsHomesteader Yes, bag up and drop but the ligaments seem to be the sure fire sign that labor is coming.
The baby that's at our house the little guy he loves that carrier if he's having an awesome moment or crabby put them in it and they settled right down. How exciting to possibly have baby ducks
A busy day, but enjoyable for you.x
I think for the auto turner to work the eggs lay on there side not upright. I could be wrong though
What a beautiful day on your homestead. Could you talk about how goats get parasites? On Justin's channel he said the sheep got parasites from eating wet grass? Thanks Bri
You’re going to have to call one of the kids Clover and another Shamrock. They love it so much.
Finally! The kids raising a ruckus in the house. I was beginning to think they weren't normal :)

Great vidso tfs xx
I'm hoping to hear how your eyes are doing, still praying.
TinaMarie Gregory me too. Hoping it’s all okay now. 💕
Another great video. How is your eye Bri.? Hugs and Prayers
I have that same incubator but have only hatched chickens 6 of my 8 hatched :)
How old is the baby now? Sweet.
I miss seeing Brownie running with the goats. He had such a cute personality.
That barn is a real blessing (well they are all great but I meant the "play barn").
Oneda Zinn It is the best part of our property!
Your making Hungary. I just keep waiting for my asparagus to come up. But it just turn cold and rained.
