Obviously! This whole episode was ridiculous! I kept waiting for someone to state the obvious that Buddy should not be wanting a grown man for a boyfriend and vice versa.
You are right! Nancy was with a man Buddy liked without regard about how bad her sister feels. Buddy was infuriated when she found out what Nancy did to her.
Everyone’s hating on Nancy in this episode & I really dislike her character in general for a variety of reasons but Jack is college-aged while Buddy’s in HS....when it comes to guys, Buddy has a stubborn ability to stay in denial. In any case, it’s JACK who needs to stress w/Buddy that they’re just friends & nothing more. The guy has responsibilities in this too!! Who would want to hang w/him anyway? Very “stalker-esque’!”😬
I don't really care for Nancy..I mean her character. She's self-centered. She'll never get her life together as long as daddy and mommie give her everything. We never saw her become a lawyer.
Nothing wrong with them dating. Back then dating didn't mean screwing or even making out. It meant hanging out, going to movies, holding hands and maybe kissing. Buddy wasn't a piece of meat like her sister she had the hots for Jack but if they started dating and Jack suggested sex she'd probably give him the same answer she gave to teejay and Zach - NO!

Wow! It's AJ Simon. Another observation: "You didn't have to get dressed up for me"1...Jeeze Kate. Not every female is tied to their house and cooking for her identity. They have other interests. Some women can even cook, clean, hold down a job, exercise and take care of a family. However, most choose not to waste their time by doing it 4 inch pumps and a fitted dress
Hold The Hell Up! How Did Meredith go from 2 books walking out the library and later one book. Then at 6:56 - 7:06 😂. Then how did Tim's toy go from green to red before Meredith picks up the bag👀
@@theeyeinthesky3854 I agree with you on this one.....Nancy is clearly not interested in a long term relationship with a guy ten years her junior. But, the idea of this guy being with Buddy is even more laughable. Funny thing is that Willie is about the same age as this guy and he gets it on with a number of women Nancy's age and older and he doesn't seem too young for them.
Though I like many of the "Family" episodes, it's episodes like this that I hate; the skanky, trashy ones. Nancy messing around with a guy her own sister likes is contempt on a whole other level. Jerry Springer-level "entertainment" with no redeeming factors. Thumbs down.
Chicks like older guys. Buddy is getting ready to turn eighteen, who is she supposed to date, some high school boy who still lives at home and doesn't have a car and money?
Its funny seeing these guys like simon and simon trying to act interested in little kids just to impress the mother of the kid to try to get into Nancys pants
Jack, you're a little bit on creeper status. Nancy, you think every guy is supposed to want you, Buddy should ignore you for at least another month or two, because you are a skeezer. Creepers and skeezers attract.
Nancy and Jack are both trash. They did Buddy wrong. Buddy should never speak to him again and maybe talk to her sister after 5 years. I'd never trust Nancy ever again.
They should have wrote the script that buddy goes to Nancy's place. Nancy left the door unlocked by mistake. Buddy walks in on the two of them while they are doing it on the living room floor 😂
For some reason, this episode tickles my funny bone because Kristy McNichol and Meredith Baxter are both lesbians, but in this episode they're fighting over a hunky guy? 😅😂
Like the jogging and tennis craze. They knew had to stay in shape in the 1970s. I like that Annie works for Willie. I had a job like that when I was a kid. Not cool that Nancy stole Jack from Buddy. Someone always gets the shaft.
Nancy has no substance...she gets involved with anyone that shows interest in her...she should have set jack from the beginning..she knew Buddy liked that man so, he should have straightened out Buddy too..
🤔 Nancy sounded just like a stepmother at the end of this, a nice and honest one however, when she admitted to Buddy that she envied her, and where she was in her young life, wishing she had a shot at a “do over” instead of how her life ended up.
Buddy had every right to be angry at Nancy for stealing her boyfriend! That is selfish and Nancy got an full from both Kate and Buddy! Buddy yells at her sister for hurting her emotionally!
The worst feeling I had as a sister was when my younger sister started seeing my ex. I felt she was doing it just to tick me off, which it did. We are estranged now and that is ok with me. But I never could look at either of them the same way after that. Nancy and that fellow were both insensitive to Buddy. Buddy always had to play second fiddle to the glorious Nancy. I love this show!
Buddy is about 18 in this episode, she's not a young as people think..Kristy McNichol was small ,petite and young looking. Nancy was a rotten sister and Jack a Jackass for not considering how much that would hurt Buddy. She wasn't a typical girl like he spoke of ...
At the beginning of this show, Doug questioned why Jack has been just "hanging out" with Buddy but hadn't actually asked her out on a date. I think he should have had a father-daughter talk with Buddy before Jack got any ideas for Kate.🤔
Even though Jack was too old for Buddy. Jack and Nancy shouldn't have did that the Buddy. That was selfish of them. Nancy could have stopped it before I got some serious but she was just being selfish and thought of only herself. And she ended up hurting Buddy's feelings and Jack's when she broke it off
I loved it when Kate let Nancy have it!
Buddy didn't love it when Nancy let Jack have it
"What about MY feelings?" That was always Nancy's motto.

libraries move with the times. I am sure some people remember when women didn't get to go to college
... If so, they'd be well over 150 years old.🙄
@@maureenogorman8740 I am sure some people remember when women could go to college and someone else wasn't forced to pay off their student loans
Nancy is selfish!
You are right! Nancy was with a man Buddy liked without regard about how bad her sister feels. Buddy was infuriated when she found out what Nancy did to her.
@@XxowendanxX you’re welcome Troll!
In Pasadena, Nancy is known as The Unibanger
Everyone’s hating on Nancy in this episode & I really dislike her character in general for a variety of reasons but Jack is college-aged while Buddy’s in HS....when it comes to guys, Buddy has a stubborn ability to stay in denial. In any case, it’s JACK who needs to stress w/Buddy that they’re just friends & nothing more. The guy has responsibilities in this too!! Who would want to hang w/him anyway? Very “stalker-esque’!”😬
His baby talk & Bieber hair, yuck. A Mama's boy gone bad!
I don't really care for Nancy..I mean her character. She's self-centered. She'll never get her life together as long as daddy and mommie give her everything. We never saw her become a lawyer.
¨I flip you for it¨ FUNNY
Hey! It’s A.J. Simon!
I uses to love him when l was 11 yrs old
Yes, with B.J. Lawrence
the guy is 21 and Kate calls him a "boy" ... thats to make it seem okay that these wonderful parents let their 16 yr old daughter date a 21 yr old MAN
Back in the seventies that was not uncommon. I knew of several teenagers that dated and even went steady with 20 year olds. No one blinked an eye.
Thank you for posting this. These are the remaining episodes of the series that are not available on UA-cam. Echos of Love says not available in US but I don't think it is available anywhere on youtube.

I loved Annie she was a great addition
Yeah what a wholesome thing. Promoting a child to use a Ouigi board 🙄🙄🙄
@@Liberty6010and9 a lot of us had that game in the 70s. Calm down.
@@lizadivine3785 That's not a game!
Yay! Another Annie fan 🎉😊
Alesiap, You are correct. It is not a game but is spiritually very dangerous for anyone.
Super creepy to show up at Nancy's apartment unannounced. WTF Jack?
No, back then it was just a man being a man ...
Super super creepy
He knew Nancy wanted it
They make a better couple.
Not really creepy,he was just so into her
34:36 that little voice responding "yes mom". 🥰
Yes, that was SO sweet!!👼🏻
These shows were in the 70's when love interest was possible. Now someone might give you the "bug"!.
(31:16-33:21) I'm not too keen on this altogether overused term, but Sada Thompson "owns" this scene.
Sada Thompson "owns" every scene she's in. I love her.
@@imperiallebaron2391 ... As do I.
Sada was a geriatric actress.
She had a beautiful voice!
@@rodneysexton1034 ...At age 52? I think not.
👍🏽💯🤔
Both Willie and Nancy have been with s few partners. Kind of bold for this show😮
Nancy is saying please but still standing there
Nancy sunk low in this episode. It's low even for Nancy. Good ending. Nancy and Buddy are good.
But he wanted her 😂
@ 10:00ish - wow Nancy you really blew it. At least be honest and explain what's going on -- while your SISTER is on the phone with you!!😊
They don't make it clear whether or not Nancy blew it, I think they just had intercourse
Simon & Simon !! I loved him in that.
Hold The Hell Up! How Did Meredith go from 2 books walking out the library and later one book. Then at 6:56 - 7:06 😂. Then how did Tim's toy go from green to red before Meredith picks up the bag👀
Bad continuity editing.
One of the books was "How To Be The Biggest Slut In The World" and Nancy ran back and put it inside when she realized she didn't need it.
That little tune at 14:26, is it the old Microsoft Windows tune?
Nancy verges on the cheap side in this episode.
I would take Nancy in a heart beat. She's a sexy, beautiful and intelligent woman and I like her spunk.
I don't think there is a chemistry between Nancy and the guy in this episode as characters wise
She has no boundaries
Nancy deserves to be yelled at by a furious Buddy!
Though I like many of the "Family" episodes, it's episodes like this that I hate; the skanky, trashy ones. Nancy messing around with a guy her own sister likes is contempt on a whole other level. Jerry Springer-level "entertainment" with no redeeming factors. Thumbs down.
yesorlando05 Yes, Nancy’s relationship desperation always wreaks!!😝
Buddy seems to date much older guys in general when she was older.
...This is true.
👍🏽💯🤭
Chicks like older guys. Buddy is getting ready to turn eighteen, who is she supposed to date, some high school boy who still lives at home and doesn't have a car and money?
It's her Daddy/8-year-older-brother complex.
@@Davey7358 not in this story
No it is the other way around. Buddy thinks every guy is her boyfriend. There is a name for that kind of girl
Nancy and Jack are both trash. They did Buddy wrong. Buddy should never speak to him again and maybe talk to her sister after 5 years. I'd never trust Nancy ever again.
Buddy never spoke to Jack after he cheated on her with Nancy! Buddy found out about it and she was furious!
Looks like Nancy got the shaft this time.
Nancy. Nancy always gets the shaft!
Jameson parker (Simon and simon)
Nancy has no substance...she gets involved with anyone that shows interest in her...she should have set jack from the beginning..she knew Buddy liked that man so, he should have straightened out Buddy too..
Imagine the pretty blond children Nancy and Jack could have had.
Like the Manson family meets the Brady bunch
@@XxowendanxX😂😂😂
🤔 Nancy sounded just like a stepmother at the end of this, a nice and honest one however, when she admitted to Buddy that she envied her, and where she was in her young life, wishing she had a shot at a “do over” instead of how her life ended up.
Yeah, Nancy's life...great career, beautiful healthy child, and drop-dead gorgeous as well as a supportive family. Poor Nancy!!
EVERYONE HAS PSYCHIC ABILITY BUT DON'T NURTURE IT SO, LIKE AN UNUSED MUSCLE, IT WITHERS AWAY.
Us humans have come to rely heavily on our unique reasoning abilities, and have neglected our sixth sense that is innate in all animals.
Buddy is 17,Jack is 21,whats so old about that.. compared to Nancy's 30 and Jack 21!
New low for Nancy 👎🏻
Jameson Parker was fine back then.
At the beginning of this show, Doug questioned why Jack has been just "hanging out" with Buddy but hadn't actually asked her out on a date. I think he should have had a father-daughter talk with Buddy before Jack got any ideas for Kate.🤔
Correction: Nancy, not Kate
Doug should've castrated jack
She said she was 30 but she said she was 29 earlier
Even though Jack was too old for Buddy. Jack and Nancy shouldn't have did that the Buddy. That was selfish of them. Nancy could have stopped it before I got some serious but she was just being selfish and thought of only herself. And she ended up hurting Buddy's feelings and Jack's when she broke it off
I like Nancy. Meredith played her realistically
She did. Meredith was a hooker before she took up acting
