We women don't even give a shit about Ross and Rachel. That was written for the male audience- a geeky guy falling for the popular girl. Its like the fantasy of every guy and that is why people eagerly waited for Ross to end up with Rachel. But the female audience didn't really see any endearing quality in Ross, nor was Rachel anyway as relatable because any average girl would never relate to Rachel's entitled behaviour. This is why Monica and Chandler work better. Because it was a story of two completely relatable characters. Monica was once the fat girl. She still is overshadowed by Rachel and yet provides motherly affection to everyone. And Chandler, even though awkward around women, always managed to be the fun mature character among the guys. Women dream about guys like this. And I am guessing any guy could relate to Chandler. He is a middle class guy with a sucky job. He never thought a wonderful gorgeous woman next door would fall for him. So in all ways, Mondler is perfection.

Chandler was written so perfectly, as a friend, husband and a father, eventhough he was shown as freak who was afraid of commitment. He was the only character who stayed right and perfect.
He was also the one who was the most honest, vulnerable and most aware of himself and others. To a fault 😂

I think they are that much opposites. They both take care about friends. Mon and Chan both have similar parent issues, and problem with confidence in love. Mondler wanted stable live, and they are similar vibe of romantic. Yes they are diffrent but similar too. In compared to other main copules Roschel, and Phoebe and Mike. They are definitly more alike. And I think Chandler always wanted have family. But he scared he don’t deserved to be in love. Joey and Phoebe had more commitment isuess. I think fact Monica and Chandler are similar and diffrent it makes their perfect for each other

I think he really completes her. He makes sure that he understands her insecurities. He accepts that he messed up. He accepts that she couldn't stand the mess and only he can make sure that the mess doesn't bother her. Knowing how her parents treat her, I'm really glad that she found Chandler.
This video showed perfectly how a relationship should be. The love you see radiating off of both Chandler and Monica is incredible. This video was done beautifully, it shows true love. It even made me cry, as Chandler was telling Monica how much he loved her and how he wouldn't change anything. Or how he was telling Erica how Monica was already a mom and telling her "I love my wife more than anything in this world and it kills me that I can't give her a baby." This whole show is amazing but their relationship is always top tier. Matthew Perry was perfect for the role of Chandler. Rest in Peace to Matthew. He will be missed. He played Chandler perfectly. No one could top it.

Watching this after Matthew Perry passed hits different. I thought I had already overcome the loss. I’m sobbing here. It’s really sad to think that Matty’s life was nothing like Chandler’s.
Perhaps it was a bit like Chandler before he felt in love with his friend. But yeah, it really hurts Matthew had not the life we thought he should have had. I'm still sobbing his passing too, that's why I got here too.

I would have loved to see a spin off series with these two raising their children. Could have had episodes were original characters made guest appearances. But I could have watched these two settle into parenthood, learning how to juggle raising the kids, jobs, and time together. But that's just me.

This made me smile, laugh and get teary eyed. Can you imagine how the rest of the cast of Friends thinks and especially Courteney Cox? There was something really special about their dynamics here. It was Matthew Perry who drew me in more than Courtney. There arre all different kinds of love and there was definitely a real love between the two of them in real life. You can see it on the screen. RIP Matty as they called you. You will never be forgotten by anyone.

Growing up in age and as a person is realizing that Chandler and Monica were the real couple of the show, Ross and Rachel were always fighting for everything, but these two were magnificently written, and rewatching these scenes makes you really get to see all the physical changes Mathew faced those years, and knowing everything he went through during that time and how behind Chandler was he just breaks my heart, and the fact that he's gone just makes me have a little smile at each of his scenes. Rest in Peace Matthew Perry, you will be missed bud.

The actually became the strongest link and the center in the whole show because Ross and Rachel were like Mars and Venus, while Joey and Phoebe were more like Uranus and Pluto while Monica and Chandler were like the Sun in the center of everything after season 4 finale and the happy ending was lead by their story.
