Thank you Catherine, I am glad it was easy to follow. It's always great to get that kind of feed back! I always hope that my videos are easy to follow but I never know unless someone comments. Thank you!
Beautiful, Maggi! Love the way you made the closure and the beauty of the distress oxides! TFS the inspiration!

Beautiful job! When I picked up this journal, I was a bit confused about how you loop the elastic with four signatures. I was used to the die with three. Thanks so much!

So love this , just found you and am glad i did ...i have 2 questions plz ..one might be crazy ...1) does the wrap around journal have the pages to cut as well .. i watched this a few days ago ...but am getting the die ..
2) are you related to Ginger from my sisters scrapper ? You have the same mannerisms as her and sound like her a little ..lmk
Love love love your channel
The Wrap Journal does not have the pages to cut but the pages that fit in the Passport Journal also fit the Wrap Journal. Ginger and I are not related but we are friends and have taught together at a retreat. Thanks for watching me and commenting. I really appreciate it!
Maggi, what is the name of your corner punch you are using? It looks perfect for Eileen Hull's dies.
Kadomaru, available on Amazon. It is an awesome punch!
Maggi, I love this and I have this die! I couldn't see what else you inserted for the magnets to cling to...
In the video at about 4:07 you see the magnets on the left side. So for each place where you see a magnet, there are actually two magnets sandwiched together. When you remove the adhesive covering the magnet and press the book closed as I do at 4:17, one of the magnets sticks to the flap on the right side (the flap with the daisy cut-outs) and the other magnet remains on the inside of the front cover thus creating a closure. Hope that makes sense, if not I'll try to explain it further.
@@maggipoodles When I slowed down the video, I saw everything you did with the magnets; and now it makes perfect sense. Also, I forgot that you used the flap on the left for the top of the album. Thank you for taking the time to explain!
Hi Maggi. Love the journal, and so helpful to see the tutorial. It inspired me to have a go as I have the die. I’ve had a problem with the oxide inks rubbing off, leaving pale finger prints on the cover and blue finger tips for me. I dried between colour layers, and used gesso on the blank cover. Any idea where I went wrong? Should I have used a sealer? If so could you suggest one, I live in the UK. Thanks. Pam
Do you mean that the ink is rubbing off after you've dried it? I've not had that experience and can't think why that would happen. You could seal it with a clear drying matte medium, however, that does sometimes cause the colors to bleed a little. The other option is to use a fixative such as Krylon Clear Matte Finish. Really any brand should work, just look for a product that says it is a sealer or fixative for arts and crafts. They come is a matte or glossy finish. I sometimes use this with projects that I've misted to keep the colors from bleeding. Hope this helps!

Yes, I dried it between layers: perhaps I put too much on, I'm a novice at this! But I haven't noticed this problem when I used the inks before. I wondered if the gesso I used interfered with the drying. I'll keep trying, if it keeps happening I'll have to paper over it!
Thanks for your speedy reply.
Pam
It is really perplexing! I've not had this problem and I always use gesso underneath when I am applying wet anything to paper. I don't know if you can use too much LOL! Good luck though, sorry you're having a problem!
Hi again Maggi. I sent my query to Ranger who replied
Dear Pam,
"Thank you for your email.
Yes, that is normal. The inks are designed to always react with water and the moisture on your hands is enough to re-wet the inks.
We recommend Distress MicroGlaze for sealing Distress inks as it is a wax and will not reactivate the inks. "
Just thought you would like to know, and here in the UK we are having a heatwave - hence the damp fingers! Regards
Pam
what size is the finished journal? Love this idea...
Thank you, it is about 4" wide, 5 1/8" tall and 1 1/2" thick when closed up.
Thank You For Your Fast Response To My Question: Love The Idea Of The Wrapped Journal: But would love a larger Journal designed just like the wrapped journal. Except the Size when closed be at least 8in tall X 5in wide 11/2-2in spine when closed that also allows for the wrapped cover section. Even So Will Likely Pick This One Up Thanks again...
Where did you get your distress tool please?
It is a Prima - Ingvild Bolme - Distressing Tool. Unfortunately, I don't think it is being manufactured any longer but you can try searching for it.
Maggi Harding thank you.
