I usually don't comment much but...this is so breakthtakingly stunning. Not only the hard work that's gone into the process, but the final product is incredible. I hope you feel so so proud of what you have made
Congratulations, Bella ! This premiere was magical. I remember, when the Cinderella movie came out, how mesmerised I was watching this beautiful work of art on screen. It was so hard to find informations about it at the time, let alone replicas. I think it was during the summer of 2016 when I found you on Etsy and Instagram ; you were twirling in these enormous petticoats, in a garden, and I thought "Alright ! Something incredible is happening in this lady’s atelier.” (I was so happy to see you comment under my replica, it was something about the first layer of the dress - the silk crepeline.) After a couple of years, you started uploading your Nutcracker Series and little by little, we could see more of your wonderful creations and thoughtful research - and overall great personality. It’s amazing to have creators like you on UA-cam. Watching you create this gorgeous Cinderella gown was a fantastic experience (which my mother shared too, though neither of us are native English speaker - hence my terrible grammar.) This movie came out when I really needed to be remembered that the world can be a beautiful place and I cherish everything about it. Though it might be strange to word it like that, it changed my life in many ways. Thank you so much for sharing this adventure with us. It truly means the world and you look absolutely beautiful in your gown. A true Cinderella - or should I say Cinderbella. And your very own Fairy Godmother ! Looking forward to seeing your dance. Cheers to future adventures ! Lots of love. M.

I hope you're immensely proud of the work you put into this, it really shows. I started giggling uncontrollably once you got the petticoats on, it's that good. I'm glad it's just for you. I don't know how you could ever sell it. All the materials, the hours of physical labor and brain power you put into it, plus the love, care, and completely custom to you fit make it literally priceless in my opinion.

This dress is absolutely magical. The way it moves is incredible. And, having watched the entire series...the sheer amount of work you've put into this dress boggles my mind. And how you've solved all the problems...so very impressive. But the effect is entirely worth it, you've made magic. Great job!

how they went to the bathroom in the real era of this style of gown : their "underwear" if they were wearing ANY, had a hole in the crotch and they would hold a ceramin/porcelain urinal between their legs, under their skirts, relieve themselves, hand the urinal to a servant, adjust the gown, and go back to the dance.
Yes, that's how it would, but this dress is over the top and I didn't want to get into all the details of how it could work...because I would never do it! 😂
Actually, they're called split drawers. There's no hole. The legs are separate. Just lift the skirts and sit on the pot. Squatting was only done outside when no facilities were available. Chamber pots were in the bedrooms, typically held in a lidded box to sit on, which opened for easy removal to empty (the modern toilet prototype). The hosts would have a "powder room" set aside for guests to use. There was also the outhouses (the original porta-potty) located near the home, too.
This dress is absolutely gorgeous! Do you know about how much it cost to make? I'm fairly knew to sewing, but a dress like this would be a dream to make.
