- So you want to use the Seoul subway system, but for some reason it feels complicated and difficult! It's actually very easy and this video takes you through the basic step-by-step of purchasing a subway card, navigating the system alongside a quite sneak peak at Myeongdong's street food.
The subway system is a must know if you are looking to hit all the tourist areas in Seoul without getting stuck in traffic, while the taxi meter is adding up fast than you expected!

Yes me too! I recently travelled to Japan and I found the train and subway system much harder to get my head around.

Hi nice video.. what travel app you use for subway in korea?
It is “Kakao subway”. Korea still have war with North Korea, so if you come Korea, you can’t use “google map”. Koreans use “Kakao map” and you can use it’s family application(?) “Kako subway”. We wish COVID extinct, after the virus gone, than come to KOREA! We’ll always welcome global friends!😆😆

You can also purchase an one-time ticket on the charging (reloading) machine. You put in a deposit of 500 won (less then 50 cents) plus desired amount of money. You get your deposit back when you return the ticket into a deposit refund machine located right outside the gates of any station. Unlike normal tickets, one-time ones are not rechargable and cannot be used again.

I have a (theoretical) route to visit all the Seoul Metro stations, however most of the route I don't leave the system at all. Given that the T Money card isn't unlimited what would I need to do if I actually did this?

00:33 lol the guy in front of the car door is unlicensed merchant 😂 they are hustling around the subway systems selling inferior goods and some people feel sad about them but don’t be. they sometimes get aggressive to passengers so stay away from them and do not touch ANYTHING they give you to try. they will force you to buy it. mostly they are not as dangerous as those hustlers in Europe or America but just stay away from them

I am still confused so like what’s confusing. Me is I didn’t understand the stop thingy is it like 6 stops before u get to that station then. When the line changes to a different color does it mean u have to get off the train and go to another one and when you get out of the train I wish you would have shown the exact way u went to where exit 6 is
When you change lines then yes you will change trains. Because the lines have colours there will be coloured signs to show you where to transfer.

You can buy the card at the subway station, a machine to buy a card. Or go to a convenience store like Gs25 and you can ask for one there!
