Hope you guys had a good day today :) Been playing xdefiant lately a lil bit. Wanted to do a quick video talking about how I feel about the game currently and it's potential future. Have you guys gotten a chance to play it?

day been pretty good, this game is fun its like a more casual COD/Overwatch, but i prolly wont play it for a long time.
Life is good my brotha. Personally, I don't like FPS games so that's a no from me. I'm just focusing on finishing my backlogs, it's ridiculous on how long I procrastinate on playing/finishing them.
i definitely like it but I think they're going to have to put in that post launch WORK to keep this game relevant, im talking collabs, a fair battle pass system and at least for casuals gameplay wise, a mercenary playlist similar to older CoDs that doesnt let people party up and join cuz trust me when i say thats why this game feels so sweaty at times

That game was incredible in it's prime.
I just got another copy of that off of eBay back in April just to play it again
It scratched my twitch-arcade shooter itch, so I'll give them that. Network issues need to be solved, though.
I just think the fps industry needs a simple old school fps shooter without all of the weird abilities…like what’s wrong with just having a dude with a gun and a grenade…if you have good level design and a gun in your hand you don’t need all the bells and whistles
the question is what developer is willing to do it? and will it be of actual quality and be supported
the problem with that is if it aint similar to COD in some point it gets trashed.. every shooter gets compared to cod and if its not like it people want things in it so it plays like it... like if u want cod then just go play cod thats the problem

I hate to say this but I think we all are over estimating our skill when we complain about every lobby is sweaty. Especially when xdefiant has no sbmm. Now days people are alot better.
I just boil it down to I’m too old. I’m in my late 20s full time job with other responsibilities I don’t have time to get good at shooters like I used to when I was young. It’s harder to keep up with kids where the game is literally their life.

I like it. It scratches that COD itch that plays likes COD and for when I'm in a shooter mood that doesnt take up 1000 gigs lol. I always had COD uninstalled because of its ridiculous install size. This is around a cool 30-40 gigs, quick games, straight forward gameplay, easy to pick up, free, worth checking out.
The one thing i will say about that is that you can take a huge chunk off by uninstalling warzone and single player campaign

I really miss golden eye and halo 1 shooters where we just dicked off and just were having fun not really trying to be a try hard type where u play almost an exact copy of your self because of different algorithms

The hit detection can be off but that can be fixed, for the most part I'm enjoying this.
This game is pretty fun so far. I feel like if Ubisoft wants it to last long they need to focus on maintaining the game to actually be fun. Adding new games modes, new maps, keeping it balanced, etc. but knowing them they might mess up something lol
I think I heard they’re adding search and destroy soon.
Downloaded it today and actually had a bit of fun on it, hopefully it gets the support from the devs

No joke, I completely forgot the Finals was even out. The only multiplayer games that have held my interests month after month are Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and Guilty Gear Strive.
Dawg...... if i t wasn't for fighting games I probably wouldnt be playing any multiplayer games like that really. Fighting game have saved my multiplayer itch
Tekken 8 had me grindingggggg. First time ive ever fully gotten into a fighting game. Got to battle ruler.

its a fun time. definitely better with friends. Not perfect by any stretch though
I definitely agree lol much better with some friends but even solo it can still be a good time until u end up in one of those lobbies that’s just sweaty as hell. Aside from that and getting killed as if u were hit with a curved bullet from “wanted” lol the game is cool. Now I’m just waiting for some new guns and maps.
Just new content in general because it also needs more modes.
I’m liking this game a lot. Like damn it took me off Stellar Blade cuz I’ve been feigning for that multiplayer itch and I’m not fighting for my life like I do in cod.
The finals is lit. Love that game. Haven't been this in love with an fps in about a decade. 😀 I will admit solo experience is far from the best.
I think a part of the issue is how each fps game nowadays seems to focus on twitchy fast paced movement mechanics. Halo 3 for example had slower paced movement and this allowed for a more casual laid back experience, imo.
Star wars hunters had me yesterday 10 hours on the couch
It’s not a terrible game, just has some hit detection issues. But it’s good for that quick action. We’ll see when it’s up against black ops 6, most of the hero stuff is from blacks ops 3 and 4
This game has the potential to be something special. It has one of the purest forms of that breakneck fps actions that reminds me of the MW2 and BO1 days. HOWEVER......the network and hit detection issues are going to BURY this game. I had a high opinion on the game at first, but it's been unplayable recently, uninstall ensuing. This has been one the best and worst shooter experiences I've ever had.

I don't mind hero shooters honestly. I've been playing Overwatch for like 8 years. So long as it ain't battle royale, or tactical shooters, I'll try it lol.
Also I don't mind skill based matchmaking. It just needs to be balanced. Don't put with me timmy no thumbs, or mlg pros lol.

The last fps I played was overwatch 2. It was fun but part of it felt lackluster .
i kinda get your point that games should have a casual option but also at the same time, if you're getting annoyed about losing because you don't want to try every single match... those 2 things contradict each other like you can't just be like "oh i dont wanna try this round" but still get turned off by the game when you lose. When it comes to the abilities in this game, I think these are much less invasive than other games, it adds fun little layer to what would just be a cod clone without taking away from the focus on gunplay.
I've been having fun on this game and honestly can't wait for ranked play to drop, to me I kinda feel like if im not grinding for something on a multiplayer game, I might as well get off and experience a single player game when i don't feel like sweating

I tried Xdefiant and didn’t like it. Played like 2 matches and uninstalled 😂. Trying to hop back into BF5. Started getting tired of The Finals and BF2042.
I don’t like the hero powers thing either. I miss just standard classes like BF3&4. Or the old CODs.

We’ll never get another genuinely grounded shooter. Industry is too far gone.
Why would you want one? Those shooters have long been played out, sci fi shooters have always been better

Yea this game doesnt have SBMM, it only matches players off of internet connection, whether ur on console or not, input delay not skill. Theres zero SBMM, the reason why sometimes it feels like theres sbmm for you is cause the skill level is so much higher compared to the 2010's and because ur playing against PC players too. Aslo yea the hit registration is a little buggy and they said they have a patch coming in the next patch update so it should be fixed / improved.

If you play on console, the best way to enjoy the game is by turning crossplay completely off. I think crossplay between PC and console has ruined PVP multiplayer imo. A good mouse and keyboard player is going to destroy someone playing with a controller 9 times out of 10.

@@JustAnotherVibe it's up for debate, it depends on the game, you can outplay someone in many different ways, it's not just face to face gunning, you can come up on someone from the side and behind.. you can have an item they don't have and many other things
For online I do prefer the players do have very similar hardware with minor differences in customization though, plus other things

Sniper is too OP. Hit registration needs improvement. Still fun tho. It's free. I'm gonna keep playing it till the next battlefield comes out.

The last shooter that actually impressed me was the finals. The destruction in that game is actually really impressive and makes each game feel fresh.

There's no sbmm here man you just need to get batter at the game. I'm dropping multiple 40 or 50+ games in a row and my lobbies don't get overly tryhard. If lobbies in general feel too tough for you then you might be a bit use to getting protected by cod sbmm in that case.
There’s nothing about fps games that appeals to me never enjoyed those types of games but more power to those who enjoy them and the huge player base

If the game has a battle pass, matchmaking will almost definitely suck.
Any sign of progress and the algorithm will tune your next matches to be sweaty as hell so you don’t progress through the ‘content’ too quickly. They artificially extend playtime/engagement.
It’s less to do with fun or competition, and more to do with greed IMO
It's alright. It's just one of those chill games where it's just there. Have a podcast or some videos playing while you're playing it. All this "COD Killer" stuff though is a lie though.

you can kinda blame youtube for the way FPSs are now. Everybody wants to be a twitch star or youtube game uploader. So they post clips of them dunking on people who hold the control with their armpit & drop 100 kill games. Developers had to do something to get people like themarkofj or scump away from those types of people & fight people on their own level

The game is just okay as someone who has turned away from CoD. I do think the wall hack ability just trains people to use bullshit to be decent at the game and i wish the game was more about the gun play then abilities. Thats the reason why CoD went downhill imo. If i wanted to play OW i could just do that.
The last fps that I enjoyed was Star Wars battlefront 2
I got a bit tired of it. The player models are skinny and the guns seem eh. I like the powers a bit but it made me reinstall cod for realism. It feels like a first person Rogue Company

Clones never have any staying power. It's nothing more than a waiting room for Black Ops 6. Ubisoft should be investing more into Rainbow Six. That is their flagship live service game.

I disagree. This has nothing to do with no streamers or UA-camrs, who are actually good at the game. it’s just you have the mindset that you’re not good at the game and other people are and you keep dying a lot if you die more than you kill in any shooting game, it’s going to get boring stupid and you’re going to get mad and complain about how somebody’s cheating or streamer this streamer that just play the game and have fun. Every game has different modes. Stick to the mold that you like to have. That’s chill and have fun. Have fun. It’s all about your mindset. It’s like if somebody comes around and says, yeah I just got a PS five, but you still got a PS4 automatically get out of nowhere and get annoyed because you’re jealous because they’re a bad person and you don’t like that it’s the same thing stop trying to blame other things on why you’re not having fun. You’re not good at game either adapt or play something else but don’t complain or blame anybody else

I was saying while I was playing that I think it would be a better game without the abilities. I had some fun with this game, it is nice to play a game where when you have a good game you aren't thrown into hell lobbies the rest of the day. Idk how long this game would last tbh, it doesn't feel like there is anything to really earn besides the gold camo, it feels like levels mean nothing in this game.

Im a Madden and fighting game guy. Injustice 2 , DBZ fighter Z, mk 11, fight Night Champion Edition. Shooters are very repetitive imo thats why they fizzle out so quickly. Your right, the finals was on everybody's radar but they all feel similar so they fizzle out fast 💯 oh can't forget about final fantasy remake, I love that game, didn't care for rebirth at all though.Jedi fallen order and survivor are incredible as well. Im waiting for Sparking Zero in October 2024.

The finals actually has way better gameplay then Xdefiant you dont get hit regs it feels more smooth and its not a hero shooter. issue is that peoples favorite streamers arent playing the finals and when try and mention for them to try something new like the finals they try to be ignorant and not explore. Plus embark needs to advertise the game way better.
The finals did not feel smooth on console. Clunky is the word I would use to describe the match I played
@sk84lyfe1211 that must of been just a match thing it's not perfect def buggy once in awhile and the game crashes a lot on pc but overall it's a way better built game by a smaller group of people
