Criminally underrated game.
It is so sad to know that they won't be doing any other witcher tale game soon because Thronebreaker didn't sell well.... The story was beautiful, soundtrack on point, hard decisions to make, a great game...

I never even heard of Thronebreaker till my Witcher 3 Playlist autoplayed onto an ost.
So I think it was a marketing issue

Especially when you upgraded it so that it hits almost every unit in the line most of the time.
You just have to make sure that you use the card around the beginning so you can get the maximum profit of it.
But not too soon, or the enemy just avoids the flames.
@@usaku9851 Yeah I agree. I like to wait until the opponent commits minimum 3 units on the board before dropping the fire force. I also don’t mind picking them up during my cycle though during the late game for extra points.

The fight of Meve against Aep Dahy is beautifully expressed by the battle of two themes in this song :)
Especially if you follow the route of when she's more compassionate and finds her son dying from stab wounds after he opened the gates for her. This song symbolizes her wrath and want of justice on the man who led the Nilfgaardians who killed her child.

I really wanted so many people to appreciate such a game since its nicely made but little amount of attention.
Its really underrated. most people dont have the attention span to play a card game with story, they're missing out
@@123wahooguy I just hadn't heard it until an ost showed up in my playlist. Needless to say I finished it, beyond great voice acting and story.
Cyberpunk got all the marketing money at the time when Thronebreaker was released

I bought the game not expecting much. It ended up being one of my all time favourites. Story, music, characters, choices and consequences, everything was perfect. It's such a shame that's it's so underrated.

@@drdramatik just forgot about it. Gameplay was nice. Going around the map finding treasures and quests, other than that it was mostly Gwent. So I guess if someone doesn't like card games they won't like it. But it wasn't bad.
@@wiktorija3 I would have to disagree, for me the gameplay was by far the weakest aspect of the game. The exploration part was the most boring, picking up wood and coins, but the Gwent matches were sometimes really annoying, sometimes really obtuse too, and I have hundreds of hours on the Gwent standalone game.
@@drdramatik well I didn't mind the gameplay. Maybe sometime it would get a bit boring but I thing they rest makes up for it. But I understand that it might not be to everybody's liking. Still I think people should give this game a try

Honestly one of my favourite tracks in any witcher game. This fucking score was incredible overall but this one in particualr had me so fuckin hyped!
That, and Meve starting the fight murderously livid and just outright yelling up the castle that she'll stick aep Dahy's head on a pike.

They won't, sadly, Thronebreaker didn't sell that well so CDPR scrapped the Witcher Tales series

To give you guys a little except:
"Despite generally positive reviews, the title did not move the needle as the studio presumed it would. Within weeks of its PC release, CD Projekt spoke of the game’s failure to meet sales expectations in an earnings call."
Additionally:
"Might this Gwent-centric RPG see the series further explored in a potential sequel? According to developers from CD Projekt RED, the answer is a simple “no.”"
They've also discontinued support for the standalone Gwent card game on PS4 and Xbox One as of December 9th, 2019, due to lackluster participation and sales on that front.
Long story short: CDPR is only after the money, not the art the games made. Cyberpunk 2077 is perfect evidence of that.

Only had Isabela. Didn't really use her, just picked sythmen and sword and buffed the shiet out of them.
Found they didn't actually help as much for me. Wasn't taking enough damage. Had to make due without them.
Nothing beats seeing the opponent thin his deck out of a 75 point card 3 turns after you passed.
I absolutely love this track
When i play gwent ranked and go for some shieldwall i always use the thronebreaker soundtrack, especialy this one... LET THEM BLACK CLADS BREAK UPON MY BODY, FOR LYRIA AND RIVIA!!!
And when I do, I always draw the perfect cards 😌

Kicking the ass of Nilfgaard has never been so satisfying! The irony was, as in The Witcher 3; the Empire crumbled, not because of the War casualties, or military proficiency, but because of it's administrative tasks & payment fees, in order to sustain an army.
Uhhhh, hate to rain on ur parade but, if u dont kill radovid then he CRUSHES Nilfgaard, it has nothing to do with costs....but Emhyr
@@aarongillard2615 Radovid was still a kid under the regency of Philippa Eilhart by this timeline; And in terms of endings, you'd think Radovid winning this war, would finnish the conflict in the long run against the Nilfgaard Empire? Even if Emhyr was deposed/killed, whoever controls the Empire could prepare another invasion 5-15 years later...
@@City-Hunter Your original statement was about the Witcher 3 and then you go on to talk about Radovid in the time of Thronebreaker. Radovid would win the war against Emhyr through strategy and conflict if he is left alive in the Witcher 3. As for Thronebreaker, yes it is difficult and expensive to raise all the armies Nilfgaard uses, which is why they had to win quickly and decisively to force treaties out of Henselt, Foltest and Radovid. This is also why Novigrad is so important during the war in the Witcher 3.

this fight is so fun if you DON'T have Eyck or Isbel on your team, otherwise its a walk over.

@@tiagomaia6730 aretuza adept on reinforced ballista,and summon them with reinforcements,seize bronzes with gernichora's trophy,muzzle and again muzzle with armorsmith ,and skeligge warriors with dagur beat easily.But i struggled with not enough place for units so much :D.But of course with skellige bronze unit who's take damage from opponent i kill them for open place.
They don't really help that much, though? Main issue with Aep Dahy is that his fucking 90-card deck and auto-replacing means he'll always have both rows full with high-value stuff on the decisive round. He's not doing that much damage to your side, so Eyck and Isbel won't hit that hard on top of killing his cards being mostly counterproductive.
What you need is a way to do controlled damage and leave his cards weakened, but alive. Or alternatively break things by getting your own side immensely buffed up with Reinforcements/Adept/Alchemist/Forager shenanigans.
Man I remember using Eyck so much. The Dragon and Bridge fights were so epic

They were great and I wish that you had the patience to do more of the songs as long versions (most of the songs in youtube or anywhere are just 3 minutes long) as your versions are really what make the songs come to life!

Thronebreakers is really awesome , in some instances a bit boring with dialogues you pretty much dont care in random situations , but its a great game nonetheless

i played the games , to be honest the game play didn't have anything challenging i even played hard mode , the cards not fitting togather , there's no alot skills in card , no card combination , it's confusing somtime to understand whats going on if u don't read the card well , i couldn't updragde my camp properly and the game ended already , there was alot missing upgrades , they need to improve it
