My 6S Kraton had this same problem. I found that if you remove the wheels and loosen up those red hub carrier hex screws a little bit, you'll get smoother steering. You gotta find the sweet spot where the carriers aren't too loose (you might get too much play in the hub) but not too tight. If they're too tight, you'll be putting too much strain on the servo!!! Check it out bro and let me know!!! Good luck.

LOL at the comments about getting debris in there. This worked like a charm on both my 6s kraton and 8s outcast thanks a lot. Just a lil of WD40 freed up the steering sooo much. Saved me a TON of time and money.
If it's tight, Lube will make it right! 😂 Good old WD 👌 There's number of things that can cause it, Pillow balls, water in sealed bearing & knackered bearings , linkages, hub carriers etc.... Process of elimination. Glad its working fella & thanks for sharing 🙏

Nice easy fix, it's really cool how a tiny mod can fix stuff, btw fixed my squeaky suspension as well :) just loosened the shock bottom screws half a turn

I’m definitely going to try this on my k8s. Just got one last week and mine is doing same thing and steering won’t turn far and won’t center itself either.
Bro I’m still having this issue, I got another servo plus a hot racing servo saver & hot racing bell crank. When off the ground it’s so amazing full turns L/R but when it’s grounded if it turns a fraction it might not turn the other way at all. And my pivots are not tight. Bout to send it back to arrma in pieces!!!! U have any solutions???
Take it apart gapp there are bearings in the stearing rack you may have a bad bearing it should move real easy when you disconnect the leakage something is wrong👍
If you only could get one car, which would you choose out of the Kraton 8s or the Kraton EXB.. was thinking by the time you purchased everything that you need for the EXB you gonna be near or more then the Kraton 8s?
James Turner I say go kraton 8s or wait a few weeks and get the outcast 8s over the EXB because like you say after putting all the stuff in the EXB you will be about 1000$ if you put good Electronics in it👍🏾💯 Rcfam4life

Nice temporary fix. IMHO, once you go through dirt and grass, this problem might get worse with time since WD40 attracts dirt. The better solution is an aluminum upgrade. That's were I'm heading. What do you think? Thanks for the video 👍
Mine still running fine I have run it about 30 times and it's still running strong but that upgrade sounds great let my know if it's hard when you do yours
@@GAPreviewsAtoZ I'll be honest with you bud. My front bulkhead on my K8S and my rear bulkhead on my Outcast 8s have to be upgraded to aluminum also (Vivaton) so those are more important than the steering. Actually I checked it today and it wasn't hard 😂
