  • Well, went and did something I shouldn't have. I had already bought the combine kit and built it previously and am really happy with it and figured I'd show it off. But I ended up buying some bigger scale products while at the rocky mountain train show. Mainly the G scale caboose, On30 trucks for the combine, HO track, and the last thing an On30 2-6-0 locomotive. The hope is to one day get the On30 running around the ceiling, not sure which room yet but that is a project for the future. But I couldn't pass on the deal that was the locomotive.

Thanks Jerry! I hope that I can find a few more of the passenger kits that won't cost an arm and a leg. The one's I've found haven't been cheap.

      @@Caboose121 who makes those kits?

The original maker was 'Star Models'. Another company, wiseman model services, is producing cars based off of them but made with resin. La Belle Models makes them in wood still. But both run $80-100 for the kits then trucks and couplers are seperate. That kit I bought I was able to get for $30, I wish I had grabbed the other two that were at the show a few years ago but I was worried not everything would be in the kit.
