A channel dedicated to model railroading, specifically N Scale, and the model railroad shows I've been a part of. As time has progressed I've also started to add railfan videos as well.

Late Night Hobbies First N Scale Building Build
Переглядів 11119 годин тому
I was lucky enough to have been sent this building from Joey over at Late Night Hobbies to be a test subject for how it went together and my overall thoughts on the building. I know I say it far too much in the video but it is an amazing building. Easy to build, quality is outstanding, and it doesn't have the same cookie cutter look that other buildings seem to have. I'm really happy to have th...
Canyon Therapy Episode 60 Chasing the Big Boy into Utah 2024
Переглядів 1,7 тис.День тому
Made the trek up to Wyoming on the 4th of July to spend a good portion of the day chasing Union Pacific 4014 the Big Boy into Utah. I was able to catch it in a few good spots but unfortunately with something as amazing as this locomotive there were a lot of others out chasing it as well. We start at Wahsatch, move down to the top of Echo, then just outside of Croydon near Devils slide, the rest...
Wasatch N Scale Inline Yard Build Part 2

Here is the next video in the series for the inline yard. Trackwork is coming along nicely with only a little bit of track to still put on, at least the track that we planned to do in the short time we had to build it. #railway,#railfanning,#railroad,#railfan,#trains,#modelrailroad,#modelrailway,#modeltrains,#nscale
Wasatch N Scale Inline Yard Part 1
Переглядів 39521 день тому
Since I'm a glutton for punishment I offered to help build an inline yard for the model railroad club I am a member of. The reason for this was to allow us to have a yard when we couldn't bring our normal yard to shows. It has been completed and has worked really well if you've see some of my recent train show videos and a few live streams but I had already been filming updates and figured I'd ...

Looking very good
Nice color choices, and nice kit!
Thanks!
Very cool, I hope it see her one day.
I’ve never tried any kind of decoder install other than a simple drop in replacement. This looked pretty complex. Why did you have to remove the wheels?
Some of the sides went into the metal chasis and I had to remove them to get the motor out to get the motor wires soldered on. I really didn't want to but couldn't avoid it in this instance.
That’s a nice kit, what led’s did you use?
a.co/d/08kmLJC5 I used the golden yellow from this. You can get them seperate as well though. I just formed them and put some super glue to make them look the way they did then painted the outter part black to finish the look.
Why does 4014 have that diesel when it has PTC installed on it?
Braking and that is about it. The steam crew has been very open that they will continue to use a diesel to help keep the brakes on 4014 as long as they can.
Very 😎
That kit turned out really nice. I have one right here next to me that I need to get working on, if life would slow down long enough for me to breathe..
I know the feeling! I'm hoping things calm down here in a bit for me lol.
Am I late?
Nah right on time lol
Great vids , I really dig your camera views without all our fellow foaming friends standing way to close to the main line. I'm curious about the grainers there pulling ? And I really enjoyed it rolling by at speed with no dern steam whistle lol. That consist sounded so clean and smooth rolling by at speed great job TY!
Thanks! I tried my best to keep people out of the clips but there was a few spots it was unavoidable. I'm not too sure about anything with the cars that it was pulling.
@@Caboose121 😎 thanks again
I like that pale gray blue (70-907) , this looks like a nice kit. The lights were a neat touch.
Thanks Jerry! I just need to get everything hooked up.
Nice kit…Nice work 👍🏽
Thanks 👍
Looks great!
Thanks Dennis! I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Caught it in Laramie on the 30th. When did it pick up the diesel locomotive?
I'm not quite sure when they added the diesel to the consist.
Isn't it funny how people can watch this and be non-pulsed? I love 2014 but the videos are getting SERIOUSLY old.
Thanks for sharing Cameron!
Thanks for watching!
Nice done video :)
after sitting in the cab of the 4014, what feelings or thoughts do you get when you see her roaring down the line? hard work yes but I just picture the crew with the biggest smiles ever on their faces.
After that amazing opportunity it makes it just the more exciting to see it actually running. I'm lucky in that they've taken this route as often as they have to be able to see it multiple times. Its hard not to smile when 4014 goes past as well!
Wish I was closer and I'd make the trip :) thanks for sharing!
🤜🤛👏👏👏👏
Oh wow 👌 fabulous thank you so much great footage 😊
Steam trains absolutely fabulous 👌
crossing the state line at Wasatch and entering Echo Pass.
Very cool! Wonder what's in those boxcars and hoppers?!
Metric sized post holes
I'm guessing that train is bringing its own supplies
Hey Cameron that was a good chase. It was pretty cool they had some freight on the train. I did notice there wasn't one piece of graffiti on those cars😂😁🤔
Thanks Jerry! Yeah this time around they sent the passenger cars to California early. I also noticed the patching and joked about it with the group I chased it with 😆
@@Caboose121 Ah, they sent them early. I knew they were going to get them at some point, and was wondering where they were. Thanks!
DPU????
It is mainly used for breaking to help prolong the life of 4014's breaks. And a "just in case" as well.
Old Man looked great today at Echo and Morgan! Great catch!
Thanks! It was sure an awesome sight.
Cool!
That is a really good idea for using a switch on a switch. So simple! 😂 Nothing complicated to throw power and make a signal light.
Can't take full credit as others have used it before me but I figured it worked
Looks really nice! If you do end up doing a passenger platform, remember to triple-check the clearance! We've had a few platforms that caught the edge of certain locomotive pilots, cars that wanted to "slide" across the top of the platforms, etc. Also make sure the roof can handle the largest piece of freight equipment (doublestack containers and/or an autorack). Ask me how we learned those lessons. =P
This comes up in further videos. Even though I did plan it there were a few issues with Kato's Big Boy that I need to address with the platforms lol
Neat
Love It Caboose121 . You have done a fine job, with Bob.
Everyone seems to like it when we use it.
The Club Your In Is Named Bob???
No, thats the club member that was helping me.
Where can I get the Loco Schematic you are using? What is the correct DCC Decoder for that Loco? Links?
The schematic came with the set I'm not sure if there is one out there for it. As for the decoder I used a digitrax DZ123 for it. I dont think there is a "correct" decoder for it just whatever fits.
@@Caboose121 Why don't you take a sharp photo with your phone and post a link to download it, that would be cool, I have the Loco and tender but No Schmatic.
Really well shot scenes and great camera work! Keep it up.
Thanks!
Don't you hate it when you're trying to film a video, and someone shorts out the layout? The PFE train would have made my dad happy, he loved those! Looks like lots of fun was had. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah every now and shows it happens lol
Wow, this one is old. That's pre-ballast on my modules.
Yeah I have a few older ones in the pipeline.
Great install! Much better than my adventure with an N-scale steam decoder. It was a Bachman consolidated that ended up in the dumpster as I recall!
Yeah it was a slight test of patience. Waited until I had a day I knew nothing was going on to do the install so I wouldn't get distracted lol
Nice ,glad you got it squared away, cool little steamer
Yeah I'm glad it worked out. Need to run it more often.
Awesome. Thank you 🙏
Very cool, thanks for sharing Cameron!
Amazing place. I’d love to see it someday. Thanks for sharing. 😀
I like that EMD flared SD70MAC and SD40-2 combination from the beginning 👍🏾
Agreed, it was nice to catch them together.
Cool!
Very nice 👍
sweet train and a nice run :)
Thanks For Sharing!
I know a guy that’s been building one of these for a long time. He keeps 3D printing and printing. I am glad to see you running yours. His os going to be Angle Green
Was gonna say needs moar tanks! And then BAM a lot more tanks! Thanks.
Awesome!
