However I considered Whitney to have possessed the biggest and most spectacular gift of all and all of her vocal ornaments were absolutely stellar.

Almost a capella. She sings this with such pure tones , never reaching , just flows . Incredible talent . So brave to sing with no help from the band. In 3:56 to 3:59, one of the backup singers sang "You give love love, honey" instead of "You give good love, honey". Whitney heard that mistake and looked at them to signal that she was aware of it -- but the error didn't throw her off her game and focus. Singing 100% live, Whitney effortlessly took the coloratura soprano pianissimo part in that complex tail-end harmony. She was so good. A true master at the precise and delicate art of singing. And what's incredible was that she was only 20 or 21 years old in this video.
