    Got the same case last week. I will be ordering the rest of the build in a couple weeks. Im going with a 7800x3d, 32gb dd5 and a 7900xtx. Looking forward to going AMD as it will be all new to me. I have had ATI card....9800XT, does anyone remember that one, how old are we haha.

    I have this case and used it as a portable pc. Best advice i can give to anyone, cable management is tough and please be patient as you build. I was able to fit the 360mm Arctic liquid freezer iii inside it but there are complications. Because i used an ATX power supply, it limits the gpu i can put inside it to only a two fan card design. The rear fan i had to take out and install on the outside of the case because of the AIO tube clearance, on top of it all i will say if you dont have custom cables making it easy to bend, certain defualt psu cables may be difficult to use because of the angles. If you go for any large AIO make sure you are getting an SFX power supply to try and make more clearance or just stick with the 240mm aio's. Oh last thing, depending on what motherboard you have it might only have 1 or 2 fan plugs on it so get a fan hub if you can fit it inside. Last bit of advice to anyone building, Patience is key and RTFM for everything 😂

    • @jordanash
      @jordanash  4 місяці тому

      Yeah I think I mentioned in the overview that it can fit a 360mm AIO but that's on the basis of it being standard thickness, unlike the Arctic.

      @@jordanash exactly. The mistakes I made are on me because I should have done a bit more research on people building in it and their experience. I did my own and only when off specifications. Everything fit but I had to improvise a few times. Main mistakes on my end were just parts that I picked were a bit tricky to get everything working together

    Great review and build video! I got this case and motherboard based on your review, got a custom made clear side panel, really nice case. The front ports make it for me, not many cases have front usb anymore, on the side isn't ideal. I'd like to see your thoughts on aio vs fan cooling... I went for a noctua cpu cooler, I feel that water cooling is still air cooled anyway if you think about it.

    • @jordanash
      @jordanash  3 місяці тому

      Thank you! Ah, they have a side panel version now, hopefully, you saw that before you got yours made.
      I like AIOs for SFF builds generally, as long as the case says support for 240mm AIO you don't need to think about compatibility then. Also, I also consider the CPU you're using compared to the amount of air coming in.
      For example, if there's no intake but you're using a mid-tier CPU, I'd use an AIO as you'll have a bigger surface area plus two fans, over using a top-down cooler with a single fan.
      I get what you mean with the air cooling, but that's just the fans cooling the rad. From what I've seen (except BIG air towers like the Noctua NH-D15, AIOs generally keep CPUs a lot cooler, they are more expensive for the most part though.

    I got only two fans in mine AP201. I'm even using the same water cooler up at the top sucking any heat out the top through the radiator. Under cinebench23 the hottest I got was 90 degrees for about 45 seconds then the rest of the time it maintained around 62 degrees. You don't need all those stupid fans. The case is completely "mesh". You don't need any intake fans. The case is the intake. I forgot to mention. I have a 12900k and a rtx 4080 super running on a 850-watt psu with "load intel limits by default" set in the bios

    • @jordanash
      @jordanash  3 місяці тому

      You can get away without any, but I build these videos for the majority of viewers who would like their case to have some airflow. Also, some people wouldn't like to make a PC without fans as they might worry it will overheat, so fans give peace of mind. Don't worry, there's a reason for adding the "stupid fans" 😉

    I wish I'd listened more carefully. This case will absolutely NOT take anything bigger than 55mm (max 60mm) TALL 280 AIO (140mm wide). Mine is 65mm tall and it's dead weight. This is using m-atx board with cpu ports at the top.

      Yeah the Arctic 280mm AIO is 38mm thick plus the 25mm fan so it's a bit thick but will fit depending on "certain" mb vrm heatsinks. Some vrm heatsinks are too tall for that AIO setup.

      Nope, guessing you've not been on my channel before because we don't hide issues here, look at my second most recent review of the Tecware case. At launch, Starfield was like this for *every* GPU I tested. I covered the AMD 7700/7800XT and Arc A750/A770, and it was the same issue for those too, very poor FPS. Not a single GPU I tested at Starfield's launch got over 60FPS in 1440p high, it was very poorly optimised at launch.

    Bottom fans are useless, they are interfering with gpu’s fans crating turbulence… I have the same case with 4090 and no bottom fans and great temperatures and airflow

      Was trying to get some more air to the AIO mainly. Also, If I didn't add any in the bottom, people would complain about it, so that's another reason why.
