"You can actually see the nails". Nails? Who TAF attaches a deck to the house with nails?!?!?!
Correct me if I am wrong, but aren’t open decks supposed to be built with a 1/8”/36” lean towards an outside corner for water run off?
You put a space between the deck boards for drainage.
No flashing will rot that deck and house within a few years.
Worked at a campground for several years. Have seen decks built that would give an inspector a stroke.
That thumbnail. Hilarious
Gotta keep snow drifts off decks One lady/ family put a small pool not one of those kiddy wadding pool on her deck and wondered why it sank
2x6 joist is a no no on that span.
Yeah I noticed that right away too. The fact that it's attached to the house with nails has got to be the stupidest thing ever though.
How old is this structure
It’s easy to say replace.
Deck is so old
1 of the easiest damn things to build!!! DAMN...
This is obviously a non-permitted Bootlegged piece of junk. Contact the City Building Department to Red Tag and begin Requiring Removal by the Owner.
home inspectors are fucking rocket scientists lmfao
It's clearly old, genius
My deck is nearly 30 years old and doesn't have any of these problems. Because it was built correctly in the first place. This is an absolute joke!
