AK Lectures! I know you may not be having major views at this moment, but the few who are just now are very grateful!// A medicine studying subscriber
Remli Yusupov Thank you for the kind words! Appreciate the sub! :-)
Same here. These are by far high quality on the point videos and I know you are new, but I have recommended this channel to all my friends. Glad to be part of AK lectures :) A Pharmacy student.
Laila Samadi Welcome! thanks for the kind words!
Excellent videos. I sometimes wonder if you get sufficient oxygen for aerobic respiration during these lectures ;). PS: small error at 4:00, you say 'low' Km where you mean 'high' Km (i.e. low affinity). Many thanks for your work!
robert fransdonk Thanks Robert! :-) And yes, I meant to say a high Km. I will put in an annotation for that.
I just want you to know there are many molecular biology students who are very grateful for these videos! THANK YOU! :)
The ending of the video really made everything make sense for me. Finally I understand what Km and Kcat mean!
awsome teacher...
I've been introduced this channel to my classmates and it makes our discussion easier -veterinary student
You saved my biochemistry exam, thank you!
I wanna cry, thank you very much... I didn't appreciate it this much till I watched this.
It took this video only a few minutes to teach me what took the book hours. Thank. You.
Thank for your lecture. These videos help me a lot
Thank you! This makes me understand my intro graduate classes so much better! You're allowing me to study smart which saves me so much time!!
So many k's but your videos are very eloquent and super useful! Thank you!
Really excellent a teaching way it is, I will keep going with all u sir this series of lectures, thanks a lot!
wonderful explanation, thank you
Wow. just wow. Thank you for another nail in the coffin.
Thank you! Very clear and to the point.
Very nice explanation....
great lecture! thank you so much!
Awesome. I get it now.
Beautiful!
Thanks a lot.
Thank you so much!!
thank you so much sir
I had a doubt, we assume that low km means high affinity between substrate and enzyme on the condition that k-1>>>>>kcat. But at the end we are saying that low k-1 will lead to high catalytic efficiency of enzyme. I am confused. Please help 😊
i think even under the first consideration the enzyme efficiency still revolves around lower K-1 value i.e lower the k-1 value lesser will be the dissociation of ES into E and S and lower is the Km value.
No need for a further studying or repeating after that ! :))
7:58, Brownian Motion strikes again lads!
Kcat/Km at 1:50
Just got out of my final and was trying to visualize this board, I fucked up and thought km/kcat measured efficiency instead smh
Hopefully you still did great!
