Thanks, Kaya. I haven’t had any issues with it, and in all honesty, I think the whole si in quick detailers is a gimmick. I’m not slating the product as it’s very good!
Great video as always Harper! Ccan i claybar my windscreen and all of my windows ? should i buy mild or hard clay from Gyeon or Shiny Garage ? Any tip will help because i got some weird water marks on the glass :d
Yeah you can. Glass is very hard so would be able to take a hard clay, but I always use a soft medium clay as I rely on chemicals. The back window will be covered in iron so use an iron remover first 👍🏼
Hi Jorge, I’m not to sure what brands they use in the states. A basic Karcher or Nilfisk would do the trick, or a Kranzle K7 for every day use. That’s what I use
I’ve seen a lot of you’re videos and I wanted to know what is you’re mixture that’s you use when you clean piano black finished in the interior of cars and navigation screens?
You should have asked, I’m more than happy to help 👍🏼 Just a glass cleaner. Removes light grease and flashes quickly so leave behind a streak free finish.
Great video as always….what pad did you use when cleaning the windscreen? Was it an old yellow rupes type pad? Are you looking to use something with a bit of bite when cleaning the glass?
Thanks 👍🏼 It was a white finishing pad, but in all honesty I wouldn’t be too picky about the pad. I have rayon glass polishing pads which I use as well, or microfibre pads 👍🏼 The chemical pretty much does all the work here
@@HarpersCarDetailing thanks, I figured it wouldn’t make too much difference but wanted to ask. First time I’d seen anyone cleaning the glass during the wash stage in this way and thought it’s a great tip!
No problem 👍🏼 It just made sense to me as it’s so much easier to wash it off than buff it off. When you rinse it off you can also see if any of the glass still needs polishing as it will sheet water still.
It’s a cerium oxide polish. It thoroughly cleans and polishes the glass to ensure it’s as clean as possible before applying the coating. Without this step 9/10 the wipers will judder
Sorry what do you mean by a tour of the detail? A interior & exterior valet could take anywhere from 2-5 hours depending on how bad the car is. Could even be longer if it’s really bad, but I haven’t come across that yet
I would constantly keep spraying the car with water to keep it wet, then use a good drying towel to dry it. Try using a water filter/deionised water as you wouldn’t need to worry to much
The brush alone doesn’t completely remove all the dirt and old dressings but the microfibre does as it grabs to the tyre better. Give it a go yourself 👍🏼
@@HarpersCarDetailing ah ok. I used a BILT hamber regular clay on a really dirty Astra once with shampoo as lubrication. Afterwards I used Autoglym SRP and a ceramic sealant spray. Will Autoglym SRIP handle the marring too
Did you chemically decon the car first? If not, then there will definitely be marring. I don’t think SRP is abrasive, so wouldn’t remove any marring but would at least hide it 👍🏼
@@HarpersCarDetailing no I’m afraid I didn’t. I’m a bit of a beginner you see and I was just using what I had in my garage - Autoglym polar blast, Autoglym pure shampoo, BILT hamber white clay bar (spray bottle of autoglym pure shampoo as lubricant), Autoglym SRP and then turtle wax ceramic spray sealant to finish off. I even used muc off bike cleaner to clean the engine bay and door Jams with a detailing brush because I didn’t have any APC and it’s a fairly safe product to use. The car was covered in tar spots and I had some Autoglym intensive tar remover to hand but since that stuff doesn’t come in a spray bottle but a regular one; it’s a bit tedious scrubbing off the tar spots one by one. I think I’ll buy some Surfex HD, Korosoll, cleaner polish and stronger spray tar remover to complete my collection. Cleaner polish should deal with clay bar marring by hand shouldn’t it?
I like your videos just a quick feedback you need to work on your camera angles use the screen place well unimportant things distract just focus on where there is action
The only reason I rinse from the bottom up is so I can see exactly where I have been with my pressure washer, as it’s the pressure of the water that removes the underlying dirt. If you started from the top then you would dilute the foam below and it would run off the panel, so you don’t necessarily know when you have been, therefore you could very easily miss a spot. Whereas if you start from the bottom you can see exactly where you have been and can use the above foam as a guide as it remains in place. After that, you only need to very quickly rinse from the top to remove any leftover product or debris.
When exhaust tips are too far gone you need something more aggressive then just chemicals alone which is why 0000 steel wool and a lubricated metal polish is used
You can't beat the daily driven details, specially bmw's. They get really good views. 👌 more please 🤙
Lovely job.
1,000,000 thumbs up for keeping it real about the tar and iron work. A couple of wipes isn’t cutting it. The same goes for bugs.
Thanks 👍🏼
Exactly! I see a couple of ‘detailers’ just spraying tar remover on then rinsing the car which won’t do anything!
What a superb gloss on that silver car... Fantastic work! 👍👍
Such a nice gift! Very good video 👌👍
Nice job! Glad you’re doing more daily driven cars!!
What a very much needed and thoughtful gift!
U fine
Gorgeous work! What an amazing birthday gift!
Excellent tips and fantastic job
Great job nick, I use h2go and find it great, it lasts a good while 👍👍
Thanks Eamon! H2go is great. There are longer lasting more ceramic based coatings such as Gtechniq G1, but this is great
Love this daily driver content, especially this one as I also drive an F31
Thanks Christopher!
I do love the shape of these!
Done a grand job on this BMW
Great job and nice result
If I could give it a double like, I would
Thanks Smusy 👍🏼

You too 👊🏼
Great video, im also a big Bilt Hamber super fan
Amazing video! Was definitely much in need of a clean!
Very nice
Great gesture . Nice car ...
Amazing
An excellent job Nick. I'm sure the owner was delighted. The 3 series looks great for 9 year old. :-)
Me gusta cuando hace la espuma en el cubo
After that, a shower is taken and then into the car with some favorite road songs and enjoy.
Interesting car that you don’t see often in the US
BMW six cylinder diesels are awesome machines.
how many hours does that same job take? with internal vacuum?
Would be great if you could give another 10 seconds or so to show the finished results👍🏻
Thanks Andrew, I’ll make sure I do on the next video 👍🏼
Very informative video, thank you! Given that the done & dusted is ceramic based will it still ‘stick’ to the triple you applied beforehand?
Thanks, Kaya.

Thanks, the product description is always in the bottom left of the screen when I’m using it.
Chemical guys water spot remover 👍🏼
Fantastic video mate, enjoying watching these dirty daily driven cars getting some attention 👍
Mine is worse than this at the mo😂😂😂😂
How much would it cost to do something like this for a BMW 4 series coupe?

yes, you can use a clay bar. always use the safer option first then work your way up the hardness scale

Fantastic results. Since you work alone, how long does an exterior and interior take to complete?
Thanks!
It depends what I’m doing. This was around 4-5 hours 👍🏼
How much longer does it take to complete a car when filming for a video. Love the content you put out 👍
Probably around another hour I imagine, maybe a little longer 👍🏼

A interior & exterior valet could take anywhere from 2-5 hours depending on how bad the car is. Could even be longer if it’s really bad, but I haven’t come across that yet
@@HarpersCarDetailing What I meant was can you show us everything you bring to a detail in your car?
I already have a video showing that. Take a look at last weeks video. At the end I show that’s in my car
@@HarpersCarDetailing Will do, Thanks!
What applicator pad was it you used to apply the polish 👍
I’m not to sure in all honesty, I’ve had it for years!
What PIR are you aiming for with the AutoFoam?
I aim for around 3-4% 👍🏼
hi harper, a question when i wash my car it dries very fast and there are water marks any advice?
I would constantly keep spraying the car with water to keep it wet, then use a good drying towel to dry it.

Why do you use a microfiber towel on the tire during the wheel cleaning?

Does tripple handle the clay bar marring?
I use the lightest clay and plenty of lubrication, so there’s little to no marring.

I’m not sure what the question is here?
Keep up the good work pal, love your detailed washes. Can't wait to detail my mercedes C250. And By the way, F*CK THE HATERS! ❤

I usually set the focus to manual like on my other videos but for some reason didn’t this time.
What kind on angles were you thinking?
You can watch Vermijl for reference his camera angles and videography in general is spot on!
How much this costs?
It was free as a birthday gift 👍🏼
I saw some dirt still on the car, Im getting really mad untill I realized its just my phone's screen LOL
Why not polishing it with a machine?
That’s a completely different service and would take days compared to half a day.
