Do you ever just forget to wash the car your daily driving for over 2 months, and it also just happens to be during the depths of Canadian winter. Thats exactly what I did. What would usually just be a quick maintenance wash turned into a small wheels-off detailing restoration. Every aspect of the exterior had to be addressed from the depths of the wheel arches, to exterior paint and everything in between. I used this extremely thorough detail as an opportunity to put one of the new GYEON EVO coatings on my car. This was a lot of fun and should aid in the waves from here on out. I think this really goes to show that maintenance is more important than anything. Keep your stuff clean! I hope you all enjoy this video and ill catch you in the next one. Much love.

That is so true I have from a child washed and looked after two cars from 10 years old every Sunday till I just left school at 16 . I’m now retired had my own detail business and detailed more cars than I can remember I’ve loved and took pride in every car I’ve owned , it gives me a feeling of pride especially when comments come ! 😉👍🏻🙏🏻

Yes, but the cleaning will prevent the corrosion from starting. I work on Helicopters and we conduct a Corrosion Prevention every 90 days, and that depends on how close we are from the ocean. Meaning, this car will need another one in a month and the latest two months. Until the salt season goes away. I lived in Alaska, and Cars get corroded over there.
@@ChromaticGarage another amazing job, mate! I just missed seeing what you did to the interior and if you protected the underbody. I use a lanolin-based spray product called Lanoguard and it's awesome. It lasts about 18 months and protects the entire underbody from the elements, salt, corrosion, etc. I said it before that the detailing companies should be investing in this area. The amount of early failure I see due to neglecting the underbody is just nuts.

Living in Vegas is a pain in the ass. Winter is just barely cold enough to prevent you from detailing your car outside, and summer is too hot. Had a really bad water spot problem trying to detail my car last summer since the paint is black and we'd experience regular temperatures of over 100 degrees. Gonna try picking up a demineralizer for my hose this year!
Winter has been has been bad here lately but it warmed up for a bit so I decided to do a quick detail on my X5. I was dismayed of the amout of rail dust and orange marks on the paint. I would have needed to clay bar, polish and wax with washing so I kept it simple; wash and wax only. The DA polisher removed some of the orange rust spots. Now I'm caught with paint chips on the bottom of the front doors and yea it's annoying to see but it's gonna go to the detailer in the spring.
